Brilliant restoration, brings back memories,I learned to drive in one of these.Once I can get some money together I'm heading to eBay to get a 1/42 if there are any on the go.
Perfect restoration although the air filter is missing. This Triumph Herald Coupé is my favourite from Corgi Toys. Nice video. Cheers from Barcelona (Spain).
Fabulous looking car Bob. Your videos are spellbinding cant stop watching when I start. Very down to earth no messing and honest restorations. Who cares about the rattle cans if your getting results like this!!!! Brilliant
very nice resto,Bob.only car i ever owned was a Herald saloon,in dark blue.i was 15 at the time,i bought it with 2 other people,at my school.had every intention of learning to drive, but turned to 2 wheels instead.
What a great job Bob! Another Triumph..... I find that if you put a tiny piece of grease on the end of your screwdriver, then you can put the screw onto the screwdriver & it should stay in place while you offer it up to the actual screw hole..
I certainly am a subscriber, from the Isle of Harris. Myself and my 8 year old son like to watch your vids, we are building up a wee fleet of cars to restore/customise. Just moved house with a nice garage, so making it into a work shop. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the good work.
@@BobWilliscorgi we haven't restored one yet, we just got the dremel and some spray paints, a few cars (some from my childhood/loft), tap and die set etc. Just waiting on some wheels and various bits and Bob's. Itll keep us busy in the winter up here through the holidays and keep the wee mans creative head occupied. We'll post our first attempt. Take care 👍
My Aunty used to have a Triumph Herald Vitesse soft top in maroon on a old 1972 K plate , lovely looking car but it was always needing a push lol! great video mate lovely result.
Some Herald bumpers are white rubber. The one of these I had, had a detachable air cleaner in the engine bay (available from Steve Flowers) took me about 3 rest rips to get mine right due to bleed
Scale Street Garage Hi mate, not sure if the fan I got coming is brushless? It’s a bathroom extraction one but will be fitted to the side of the booth with a gauze filter over it anyway, the spray won’t be going directly into it. It says it’s an industrial extraction fan, I’m afraid I don’t know much about these things but it will be fitted as safely as possible. 😉
Hi Bob, an excellent resto job as alway's , i think the colour match for the Blue is spot on ,the whole car just look's so good , and as i quite often say , looking forward to the next resto , even through i don't know what it is going to be. Also looking forward to seeing your new spray booth. Mind how you go and take care . Rob.
hi bob. hark the herald angels sing glory to the new born king of restorations. this one turned out to be a true triumph. glad your going to be able to do winter resto/s. I am going to send you 2 Gerry Anderson dinky toys so watch out for the postman or woman. keep doing a proper job very best regards ian.
A good price but a great restoration, I love it. And I’m glad to hear you’re not going anywhere soon, you mentioned running out of cars so I guess that’s where I got that from. Looking forward to seeing your next one.
the model is modelled on a very early 948 model signified by the chrome handle in the middle of the bonnet the early cars were very different to the main production years as body panels were altered , trim was altered , seats , engines etc etc etc essentially the first cars although they looked similar to later cars were completely re designed
Wow bob that is a nice bit of eye candy you've worked your magic on a lot of cars but I have to say this is my favourite just going on ebay to find one myself colours are stunning 👍👍
don't get people taking time to type they don't like something .. I go and watch something I do like . owned 3 real heralds , one of the first cars a 948 with basket glove box and a 1200 and 12/50 nice cars drove quite a few miles in them
Hi Bob, just nice to see a simple restoration and as always it came out marvellous.Look forward to seeing the paint booth you still get great results with the rattle cans and glad you mentioned the name of the paint.Your diecast collection must be growing now, sneak peek or tour vid coming up ?
Dave Wstson Hi mate, simply make a start for the drill bit at the top of the dome by using one of those small metal engraving tools that you get with a multi-tool set, then once you’ve got a small dimple created big enough just drill off the part of the rivet holding the plastic screen with a bit larger than the rivet head very carefully without going too deep otherwise you might go through the roof! 😳 Just take your time until the plastic glass will clear enough to pop out.👍
Thanks Ian, I’ve actually done that a few times since this video. Learning as I go 😄also I put the front axle in wrong on this, don’t know if you noticed 🙄
Hi Bob, another great job there. That was a car I remember very clearly from my childhood. It now looks smashing. Can you tell me where you buy the devices you use to hold the castings when you spray them please.
Greetings from Atlanta GA, USA. Brilliant as usual Bob, I love your work!

My Aunty used to have a Triumph Herald Vitesse soft top in maroon on a old 1972 K plate , lovely looking car but it was always needing a push lol! great video mate lovely result.
The Triumph Herald had 2 headlamps and a 4 cylinder engine, the Triumph Vitesse had 4 headlamps and a 6 cylinder engine
Great job bud, looks mint. Cool casting, I love the details on the bonnet.
Nice job Bob keep up the good work.
Lovely jubbly - that little triumph look's absolutely brilliant it's just like a bought one. Well done Bob 👍
Some Herald bumpers are white rubber. The one of these I had, had a detachable air cleaner in the engine bay (available from Steve Flowers) took me about 3 rest rips to get mine right due to bleed
Very nice job Bob. Looks like new.
Cracking job as always Bob.
Remember to use a fan with a brushles motor in your spray booth as fumes are flamable
Funky

Simply fantastic nice one Bob
Wow! Brilliant job Bob
I believe that Standard-Triumph International worked with Corgi to get all the details on these models perfect.
Good restoration on the corgi!
You can get spray cans of the exact Powder Blue from the Triumph Sports Six Club, as well as the other Triumph colours.
Lovely restoration !
Very cool casting awesome work 🔥🤘🏻
I just found your channel pretty cool stuff, I'm a model builder, but that corgi stuff looks fun.

Hello bob caustic soda from Wilco is great at removing paint
Glyn Stimpson I usually get it from Trago as you know but when I’m in town again I’ll try it out 👍
Amazing batman knowledge on paints etc. My mum learned to drive in a triumph herald. Can't see Bruce Wayne driving a Vitesse, can you?

Hi Bob brilliant work love to watch but can you help me by telling me how you get the glazing out if it's riveted like dinky who used dome rivets
😳 Just take your time until the plastic glass will clear enough to pop out.👍
I found you could pull the suspension rods forward far enough to get the rear axle out. Bit late for this one, but if you ever do it again
Thanks Ian, I’ve actually done that a few times since this video. Learning as I go 😄also I put the front axle in wrong on this, don’t know if you noticed 🙄
@@BobWilliscorgi didnt realise there was a wrong way apart from not getting it between the posts
Oh wow my friend that is a thing of beauty. A beautiful restoration.......I love the crossed flags how did they turn out after paint.
keith Hawtin not too bad as I didn’t overdo it with the paint 😉
Hi Bob, another great job there. That was a car I remember very clearly from my childhood. It now looks smashing.
Can you tell me where you buy the devices you use to hold the castings when you spray them please.
GRAEME GUTHRIE Hi mate I get the forceps from eBay and I also use crocodile clips mounted on old paint brush handles 👍
Good job Bob Brian Thailand ( you ve had a shave ha ha )
