I'm an Army veteran and I can say that for those of us who put on a uniform and served this country, this song strikes a cord in each of us.
As a Dutch veteran I understand and underscribe the post...
As I,personally, never served my country to see it being sold out to oppressive, woke globalism, climate insanity and warmongering .

I did my 10+ years active duty. I got 100% disabled vet. I'm not proud of what I fought for so far in 2023 . I'm scared of the world we're leaving my 3 boys to deal with.. just makes me question why I even tried .
Thank you for your service. Your time wasn't for nothing. You protected our rights to rise up and take back our country. You sacrificed so that we could turn things around for your boys and my girls.
You fought because you believed in what America truly stands for. It's up to you to show and teach your boys the same. I'm proud of you as an American. I come from a long line of Military service. From my father, to his brother, uncles, grand-fathers, and great-grands etc. I respect what any Veteran and or greenhorn contributes. Love my brother is all you'll get from those who have seen, bleed, and broke for America. I love you. Stay strong.
Such an underrated point... At various points, I've regretted not going the military route. I felt I lacked the physical fitness and the discipline and while both of those were not only fixable but something the military actively trains for, I spent so much of my youth and teen years getting into altercations with my dad that when I turned 18 I was like why would I voluntarily sign-up to take more abuse just so I can have someone else be the one to give me orders all while likely ending up in Iraq/Afganistan (we we're 2-years into Iraq when I graduated HS at 18.75 and though my IT skills probably would have seen me more as a REMF, the situation was not encouraging and my penchant for adrenaline seeking whether it be shooting, skydiving, scuba diving or flying meant even at that age I had already acquired or started to acquire on my own an electic and interesting set of skills that would have been uniquely suited towards other roles if honed and sharpened to a point).
Still, though I've regretted my decision in the past, particularly when I was living in San Antonio and working with a lot of vets in my job from 2010-2014, the last decade but especially the last 3 years have been such a challenge that I've come full circle. I'm glad I didnt go the military route. Not because I dont still believe in the country and wouldnt stand up to defend the country if called upon today... but because I know, as angry as I am at what I see happening in the US today, had I gone that route, it would have broken me to see where we are now...
Bless you. Never give up on your beliefs,of why. And remember. You matter,thank you for you FIGHT. Yours kid's needed it.. bless you and thank you all. God bless America ❤
You said what I’ve been saying. I knew after taking my ASVAB in 2013 that I didn’t want to serve a country that doesn’t serve its people. Told my recruiter what’s what. I do what I can for my fellow Americans on our shores. I’ve been a C.O. And I’ve rented myself out for bodyguard work. We need soldiers here 👇

Spent 6 in the Navy, another 10 as a military contractor, glad to see you guys standing up.. keep in mind every 80 to 200 years the world gets into a conflict with right versus left ideology WWII was our last one.. we are in that bubble now, history shows this repeated throughout history. You might think so but America is not the world. I listen with interest that the US is under attack and hear people say we must take our country back. Why? Because of pronouns? People being self-obsessed about their sexuality? Try Britain in 1940 mate. That's what being under attack looks like.

I never understood as a teenager but I grew up fast when I had to work for a living. I have never appreciated my patriots and soldiers more than I do today… ty all for your service and giving us something so simple as freedom it’s the most beautiful thing in existence.

I live in Florida (Vero Beach area) my brother left his wallet in a Panera bread yesterday. Someone found it n turned it in. They didn't steal it. Now for those who will say "well Panera Bread has an richer customer base they don't need it"
My son dripped his wallet near a bus stop in front a walmart. He called and asked me to go look for it.
There were 3 homeless people at the bus stop and when they saw me looking around they asked if I dropped my wallet, I said my son did.
They found it and brought it to the bar next to Walmart who were in th phone with our NOT DEFUNDED sheriff's office to turn it in to them.
There was over 500.00 in cash these homeless people didn't touch a frigging dime. My son told me to go give them 120 bucks to split .
You think either of these situations would have ended the same In some liberal shithole?

I'm not vet but my grandfather and alot of friends are . I love my country thank you for your service it lets me injoy my freedom . You took a oath to protect the Constitution of the United States of America. Against all enemies, foreign and domestic. My grandfather told me that
I can leave my car and house unlocked. Leave my keys sitting on the dash and still expect my car to be there when I get up in the morning. I can go to work and come home to my unlocked house and find my packages still sitting on my porch, and all my stuff still right where I left it. You guys are absolutely right about how culture and leadership plays a huge part in crime.
