TimeForTeletubbies He’s also known for being Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock and he wrote several series with the other two (Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton (Shearsmith has also been in Doctor Who)) including Inside No. 9, the League of Gentlemen and Psychoville.
I don't know why their spammed your comment, it was true Adam spied on a family, and over time watching them talk, he started to learn how to talk, and actually taught himself how to read, and he read complex books as well.
"Frankenstein" is really about what happens when a child (the monster) is rejected by a parent (Dr. Viktor Frankenstein). Frankenstein only sees a science project, while the "science project" just needs a little love and help. So who is the REAL "monster"? It is Dr. Frankenstein, He is a sort of modern prometheus. But he creates life only to be repulsed by what he has. Dr. Frankenstein sees only "not perfect life", because of its appearence. He rejects his own "son" without even attempting to see the beauty and intellect being an ugly facade. He feels like Prometheus because he tried to be a "god", but fails. The tragedy being that the "father / advicer and son"-relationship is doomed from the start, and they will each suffer greatly for it.
"Adam" (Frankenstein's "monster"s name) is Latin for "human being" or "mankind" /"humanity". Btw, "Frankenstein" is really about what happens when a child (the monster) is rejected by a parent (Dr. Viktor Frankenstein). Frankenstein only sees a science project, while the "science project" just needs a little love and help. So who is the REAL "monster"? It is Dr. Frankenstein,: he who creates life has a life long responsibility. To deliberately fail as a parent is monstrous, but the child is still born HUMAN. Thus the "monster"s name; "Adam" = human.

They kinda did that, It was called Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, starring Robert de Niro as Adam, the monster. It has alot of twists though, and is not really that accurate compared to the novel. I agree a movie based entirely on the bok would have been really nice! :D
"The monster" in "Frankennstein" by Mary Shelley was called "Adam", because it is Latin for "human being" or "mankind" /"humanity". Btw, "Frankenstein" is really about what happens when a child (the monster) is rejected by a parent (Dr. Viktor Frankenstein). The child - the "monster" - is not "born" out or love. It starts as an kind, innocent and intelligent being. But is lost amd lonely in the world, without help, guidance and love. Being different means hi is understood and feared- The "unwanted" person seeks someone like himself, a female partner, from his creator. Refusal of this, makes him consumed with anger, and thus. Only then does he become dangerous and vengeful towards his "parent"; Dr. Frankenstein. Dr. Frankenstein is the real monster of the story, as he creates life just for the achievement, not becaise he cares for whom or what he creates. He does not care for the well-being of his project to create life, although it is at least as human and ressourceful as himself. .
Well I don't believe the creature was ever called 'Adam', but adam is definitely not a latin word. It derives from the Hebrew noun adamah, meaning "the ground" or "earth".
congratulations on the only fact being false??? the monster was never given a name by frankenstein, only called names such as wretch and devil ect. The quote "I ought to be thy adam, but I am rather the fallen angel" is a reference to the countless mentions of the book Paradise Lost. After reading it, the monster is meant to identify with Adam due to being created by Victor, but instead with Satan as he was the protagonist of the book, as he sees himself as the good one.
The one sat in the middle is mark gatiss who wrote and stared in Doctor who

Lol "don't touch the suit" I do love Mark Gatiss
Please spell Mary Shelley right
The monster says to Victor "I should get your adam" then says he's a fallen angel
It's a brilliant book!
I thought Mary Shelly was around in Victorian times. Guess that proves me wrong.
Matt Lipton well looking at her clothing it’s 1830
Frankenstein was written in the late 1810s but Shelly was alive for the first twenty years of the Victorian era
Me too!

0:26 Because that joke certainly won’t be uncomfortably outdated a decade after this episode comes out.
Whoa holy cow wishing people being shot? Also you didn't miss it, Mary only said the monster's name was Adam in her letters.
