No Lee, you're not an absolute barstool over the i10, you did everything in your power to make them re-think their decision, so you did right. I was totting it up in my head, profit from 1st sale, commission from the 2nd sale, profit from 207 and then the profit from the 3rd sale......you've virtually made the value of the car profit minus the tax department's cut, well done you.
I have to say that I arrived late in the day to test drive that juke - lovely car! Was really impressed at how accommodating these guys were for me! I put down a deposit and was going ahead with the sale. I went home and through no fault of these guys I couldn’t go ahead! I’ve not been in this position before! I called Wayne the next day and briefly explained and had no problem whatsoever to say keep the deposit, it’s not your fault at all. But the reason I wanted to make this entry is that this dealership really deserves the reputation it’s gaining. Really helpful people and it’s refreshing to find a car dealership that really is helpful. I hope to one day return and be in a better position to buy a car from you guys. Really chuffed the lovely Juke sold and best wishes for your future.
Some people have more money than sense, but if it falls at your feet, pick it up very quickly and carry on. You are more than honest and fair, which is something most car dealers are certainly not. You reap what you sow !!
The i10's are cracking little cars. You were honest all the way down the line, so if the customers wants to do the deal its down to them. Great channel and like the way you cover common issues you have and items to replace as standard fix issues.
Great video, for 2nd customer it sounded like a scam at first but now sounds like customer just didn't know what they wanted. Maybe i10 wasn't right for them after a 207. Still all their fault so take the money!
There's nothing quite as strange as some folk. Mind you to some folk £2-£3000 aint a lot of money and they maybe want to draw the line over older cars. Got a neighbour who replaces 2 Range Rovers ( his and hers) every 2 years and he's had SVRs , Hybrids etc. and the cost is immaterial.
I had a 2003 honda accord 2.4 petrol. I bought it with a slight dent on the rear so only paid £500 for it. It had 121,000 miles on the clock. I had it for 4 years and then had to sell it as i needed to get q car more suitable for my disabled wife. When i sold it ,it was on 175,000 miles and all id ever had to put on it was a battery some tyres and brake discs. It was utterly bombproof! Fantastic cars! Oh and i got £800 for it when i sold it too!
Some people of a certain "Mind Set" are 100% Right. Don't argue. Just agree with Him/Her. But I agree with your ethos in trying to steer them in the. "Right Direction" In the end they were happy and you where. So Satisfaction all around. See you in the next one. Cheers. 👍👍
Spot on how you handled the i10. I suspect they bought the newer and more expensive car on a bit of a whim and needed the £1500 PDQ to avoid financial embarrassment.
My am i being scammed radar is whirring. I agree with others to ssy mark engines or gearbox. How was the original deal paid for? Probably nothing to worry about but sadly ive been scammed a few times and now always weary
Hi mate, you just wonder why they didn’t trade the i10 to the other dealer? Maybe they wasn’t interested or they offered them less than £1500! Be good if these deals come round every month! Great video 👍🏻
You did absolutely the right thing. Maybe they knew that hey could make more money themselves in their own occupations than making a few hundred pounds extra , and without the hassle of dealing with tyre kickers at their front door!
Sometimes people just want out of a car (or two). They had a newer car arriving and I guess the i10 was a panic buy for them. I guess it won't happen too often 😅 Thinking of travelling down from Scotland for the Civic though 😂
You've done nothing wrong - either legally or morally. The i10 is a great little car, especially on this low mileage. My girlfriend bought an i10 made in 2008 from a friend of mine, who had only done 15,000 miles in it - and she's as pleased as punch with the i10 - as well she might me. I've been renovating and tuning pianos for 43 years now. I think the same principle applies to cars as to pianos - just because a piano is older, doesn't mean it's no good. Of course, the life span of a piano is FAR longer than that of a car. A car which is, say, 20 years old is equivalent to a piano made say, 80-100 years ago. So for me, if a car has been well maintained and is not rusting away, the fact that it's over 10 years old doesn't worry me one bit, any more than I'm worried about having a piano made some time ago. An older piano which has been properly renovated and looked after - provided it was a good instrument in the first place - can be every bit as good as a newer piano. That said, a lot of older pianos are not too great, just as a lot of older cars are not too great. Yamaha and Kawai are perhaps the equivalents of Toyota and Honda, Steinway the equivalent of BMW or Mercedes, Bechstein of VW, etc.
Hi Lee. Just a quick one. Which Black Trim Restorer do you use. Always look great when you put up for sale? Keep up the good work on the videos. Glad You Tube is growing your business mate.
we use auto smart products, highstyle for tyres and outside trim, for the inside we use dash magic sponges and for inside we use Autosmart finish or dashdandy again the same company.
If they want to throw money away then why not grab with both hands . Make it while it's there makes up for the dry spell you've had some one s watching over you lee keep it goin ...
I get them, they just don't want to deal with the hassle of selling the car privately, having to keep up with two cars, and happy to pay the price for their peace of mind !
Gotta say lee you do attract the odd one's 😂but you did all you could to not buy the car back at 1500 but if they were happy then why shouldn't you make a good profit, you dont win on them all lee so why not not a profit when ever you can👍
You could end up with people coming in, buying a car of you, go on their holidays for a week come back, don’t want the car now, you give them a full refund and they’re happy cos they’ve had a free hire car for the week
In Cornwall, a wheelbarrow full of money wont buy a car, amazed up country struggling dealers havent cottoned on. Drive it to cornwall, double your money, get the train back.
High mileage here in British Northern Ireland is 5,000 miles per year with dateless UK(NI) number plates. Our car covered 2,300 miles last year through normal
Loving your MoT, over here in Northern Ireland (UK) the next booked Test date I can get is August 25th. I can still drive without it provided the car is roadworthy.
Makes you wonder if a crime as been committed in the car and then given back, Did they register the vehicle in there name or just hand back the log book un changed, Just kidding mate, I'm sure you taxed it before they took it.
Lee, is there a search engine you use for auction cars for those after a particular niche low volume car / model? If you want something rare it can be a nightmare trying to sift through auction listings from multiple sites. Thanks.
Just want to add, I bought my daughter a 2010 VW Touran 1.6 Petrol 7 seater model, alloys RCL very clean car, 120k 5 speed manual from Lee a few months ago. She absolutely loves it. I’ll be back to buy more cars for my granddaughters when they pass their driving test.
I enjoy your videos giving your views and tips on the used car market. You come across as an honest car dealer providing reliable cars at a competitive price along with great customer service. You are a rarity in your field! 👍
That deal was great for you, BUT You could have offered him the Yellow 🍋 Fiat 500 😂 Maybe a buy one get one free for any other car 😊 One day it will disappear and we will miss it
Just a thought. The i10 hasn’t had its plates cloned? Or is ear marked as a known criminal motor on the cops database? And owners being pulled on a regular basis? Makes you wonder why the last owners wanted a get rid quick 🤔
Fair play to you getting things done properly on the cars before you sell them on a honest car dealer (not ever one is) i would watch then a car comes back to you so short time for sale after you sold it them like other peoples comments about the engine and gearbox as you can't trust anyone mate
Had a 2.2 accord 2005 tax 1290 a year here in Ireland 🇮🇪 2008 during the recession they changed over to c02 emission based and i bought a 2009 civic tax 280 then dound it small so bought a 2012 accord 2.2 ... tax same engine 390.. Like wtf.... split level tax system ... and im originally from Manchester. Sure its criminal
Hi Lee, wow the car that keeps giving. I don’t think you are an absolute b*****d. I think you have played more than fairly and like you said he would only sell it to someone else. As they say don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. As ever you are an honourable dealer with a conscience that is transparent with your prices. I say good luck to you sir. Dave Birmingham

You said it yourself. Your a businessman. Your there to make money. You tried to explain that the car could be sold by them privately for more money. Nothing to feel guilty about. Haven’t ripped anyone off. Far from it.
You do more than most when it comes to things like this, I know of some people who would have knocked them down on the £1500 knowing full well they are already quids in. You’re not a greedy man
It's an interesting one re the i10. My daughter has a 12 plate i10purchased a few months ago. We put a new clutch and clutch cable on it. I must admit it feels different to drive if you are not used to one. Hers seems to almost over rev when changing gear. I understand this is not uncommon on this model and perhaps enough to put some people off. Just seems strange that both purchasers rejected yours. Still as you say, good profit each time👌
"What goes wrong" Ive enjoyed watching a couple of these videos telling us what to look out for when buying one - can we have some more please Lee ? People critize the Juke. We bought a brand new one in February and it's amazing. We kept our MX5 toy ( as you do).
Some people have more money than sense, but if it falls at your feet, pick it up very quickly and carry on. You are more than honest and fair, which is something most car dealers are certainly not. You reap what you sow !!
Spot on 😊
Civic is priced below private sale prices around here, and yours comes with a warranty.
Disagree you can get that shape civic private now under 1200 had one myself last year on a 1.8 2007 paid £900 with no.issues long mot
As a trader i would mark the engines!! People returning cars.
And gearbox too. People do that trick often
100% The public and the most dishonest people around,we have to be transparent!
Wise words. I totally agree
lol it’s so true. Rentals too 🤣
Great idea. 👍
You don't need to feel bad mate
The i10's are cracking little cars. You were honest all the way down the line, so if the customers wants to do the deal its down to them. Great channel and like the way you cover common issues you have and items to replace as standard fix issues.
Great content and video. You did the right thing. Please don't feel bad.

I had the i-ctdi 2.2 Mk8 Civic for 11 years. Most reliable car I have ever owned and was an absolutey economical motorway mile muncher.
He's your neighbour because he spent all his money on cars than houses!
He's smart because a 3 year old RR will start to fall apart 😂
I think those old shape civics will become classics in a few years time
Don’t worry about keep buying the same I10 back, it’s a win win situation, good business 😊
I had a 2003 honda accord 2.4 petrol. I bought it with a slight dent on the rear so only paid £500 for it. It had 121,000 miles on the clock. Good on you fella did everything right
Hi Lee good video , keep a eye out on them cars asked for on email 👍
Cheers Ryan.
Hello CarUKMan
The white 500 looks odd with peugeot wheelbase
What happenes to the former keepers in this situation?
That's what you call good business.
Hi mate, you just wonder why they didn’t trade the i10 to the other dealer? Maybe they wasn’t interested or they offered them less than £1500! Be good if these deals come round every month! Great video 👍🏻
Maybe they did, I guess I will never know but I am happy anyhow with the result 😁
Some people just have more money than sense..Not your fault at all Lee.you should have more customers like this one.
What is the little dark colored car between the blue Aveo and the white 500?
You did absolutely the right thing. Maybe they knew that hey could make more money themselves in their own occupations than making a few hundred pounds extra , and without the hassle of dealing with tyre kickers at their front door!
Ur so funny ur great love watching ur channel it's a bit like the espide of the man on bike I'm crying with laughter

I would have done exactly the same great deal
Have they taken a pay day loan out on it
Can i ask where can i get car trade prices from just starting out and need guiding
i meant to ask you how did you get on with the rates sudation
If you can sell the same car 3 times in 1 month that must be a UK record :)
Buyers regret and they just want out without hassle, write the loss off. Seen that, been there!
Lee How's the evoque you bought the mrs
So far ok, will be getting it in to do a service and autobox fluid change in the next week or so. Thanks for watching again leeds 👍👍
I would not feel bad they wanted rid
I get them, they just don't want to deal with the hassle of selling the car privately, having to keep up with two cars, and happy to pay the price for their peace of mind !
I’d of done exactly the same as you did Lee
Glad to see it’s all rocking along nicely !
Is the i10 haunted?🤣
Feels like that 😁
So alister still owns the site thought he sold the place to you
My old Dad always said no person should buy a white car out of choice so we the public all know where the old bill are!!!
Gotta say lee you do attract the odd one's 😂but you did all you could to not buy the car back at 1500 but if they were happy then why shouldn't you make a good profit, you dont win on them all lee so why not not a profit when ever you can👍
Well done ! I10
Well if theyre back next week with a lawyer and a sob story, at least you have witnesses to your version of events
You could end up with people coming in, buying a car of you, go on their holidays for a week come back, don’t want the car now, you give them a full refund and they’re happy cos they’ve had a free hire car for the week
The Civic is cheap!! Wish I was local!
Da da da da da da twilight zone🙏🙏🇬🇧
Busy week
Crazy people
There isn't any asylums nearby by the way
😂
😂
Nowt so queer as folk! You did the right thing Lee...you can't help some people 😊
You did all you could, so i think you were fair to the customer.

EZ to say
High mileage here in British Northern Ireland is 5,000 miles per year with dateless UK(NI) number plates. Our car covered 2,300 miles last year through normal
I love how matter of fact you are when you say "we'll just drop a clutch in it" !! Top chap !!
Loving your MoT, over here in Northern Ireland (UK) the next booked Test date I can get is August 25th. I can still drive without it provided the car is roadworthy.
I think you was completely right in what you said and did for both of the people very fair. Watching you has put my faith back in car dealers.
You clearly are a decent trader. I wonder if the price the customer came up with might have been what they had be offered in part exchange?
could be
Another great video Lee.
I'm really enjoying your videos mate 👍
Thanks 👍
Makes you wonder if a crime as been committed in the car and then given back,
Did they register the vehicle in there name or just hand back the log book un changed,
Just kidding mate,
I'm sure you taxed it before they took it.
Lee, is there a search engine you use for auction cars for those after a particular niche low volume car / model? If you want something rare it can be a nightmare trying to sift through auction listings from multiple sites. Thanks.
the customer whos getting the alfa can at least have reassurance that their car has been checked
It’s amazing what a husband would do for some piece and quite 🤣🤣
🤣
They set the price…you accepted. No harm, no foul. 🇨🇦🇨🇦
You're good with people Lee. You've got a business you can be really proud of. Well done 😊
Many thanks david 👍
I enjoy your videos giving your views and tips on the used car market. You come across as an honest car dealer providing reliable cars at a competitive price along with great customer service. You are a rarity in your field! 👍
Have you ever considered after dinner speaking ? 🤣🤣 Ps. How many owners is the car going to have on the V5 ? First question i’d ask 🤔
How did you get on with the council, and your business rate problem is it still an ongoing problem
Now Lee, ..........long cut sideways ....................I've got this Volvo XC70, ............and a little black i110 ????😉
🤣👍
That deal was great for you, BUT You could have offered him the Yellow 🍋 Fiat 500 😂 Maybe a buy one get one free for any other car 😊 One day it will disappear and we will miss it
During the pitch update I couldn't see it in its usual spot and I was getting withdrawal, until he changed angle and I caught view
@@mjcamp01 😂 Maybe the suitcase lady bought it for Man on Bike.... Justice for the Fiat 500 🍋 !!!
Do hope this wasn't a money laundering operation!
Just a thought. The i10 hasn’t had its plates cloned? Or is ear marked as a known criminal motor on the cops database? And owners being pulled on a regular basis? Makes you wonder why the last owners wanted a get rid quick 🤔

Looks like that i10 jinxed? It just wants to stay with you on the pitch. Lets hope third time lucky.
third times a charm 👍
Bet the guy who gave the i10 back got offered £1500 as a trade in on his newer car.
Maybe
Or less than £1500, that's why he offered it Lee for 15.

I find your videos extremely interesting with all the behind the scenes details. Also a natural speaker on camera, keep up the good work👍
Always a great watch. ‘ Nowt as queer as folk.’
Another video just landed, with news on this car featured 👍😁
Hi Lee, wow the car that keeps giving. I don’t think you are an absolute b*****d. I think you have played more than fairly and like you said he would only sell it to someone else. As they say don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. As ever you are an honourable dealer with a conscience that is transparent with your prices. I say good luck to you sir. Dave Birmingham
Mind boggling mate 👌
keep up the good work lee, youre a decent, honest trader, i even recommend you to people here in stockport! worth travelling a bit for a decent car.
15:51 what’s the deal with the blue Chevrolet? Are your sales listed anywhere online?..
Love the vlog and the chat. 📺 Compulsive viewing! 😁
I remember reading somewhere that Alfa Romeo had a cambelt issue years ago with some models of car made at a certain date.
Can't remember the issue now, but it was recommended that the belt on affected vehicles was done at 3 years or 36000miles, whichever came first.
I would hazard a guess that if that Alfa had the belt changed at 3 years or 36000 miles it was one of those affected vehicles.
Just my pennies worth.....

On the alfa try a proxi alighment prodecure if battery has been low or flat can cause modules to turn off, and that causes miliage to flash... been out to a few of them now
I'm new to your excellent channel, but just wish I knew where you dealership is! Atb
You are a genuine honest guy i am a trader too,and would have done exactly the same as some people you just cant help Lee.
U can't be a car lover an not like an alfa even with problems, pity they design brilliant looking cars an then let themselves down
You couldn't write this stuff more money than sense ffs lol
You are not a bastard Lee you are there to make money not lose money show three times come back good for you and well done cheers Dave
Don't be a fool just some people to much money an it covers a problem in future as not everything comes up roses
