I am buying the Santa Cruz!! So excited can't wait for my Yarn to arrive!! I just like to thank you for all your great tips and videos!! I always come back to your tutorials if I need help! Happy Crocheting 🧶 🥰🌻
So Helpful - I am starting the Turkish Delight for my mom - I am excited! I was not doing it correctly, then watched your video and it is all clear to me - thanks! I should have viewed it first, would have saved me from frogging!!!
Love your voice/accent. I could listen to it all day. Maybe you can do audio books! You've done a great job explaining this beautiful and exotic stitch technique. I can't wait for part 1 of the CAL. Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to send me such a wonderful comment, it is greatly appreciated. And I'm so happy that you are going to be taking part in the CAL. Like you I can't wait for part 1 to be release either. Not long now :)
Love your videos Moira, nice hearing a fellow Scot. I came across your videos after watching Tinna. I had watched Mikey from the crochet crowd doing mosaic, (love him, but boy he talks at hundred miles an hour lol)that method was worked back and front, and used chains to skip stitches, then treble crochet two rows below over the chains. I’m going to try both methods to see which I prefer. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos, new subscriber here ❤️ Sandra
I hope you have found the method that suits you Sandra. It really is just a personal preference as to which way you get on with it. You can usually convert most designs into either method once you get comfortable with they way you prefer. Thank you for you lovely comments too. Moira x
daisyknots Thanks Moria, I didn’t realise there were two methods. I do have the apache tears blanket in my library, but just one of those things I wanted to try. watching Tinna (that’s is how I found your channel) I think I will just do it same way, one row method, and double border. Thanks again for the great videos Moria. Sandra x
Hi! I just arrived on your channel and I love the crochet mosaic technique. Unfortunately I don't speak English and for that reason I ask you to subtitle your channel in Portuguese or Spanish for your Latin-speaking followers. I used the translator to write. kisses from Portugal 🇵🇹
Hi love your tutorial. First time I learn Mosaic crochet by your teaching. It's really cool. Could you make more tutorial on mosaic crochet pattern please
Hi Surina there are more tutorials coming at the end of August as I am hosting a free CAL for an afghan and there will be tutorials for that.. Sign up to my newsletter so that you don't miss the notifications of it.
Thank you for the lovely video. I was wondering if I’m wrong in thinking I could use this as a 12 stitch repeat pattern - or if I’m missing something? Because the 8 looks like a repeat in itself, so could I do half of it again (or, really just repeat the 4 howevermany times)? Clear and concise instructions in your vid, thanks again.
Yes you can definitely use this as 12 stitch repeat pattern - it actually is a 4 repeat pattern. I only made it 8 for ease of explanation in the video. I used it in my blanket and it looks fab crocheted in different colours. It has a real tweed like look to it.
I have only just gotten the patterns. Am watching the videos now. When you say always start from the right of the pattern does this apply to left handed people too?
Beautifully illustrated
Folks, this is the proper way to do this technique. Explained perfectly. Thanks for taking the time to educate us properly.
You are most welcome Georgia, enjoy your foray into the mosaic crochet world.
@daisyknots. You have explained this method crochet the BEST EVER!!! I have watched tons of videos on mosaic crochet and hands down you are the best.

Finally! I understand this!
So happy that I have demystified mosaic crochet for you :)
Thank you so much! You have taken the fear out of trying this!
So pleased to have been able to help and introduce you to this fab type of crochet. Beware though it is very addictive :)
Great, you're using the same method as Tinna for the Havana CAL, so I will have no problems understanding your CAL.👍🏻
Monique yes ,I’ve just subscribed to Tina ,these 2 are a great team to refer to for straight forward guidance 🙏🏽🇬🇧

Question- is this a sample size or the actual size for the center of the blanket?
This is just a sample to show how to work this method.
Ok. How do I know how many chains to do for the foundation row? Do I count the number squares in the chart going across?
I have bought your pattern and am wondering how to get the charts so I can print them . Thank you
Which ones?
Hello I couldn't find where I can buy this pattern Thank you
This is pattern 3 of the mosaic sampler. You can find it in the mosaic sampler pattern.
@@daisyknots Thank you very much

daisyknots Ah, thank you so much - I just wanted to make sure. Can’t wait to see it in real life for myself.
This is so helpful, thank you! I'm always amazed at the kindness of fellow crafters to use their valuable time to educate others. It's appreciated!
Hi! Thank you for this. One question please. What did you start your piece with? It did not seem like a chain. Is it a sc foundation?
Yes it is a chainless foundation.
@@daisyknots Thank you! I finally realized this and found your video with the explanation! Thank you!
I have only just gotten the patterns. Am watching the videos now. When you say always start from the right of the pattern does this apply to left handed people too?
If you are a left handed crocheter you can read the patterns from left to right as the pattern is symmetrical.
Good !!
thank you 🙏
Which way do you read the graph if you're left-handed
My left hand tester tells me she reads my patterns left to right as they are symmetrical and that they work better for her that way.
what does finish off yarn at the end of the row mean?
To finish the yarn at the end of the row you snip the yarn and pull the end through the last chain stitch and you do this at the end of every row.
It looked like you made two rows of white in the beginning but the pattern looks like it has just one.
one row of chains and one row of dc (sc)
👍👍👍👏
