@snoop4470 the moment I pinpointed the series reaching the point of no return was the Governor getting a tank. A fully functioning fucking tank, that just some random guys had. The series could totally have ended happily ever after at the prison, so the directors had to come up with some way of penetrating an impenetrable shelter and did it the stupidest way possible.
@@NecromediancerNa it's a show based very closely on a long running comic series. Admittedly the show didn't handle the fall of the prison as well as the comics

Loved this and everything you do!!! Great recap! I did hear a couple of incorrect comments. Michonne did not kill Andrea as Andrea wanted to take care of it herself. And Michonne did not get the official kill of the Governor. It was Lilly who got the final kill shot. I remember at the time there was so much hoopla over who was gonna kill him. They basically let multiple people get their piece to try to appease and confuse (😅) the fans.
You covered a lot of detail for like seasons 1-3 but then just glossed over HUGE amounts of stuff for the rest. Including Daryl's exchange w/Patricia in the final episode which for me was the best line of the whole series. I'm paraphrasing here: "You tried to make the world the way it was before. The way it was before was the F***in problem"
I just binged all 11 seasons and I was shocked to find out that Rick’s group did in fact NOT serve Negan for months. According to the official TWD timeline - Negan showing up in person and killing beloved characters to getting imprisoned takes place in less than a month. Which is ridiculous but then again Maggie knew Glenn for like 2 weeks on the farm and they were saying they loved each other 🤣 A day in an apocalypse must feel like a month to them.
I stuck with it until ricks story ended. I think its major problem was just the amount of characters it had, it didnt have timd to service them all correctly.
It’s funny that no one mentions that zombies broke in the glass door in season 1 with a rock. Strange that never appeared in the series again until the final season.
@@ashley.taylor174 yeah, definitely, I was only mentioning it because they highlighted it more in the final season even though it happened in the first season but it never happened again until the final season. It also wasn’t mentioned either.
Remembering leaving the Walking Dead sometime after Karl's death and before Negan defeat now wanting to give the spin offs a chance this was a very useful recap of things I knew about and some that I didn't.
The show emphasizes the strength and survival that come from working together. In a world overrun by chaos, relationships and trust are vital for survival. This reveals that the greatest threats aren't the zombies but other humans. It underscores the dangers of unchecked power, fear, and selfishness. Despite the darkness, the story carries a message of hope and redemption. It shows that even in the most desperate times, people can find purpose and rebuild.
Just watched the first episode of Dead City, kinda like the vibe they go for, doh I felt the episode was more on the slow-start-side. I just love the TWD-Universe, but I need some more Maggie & Negan in future episodes and I’ll be good 👌🥳
I liked the slow start. I think these spin off shows need to try be different from the original show to justify their existence. I loved the visuals aswell. Looked more like a movie
@@culchiefilms1791 Visuals were super good, I meant more overall it took its time for everything, not what I would like a first episode to be, but that’s just personal ✌️
@@_TheViewer_ Yeah I get ya. I do think they could have skipped over some things, especially towards the start, but I'm sure some of the scenes that seem pointless now will have more meaning by the end
the crazy guy Negan mentions in the first ep, was he ever shown in the original crew during Negan's reign of terror on TWD? Or is it again one of those things writers do and just imply/say he was there but we never actually see him until now.
I just absolutely love that for that really short time they explained lucielle they casted hilarie burton morgan as his on screen wife❤❤ (his real life wife)
I think completely glossing over Carol and Daryl's relationship is a major omission, as well as neglecting to mention Daryl and Leah/the Reapers or Henry. The "new characters" that joined like Connie, et al and Princess/Mercer I don't mind you leaving out, lol. But great job. :)
My second favorite show ever, and easily one of the greatest shows in history. SO GOOD! Even the final season was solid and I loved the last episode. Stoked for more!
What about the connections to fear of the walking Dead and walking Dead world's beyond..... especially that show because of the connection with the Commonwealth
There's an entire episode about how Carol told Tyrese how she burnt the bodies and how she had to kill the one kid because she was crazy I think her name was Sophia and the reason Rick let her back into the group is because she save them from terminus they didn't randomly just forgive her
If all the factions would just work together they could likely nearly eradicate all of the walkers on the continent. There's more guns than humans in the US and with all the tanks and other military equipment left behind it shouldn't be that difficult to take out massive hordes of walkers. Go into a big infected area with 10 tanks and you could wipe out a whole city of walkers in days.
