I love watching you and your dad. The respect you have for him is awesome. These are special times for you and I hope you cherish them every day. I say hello from a few miles down the road in Mobile and I love watching all the happenings in each and every video.

Your dad’s like a walking encyclopedia. My father in law use to tell me “a lot of good stories in old books and I’m an old book”. Probably not much your dad hasn’t seen and done on the farm and got great stories to go along. Be cool to get him to share some of his stories of triumph and challenges every once in a while! Thanks for the content

My grandfather had a 1936 Allis-Chalmers cable driven dozer. I asked him 1 day Why do you push them big trees down when you have them chainsaws you could cut them down with. He said the weight of tree pulls the stump saving the dozer the work of pulling stump. They lived in a old house that someone had put a addition on that he didn't like, So one Saturday while grandma was at work he emptied out that part of house & took a chainsaw and cut from roof down to sill plate. Then took that dozer & pushed that addition out into the woods, Stone foundation n all. By the time granma came home he had it plywooded n tar papered. Guess who was fit to be tied.

What a great story! I would be willing to bet that it's 100% true. I could tell a few myself, but this is your story hour. After a really bad night at work, you made me laugh. Thanks Brother! Thomas, Mississippi!!

That fan clutch that JD puts on all there equipment is junk. They should have come out with something like the Case IH. It’s very simple to change. That’s why we went all Red equipment!! They are so much easier to work on. There new combines are are one hell of a machine. Y’all know cause y’all have one and I tell y’all a chicken will starve behind it!!😁 Good luck with the JD tractor!!👍🙋🏼‍♂️

Those fan drives are one of the worst things about the newer tractors ya it’s a great idea to save a couple hp when you don’t need to have the fan running full speed but seems like they go out to often thanks for sharing great video

Already prepping for 2023 harvest. On other YT channels, John Deere delivers parts and helps to put in and update software and stays a couple hours to make sure everything is working properly....Guess not in Alabama....LOL Somtimes you just need a new O ring.

Been there done that on the fan drive on a 8245r and 8295r except on those models you had to remove a flush plug and then insert a grease zert and then lube the fan drive. John Deere sold a lot of fan drives and thus they had them in stock🚜

I bet some of y'all will be back there cutting firewood! Looked like a lot of prime hardwoods falling! That ground in the hay field is ripping up nicely! Workable row land that close to home is a bonus! I know some of those remote fields, like Blackwell's especially, can be a pain. Heck, I reckon Autaugaville is just as bad. Hwy 14 is a death trap! Your Dad is a wise fellow, I'd love to meet him sometime! I bet we've got a lot of mutual friends in and around Selma.

The guy who's running the tiger cat is doing a great job. His cutting head is setup for pine thinning. Cutting those big hardwood trees with it is difficult, and you can destroy a machine quick with 1 wrong move. It would be like picking cotton with a 1 row vrs a 6 row.

Great video, here’s my tip of the day keep your top link threads lubricated with chainsaw chain oil especially the exposed thread it’s super sticky and keeps top links from seizing up it works a treat for me in a soggy climate that we have here in England so I am sure it would work for you
