Why are we(slavs) always stereotyped as a squatting, wearing Adidas people doing illegal actions. In reallity we drink vodka in squatted position and decide what Adidas store we should steal from.
@@elpelu123 Truck hijacking has been a common practice by the mafia and it still is today. It's one of many ways gangsters illegally make money. How young are you? I hope you're not a zoomer
@@ChillerBaby In the whole of Europe, especially phones, tv's and luxury brand clothes get stolen alot lol. Kinda wish I'd encounter a thief. I don't care if Samsung doesn't get my 1000 euro as if they lose alot of money.
i am not proud about this but i buy my ps plus subscription from G2A and Gameflip, i still cant afford to get it from the ps store because i am still juggling a student budget but i buy all my games on sale from the ps store.
Srier _ Hey, you're definitely wise if you decided to buy from me! I'm Ukrainian and I can offer you anything, plus It'll all be 10% cheaper than it is on G2A! all you need to buy is an insurance and a two-way ticket to Ukraine. 100% Legit and backed by the government! P.S. it's a joke
I second this! The damn courts use illegal copies of Windows. You know, the people whose job it is to send you to jail for using illegal copies of Windows.
+Gentleman Gamer They don't dislike Eastern Europe. It's a jokey dig aimed squarely at Jake because his last name is Eastern European and he may even be from there.
The only reason g2a exists is because big publishers put out shitty games and charge people 100+ dollars for content that's worth 1/3 of that. Big companies deserve a part of the blame in this sketchy behavior.
+Totally Tom No, that's like walking in a shop, noticing the expensive coat you want has really shit stitching and was obviously made in a sweat shop, walking out and buying the same coat off of some guy in an alleyway around the corner for way cheaper because you still think it looks nice. You don't want to directly steal it (and he didn't necessarily steal it either, could be a sales opportunist) but you don't want to directly buy it either because either you're a cheapskate or you want to say fuck you to Nike. I bought Total War Warhammer off of G2A, it's a good game, but they made blood & gore a paid DLC, I don't care if it's only $3, that pissed me off and it's my way of saying fuck you.
BULLY HUNTER_77 Saying fuck you to SEGA? That's one of the few golden companies left that don't do shady loot boxes and pre-order bullshit. It's one of the few publishers you should applaud and financially support for avoiding the cheap money schemes.
TheRea1Gordon Why not pirate it? Then you can check out the game and buy it when it goes on sale if you like it. That's cheaper for you and it gives the publishers and game developers more money.
Publisher want us to pay 60€ base game + 30€ season pass + (RNG)micro transactions (+ soon paid mods) for the full experience. Fck em. Only game I recently bought off steam is (edit after 3 months: It's Hell Blade not Hell gate.) Hell Blade: Senuas sacrifice to support Ninja Theory. Not buying off of G2A though.
better judged by 12 than carried by six. because some people want to support the game developers. making a good game is a lot of hard work. b7t microtransaktions and season passes are the wrong way imo
This is a consequence of different regional pricing. You argue that all these key are magically produced or stolen. Maybe they are legally aquired in cheaper countries and then sold with a margin in a more expensive country. So the devs / publishers get the money. G2A is a middle man or service provider. Their model works because there is a market problem. In a completely globalized and digital economy it is difficult to maintain and justify regional pricing. Western Consumers get less for their money.
This is with out doubt the most sensible comment I've read so far. People hating an entire website based upon what could well be argued is only a handful of "sellers" doing shady practises is ridiculous. Sites such as these only exist because the industry has created the need for them by themselves and have no one else to blame.
Dan Reck There are no cheaper countries. Here in eastern europe a brand new game costs 90 usd, not 60. They are not cheaper, they are more expensive. The credit card scams are a real deal.
G2A sells stolen keys, this is a fact. You can't guarantee some random guy on there selling hasn't stolen it. cdkeys.com sell keys DIRECTLY, themself, therefore all keys are simply bought cheaper in a different country and not stolen. Avoid G2A, use cdkeys.com if you have to.
Forgive me if I'm missing something but for the keys to exist in the first place (to then be resold on g2a), they had to be bought from the developer. Meaning the developer has already received money from every game that's been resold right? Unless there's some other way they acquire keys without buying them from the dev
+Nylex they can be bought with stolen credit cards. Then when the bank recovers the account the money is taken off the Dev and given back to the true owner of the card but the keys are still in the wild. This is why the 'dodgy' sites are frowned upon because there has been proven cases of credit card fraud funding some purchases
Rekaw97 ..That's a catch 22 situation though as I do agree devs are taking the piss with unfinished games, and micro transactions....but if developers don't make money we will have no games!! If developers don't start treating the gamers right they will have no buyers as well..thats why people turn to these sites or pirate games!! This is why they say we are heading into a gaming slump, something has got to give..The industry has become very lazy and yet very greedy!
Rekaw97 Precisely why I don't mind buying most Activision games from g2a, but then again, I would still be giving money to a bloody scumbag! So what is the point? Pirating seems like the best option between buying an awful port from a scumbag or another scumbag, so I choose neither if it comes down to that. (This is all hypothetical, I do not condone pirating...)
You can choose to support the devs that actually respect you. Many still do. So just support their games and not support the ass hats. It is not really a catch 22. It is only if you see AAA gaming industry as essential to having good games to play. I do not think it is. They are enough companies out there like CDPR and many indy developers that make great games and are not greedy. If a dev is treating you like shit, do not give your money to G2A that can actually harm indy developers more (which are the ones that generally treat their consumers better). Do not play the game or pirate it.
License to chill. When I am a dev. I will put a Anti scammer version of my game with on those websites which will make you pay each time you launch it. And it's legal since I will hide it in the user agreement which is not in the EXE. If you want to steal money from me I'm going to rip you off. That's sounds as a great deal. It will be some sort of subscription. If you pay you're liberated for just 1 week or something. After that you have to pay again to launch the application. If you don't pay it will delete itself and a E-mail with a new key will be send. However that same key again is the anti scammer version. I'm going to fuck all the scammers and thieves when I am a dev for sure. And I will pull the finger to them in my first interview about piracy.
i dont care where the keys come from, mates. just like steam doesn't care about the income difference between EU countries when it sets the same prices across the region. but russians can get cheaper games off steam, sure.
i bought over 100 game keys off G2A and only had issues with one.. where i got a refund in about a day. in the end i saved up at least 500 EUR thanks to G2A so i am happy.
Soo you have experience. if there are 3 people selling one has a price of 39, the other 35 and last one 30 the actual game is 40 which one would you buy?
@@thecollector4332 to be honest even if he is supported by G2A i have bought a lot of keys from them and not even one problem so ......and if you get a one key that doesnt work you would be saving a lot in the long run and i dont understand how they could say that the keys are stolen how can you know that stallen keys would be blocked by steam wouldnt they
So to avoid two shitty companies, you support another shitty company? You might as well pirate the games then, it would be less damaging for the industry.
The reason Gearbox pulled out of the G2A deal wasn't just because of the backlash. They took the advice of their followers and offered their service to G2A in exchange for them to be more transparent and less shady when it comes to resellers. G2A pretty much told Gearbox to eat shit and then the deal was broken off. Clearly G2A has no intention on being clean with their userbase.
Don't care too much. Piracy is shady but I've done that before. The site has saved me money in the past and as long as it continues to do so they'll always have business, from me and thousands more.
It's not even shady. Squad costs $40 on steam, $32 on G2a, and during steam sales it's $30. Buy 100 copies during the sale and sell them after the sale and you make $200. Pretty simple fucking math in my opinion.
I see your point. just consider buying the more expensive games from the bigger companies who got their wealth and support the smaller ones with the ones who cost 20-30 dollars on steam
Yea i don’t really care either man. To be honest as long as i get to play at the end of the day i don’t really care. The majority of companies are shitty anyways. I’d only support an indie at this point.
Purchase from Humble Bundle, Green man Gaming, Fanatical, & Gamers Gate. Those are the websites I went to as a g2a seller for resales. You will save more money going to these shops and prevent fraudulent activities from taking place. If fraud is not a concern, At least you saved money going to real shops and 99.99% of the time if not 100% you will get what you paid for. As a G2A seller for the last couple of years, I have had enough supporting such malpractice on a global scale. They rob from sellers as well as the buyers, so they have a double edge on stealing. It's horrendous and I know of no other company in the world that can get away with such activities. It just goes to show you how addictive video games have become. The choice is completely up to you, and I applaud you for it, but I"m so fed up with working for this company, I can't even stomach it without feeling sick to the core.
It's shadier than Vantablack, which is the blackest black of all blacks. They are crooks by definition and they support horrendous practices with both sellers and buyers. I don't mind the possibility of reselling codes, which should be available for anyone and everyone, but G2A just is a horribly company to support. Weed dealers have a better moral compass than these pricks.
When GTA 5 came out I bought that on PC on G2A then several months later steam took my key away from me for some reason 0-o Contacted G2A when it happened and they refunded me straight away and looked into the seller. I then bought the game again much cheaper and haven't had an issue with this key. I also didn't pay for the "insurance". G2A is probs full of dodgy keys although Pretty Good Gaming are implying that ALL keys on G2A are dodgy and that's simply not true. They're impying that G2A are promoting illegal activity which also isn't true -_- Pretty Good Gaming just lost a viewer although not that they'll care - NOT because they spoke bad about G2A because while Pretty Good Gaming MASSIVELY over exaggerated everything some of what they said is true! Pretty Good Gaming can suck my discharge because I don't feel they represented both sides fairly.
Devolver Digital have just updated their website with a list of approved keyseller sites. If you want deals, checkout this list, we strongly approve. Humblestore and Greenman are my personal goto places to get great deals AND still support the industry we all love. Please don't support thieves and con artist. www.devolverdigital.com/static/vendors/
If big companies can get away with being legally greedy, small dodgy gray entrepreneurs will always pop up to feed on whatever crumbs they can find from that market. However, I get the notion that the gray market is not just attracting buyers who can't afford full-price products but also the consumers who don't want to support the current money-making schemes infesting the originally intended market. Pretty Good Gaming; you all rock as always! High or low, nipples or biebers! No topic is too small or too big. Keep it up!
NoJusticeNoPeace They are greedy but rarely con-artist. EA's DLC policies are shitty, but atleast they always put how shitty things get on the box with full disclosure. Say what you want, that's a level of transparency that G2A will never have.
Yeah, people want cheaper games but we don't want sites that undercut no one but small developers. They do nothing to the big developers/publishers that you guys are mad at.
Bought at least 30games on g2a and all of them worked. I don't know where the game key came from, as long as it works and I don't have to pay retail I'll keep using g2a.
I do see the appeal and I honestly don't blame people who buy the cheaper games. As a college student who is also an avid gamer it's hard to fuel my hobby these days with 60 dollar games with a 30-45 dollar season pass. Even 10-30 percent off can go a long way. I think the issue is with the gaming industry's prices right now, if you make a good product for a reasonable price then there isn't a reason to look to sites like G2A.
Steam Summer Sales are ridiculous, so I would just wait for those sales, because a lot of those deals are even better than G2A. Some of the Christmas ones are decent too.
Except you can get those sales by buying from LEGITIMATE key resellers like Gaming Dragons, or GreenManGaming. Its grey market sites like G2A though which are the problem.
Reidsome It's easy to say wait, if I waited long enough I could buy a 60$ game for 5$ but playing a game while it's still popular means spending the full 60$ or going to sites like G2A. I pay to play with my friends and to not being late by 3-9 to a game when everyone's already moving on to the next new thing.
I've picked up keys on a similar site a while ago. They were promo codes for a free to play game, I believe were bundled with Intel processors. Some company bought bought a few hundred of these CPUs and someone sold the keys for about $15 each. The only other game was one that was removed from Steam because another company bought the rights to the title and released a new game, unrelated to the original, with the same name.
One might get the wrong impression from a video such as this, its awfully sympathetic to already ludicrously overpriced AAA gaming industry, One might even be forgiven for seeing you guys as Corporate Shills.
I can kind of understand if you are buying a AAA game, (as the developers who put years of effort into the game have already been payed) but with indie games, it's really bad to buy from G2A as the developers rely on purchases to keep their company afloat.
@@MatthewCAbel You talking about driver san fransisco etc? Just pirate it. It's better than giving g2a money but tbh it's fine if you want to buy it off of there as you can't get it anywhere else.
Back in 2015, I really wanted to get Sims 4, but, on Origin, it was $89, so, I decided to buy The Sims 4 on G2A for $50 and it worked! So, I don't think there is anything wrong with G2A in my opinion.
I bought from g2a 30 games and never had a problem. If devs are gready and drop us tons of dlcs , overprice shit, bad optimization, abusive measures and things like that i prefer to buy the games from g2a(no , its not only EA and Ubisoft). If they want me to pay 60$ for a game they must give me a good game + a good service.
Soo you have experience. if there are 3 people selling one has a price of 39, the other 35 and last one 30 the actual game is 40 which one would you buy?
I admit that i do use the site now and then. Mostly for steam games that I can't buy in my region. I know certain games are not averrable to me, but some games are in my region but not available to me on steam. I've also noticed that keys appear on G2A after sales or humble bundles. So I'm sure people are buys those cheap and then reselling them. The main concern I think is that there's good chance some of these keys are being bought by stolen credit cards, which adds shade to the whole thing. As far as saving money, I try not to get sucked in by the low prices. I mostly buy indie games, not as a conscious effort, it's just most of the games I want are indie, so I try to buy straight from the dev or from Steam as a show of support.
Leave Eastern Europe alone! I live there and because we are in EU I have the same price as Germany with half of the income (I earn a lot for the country I live in :P, in general is with "10% of the income" :( )
If I'll leave my country I will go somewhere to work... not to receive free benefits. And I will go in a country when people will apreciate me... btw which country are you from? Oh... and if you have Eastern Europe please stop playing Witcher :P
riiiiight.... you know UK and Germany brought the muslims all by themselves right? eastern Europeans are actually the only Europeans who oppose muslims... what can I say... an ignorant, who thinks his country is the center of the earth PS: If I will leave my country, UK will be one of the last countries I will think to go to... I have my pride, you know...
Great video guys. Only went to the G2A site once, for about 3 minutes, and decided it looked dodgy as hell and yes the insurance thing was the icing on the cake.
Thank you G2A for selling games for the price they are actually worth, maybe once the gaming industry starts making their games without loot boxes, micro-transactions, DLCs and actually having all the content available in the game with the INITIAL ONE TIME ONLY purchase, then i might consider spending more than 10€ on a game. Until then, may G2A prosper. (ps. i consider it supporting theft if you buy from the gaming company who sells you empty promises, so buying from a credit card thief, or buying from a company is, in my eyes, the exact same thing, i rather just waste less money)
I don't want to ever want to do anything with G2A Again iv got scammed RDR2 Key on there they way he did it was first I got the key it worked 2 weeks later he asks Rockstar for a Refund I lose access to the game I found this out by contacting Rockstar Support First then I'm contacting them about a refund on G2A if I don't I'm mostly gonna try chargeback and I don't want anything to do with G2A ever again especially with the information I heard about them
Guilt of what? the keys were already paid for, the devs got their money. That's like if I bought Avengers Infinity War and sold it to you for cheap. What's wrong with that?
Ive been using g2a for 2 years without having g2a shield and ive never had a key bounce back. In my opinion game developers are greedy. Me and my mates wanted to play tom clancy division a old as hell game. It was 70 AUS on steam still thats almost the price of a new game but on g2a we got it for 20 AUS. Im a uni student i dont have 70 to spend on a old game with a dead player base but we wanted to play so g2a is what we did. Maybe if steam actaully changed the prices of the games as it got older i wouldnt use gray websites but they are just greedy people who want more money.
Kain VanEck exactly. Fallout New Vegas a 12 year old game is still $20 on Steam. Plenty of other cases too. I'm not swimming in money so deals like this are really appealing
That's because resellers always sell a tad higher than sales price and lower than retail prices. Retail prices are instead fixed until there's a sale... It's a matter of patience.
That aint right, if you want something outside your price range, then you save for it like anything else. If you are a uni student without 70 to spend on an old game, then you are a uni student that can't play that game until you save it or just make that sacrifice, no? I am not against you using G2A but don't try to justify it by saying devs are greedy, it's a business and they need to make money just like how you will in your future.
I agree that they need to make money but the game is old now and their is micro transaction in it. you should lower the price of your game as it gets older otherwise you are just being greedy and trying to milk every penny out of it that you can. IDK why anyone would spend the money that i could buy destiny 2 with in a couple of weeks on a old game with a player base averaging on less than 2k
I myself use g2a every now and then. For example i got gta 5 for like 25 euros, not 60. I wont pay 60 euros just to "support the devs". I'd rather get me games cheap.
I only use G2A for older games (4+ years old) that have been on major sales in the past, but aren't anymore. I do this so I can play them with friends, etc without spending a huge amount of money.
"Mild gambling system"? It is flat-out gambling! No other way to put it! Seriously why are there no stricter rules and regulations concerning this stuff?
Iv'e NEVER been scammed on Amazon, and when you have issues they give you 100% money back and, sometimes then some for the inconvenience. G2A is more or less "buy at your own risk" unless you buy their shield, and even then THAT'S hit or miss lmao. Who's paying you bro?
To me it sounds more like the devs want people to play it, but not own it for cheap. Think of it like this, a key site may be an old sale. Shady companies don't really care for old sales. Like all of those products on amazon that have pissed reviews because the company asked if you got it from amazon, and then denied service. They made the money from that sale already when they sold to amazon in bulk. So they want people to buy new keys to make more money.
Z it doesn’t makes sense to me though, bc you get a key that allows you to download a game from steam, so there’s literally no chance of downloading anything dodgy
Hi Mike, hi Gareth, I have to tell you my personal situation and why I'm using G2A in my country: G2A allows me to pay my game printing my receipt and going to a "rapipago" or a "pagofacil", stores that are usually use to pay taxes and other services like internet or cable; they are accessible and work in local and, more importantly, physical currency. I can't buy dollars, the current economic situation doesn't allow it for particulars, and I can't have a credit card, the bank wouldn't give me one unless I have a “real” job that pays me better than the norm and a lot other things (I have an informal job, that pays me less than the norm, and I barely get it to the end of the month, one can't found a well-paid job easily here, it’s almost impossible, plus the cost to keep the credit card is beyond my current economic situation if I for a chance come across a chance to have one). I don't buy in G2A because "I love the site" or because "the game is cheaper or doesn't deserve the full price on steam" but because "I don't have another way to have the game"; I would gladly buy the games in their respective developers stores or steam, or even tip the Echio games I consume once in a while, but I can't, not because I don't want it to, but because I genuinely can't do it. I only can buy in G2A and wait for the best outcome in the developers end. I think I have bypass the thing lately buying in G2A the Steam gift cards, so I can have money in the steam wallet and buy them from the site, but that is more expensive that the games or the real value of the dollars I’m buying, so I'm overpaying the games that I buy this way and that is not, in my case, the better way to get them. So, unless steam accepts my local currency, the peso, and allows me to pay through other means that are not the credit card, I can’t stop using G2A. About the loot crates, I will stay far away from them, because, like I said, I use G2A because I have to, not because I want to. Sincerely, and thank you for reed, Joseph PS: Please anyone reading this, don’t go with the “If you are so poor why are you buying video games?” I will give you my answer now: because I want to and a book is more expensive than a video game.
Mates you forgot something. The crates are setted up as such you get the lowest rarity game in the crate. I did the math on a single crate and the probability to get a game with rare or over rarity is 53.15% and i free tested the crate over 10 times and i got a uncommon game only one time
I bought Civ 5 from them. turned out the key was already in use so i could not install the game. NEver got money back even tho i really tried with screenshots of the message of used key etcetc. So basically thats why i dont like them. SCAMMERS,
Na Never touching that site again. If there even is a chance you get scammed why should you bother? Like i said i was in contact with them, but they refused to give anything back eventhough i had all the required evidence needed to show them that they sold me a used key.
i was under the impression that they were brought in bulk during sales and then sold afterwards for said or slightly raised price. edit - i got myself confused, im thinking of gmg instead but i may still be wrong with how they operate.
I don't buy a lot of games off of g2a but I will if I have to. This channel talks a lot on how developers are screwing us over but make a video like this.
Because part of the reason developers are screwing us over is because they have to source other revenue streams because they are losing money hand over foot to grey market sites like G2A. If you would buy from legitmit key resellers like GMG, or say Games Planet, or Gaming Dragon. Then we would be in a better position in the market.
Lowlightt you're totally right. Microtransactions are indeed a stupid move in games. However if you take that part out just see how much money the game costs to create. Pay the full price or just fuck of from the gaming community. Game devs run the gaming community, not the gamers. Deal with it.
There was an article regarding this issue, dont remember the name though, but was very informative. developers are actually aware of such sites and might aswell providing them with cheap keys to cover both markets and needs, not all gamers are ready to spend full price on a game and by the time the price goes down, there would be many other interesting games competing with it, thus it loses interest and value. Some games on G2A and Kinguin maintain their prices and never go below certain mark (GTA 5, Overwatch, DayZ .. etc ). To say that developers arent getting any money out of it, its ridiculously stupid as they could have just shut this sites down or even make a disclaimers regarding the matter. Its a clever economical practice that ensure maximum profitability from all sorts of gamers. of course there is a handful of scammers on this sites, almost everywhere for that matter, but with the review and feedback system you make sure to buy from the trusted ones. I've been using both G2A and Kinguin for years now and never had an issue, all games are working perfectly. I'm one of these gamers that dont have shit load of cash to spend, i pay for my games but as much as my wallet and budget allows me.
k. so when it's *your* credit card a seller uses to buy hundreds of keys to resell on G2A I hope your credit card company just shrugs and says "0 fucks given."
Capnsensible80 if your smart, you’ll buy a vanilla card, no way they can use more than $15.00 of your money if everything goes wrong, and can’t be tracked back to you
I thought most g2a keys were got from certain countries having cheaper games and then selling them for for a slight profit but the price is still cheaper than most other countries.
This makes me worry about CDKeys. I've seen some complaints about them where people had codes that didn't work or were already redeemed. Similar to G2A?
So i want to buy a game from G2A, however I am scared that my cc information is not going to be safe with this company, and that once I buy the key, I might be banned by the company (the game is online). What should I do, is this fine?
Ok so you tell gamers to vote with money yet you are against g2a? Do you not realize THIS is a good way to vote with your money? Shitty practices by game devs can be punished by using g2a. Contradicting statements indeed.
No, a good way to vote wiht money would be NOT buying the games at all. But that would require you to have some semblance of willpower. All you are telling them is that you want their games but you are cheap. And you wanna know what they do them? You get the money for free and they take you money with microtransactions since those aren't sold with keys but only directly from the ingame store. GJ, THANK YOU.
Eh. There are a lot of games that come out with dlc already on it. Jumping into a game 90 dollars only to know that the season pass was bullshit and you still need to shell out 40 dollars on cosmetics... People don't make games without the intent on making money. If these guys weren't making money they'd be doing a capcom... Instead, they're doing a GTA5 because they're killing it with transactions. Obviously you don't see that the base game is the real game and the extras are to milk you. Obviously you should hate that, so, pay the kind people selling the cheap key, still get the game, not support the toxic money siphoning.
About 10 years ago piracy was considered a good way to vote and voice an opinion. It worked to some degree, but due to legal issues it was shut down to an extent. THIS is a good way to tell publishers and devs NOT to screw over a community or fanbase. There are 100 different cases where they screw us over. Gta for example, hell no im going to pay a full price for a old game thats riddled with cashgrabs. So i bought it on g2a for 20€ this year, easy. Not a practical example on my end but it voices my opinion regarding full priced games 6 years after relevancy. As long as g2a is legal.
It is a horrible idea actually, you can go to sites like humble bundle, sites that actually give you game keys that don't have to be questioned. G2A is toxic just like the people you are trying to screw over, you are replacing one bad thing with a different bad thing, if G2A does extremely well, someone will copy them and have the same problems, then someone will copy them and the cycle continues. The whole reason why games are milked today is because a company did it and it worked, then another company did it and then another and then another. You do not want more sites like G2A to appear, it would hurt the industry, not fix it
Hence why they say "allegedly". There is plenty of evidence though, amongst them being indie developers putting their games on piracy websites and telling the gaming community that they do so in order to avoid paying chargeback fees from stolen credit card keys. That and the whole "guarantee" fee they have as well. There ain't smoke without a fire and G2A has a ton of smoke.
Resident Evil 2 Cosplay. Just screenshot the game and let google search for it. Sloshimi Slooper pfffft yeah dude just get a vpn, who cares if you can’t play online and don’t wanna risk being shutdown, when I doubt Vpn out a suuuuuh dude
Half of the games I have in my library are from G2A or Steam Sale. They used to have cheaper alternatives to most games, but two yeas ago when Overwatch released, a friend of mine preordered the game from G2A and didn't get the award skin for Widow which was very disappointing. He contacted the site and they said that they couldn't do anything. Turns out it was not a preorder copy. Since that day I haven't shopped from that site. Still I think that game developers should reconsider their pricing, because it is very restrictive for many gamers.
It isn't though. Gamestop or Eb games have a legal responsibility to make sure games aren't stolen. (because they are liable if they are) G2A has no responsibility. Gamestop has to keep records of the people who sell them products to produce a chain of ownership. G2A does not. Which is why its a grey market. You have no idea where the key came from or how it was acquired. Which is in turn the entire issue with the site.

The only reason g2a exists is because big publishers put out shitty games and charge people 100+ dollars for content that's worth 1/3 of that. Big companies deserve a part of the blame in this sketchy behavior.
Zack Reese that's like walking in a shop and saying "that coat is too expensive its nikes fault I'm stealing this"
+Totally Tom No, that's like walking in a shop, noticing the expensive coat you want has really shit stitching and was obviously made in a sweat shop, walking out and buying the same coat off of some guy in an alleyway around the corner for way cheaper because you still think it looks nice.
This is spot on. I've never bought any indi game or game £20 or under from g2a. But EA and AAA?... maybe

Or just in sales and bundles. The narrative that most of them are stolen or fraudulent is bullshit.
Dan Reck There are no cheaper countries. Here in eastern europe a brand new game costs 90 usd, not 60. They are not cheaper, they are more expensive. The credit card scams are a real deal.
Western consumers get less for their money and Eastern consumers get less for their work...
@@PrettyGoodGaming But, that may be a 1 in 10 case, right?
But if devs are treating players like shit I don't want them to get any money.
+Zuffin While pirating it is still better than G2A the high road would be to not play the game at all.
Jasper Zanovich
Good point
You can choose to support the devs that actually respect you. Many still do. So just support their games and not support the ass hats. It is not really a catch 22. It is only if you see AAA gaming industry as essential to having good games to play. I do not think it is. They are enough companies out there like CDPR and many indy developers that make great games and are not greedy.
If a dev is treating you like shit, do not give your money to G2A that can actually harm indy developers more (which are the ones that generally treat their consumers better).
Do not play the game or pirate it.

Keep it up!
Pretty Good Gaming but most gaming youtuber sponsor by this website
NoJusticeNoPeace They are greedy but rarely con-artist. EA's DLC policies are shitty, but atleast they always put how shitty things get on the box with full disclosure. Say what you want, that's a level of transparency that G2A will never have.
Yeah, people want cheaper games but we don't want sites that undercut no one but small developers. They do nothing to the big developers/publishers that you guys are mad at.
Bought at least 30games on g2a and all of them worked.
I don't know where the game key came from, as long as it works and I don't have to pay retail I'll keep using g2a.
agreed, who cares if the devs get money, they already have the "good peoples" money so not having mine will do literally zero harm
Peter Sharr If you want the game when it comes out, just buy it. Pretty much everyone can cough up $60.
Reidsome oh I do, I'm just saying I don't blame people who don't.
I bought 5 games, all worked perfectly, I recommend it!

There's a reason why they mention the developer who put his game on piracy websites. Because they're not corporate shills.

I bought from g2a 30 games and never had a problem. If devs are gready and drop us tons of dlcs , overprice shit, bad optimization, abusive measures and things like that i prefer to buy the games from g2a(no , its not only EA and Ubisoft).

Screw The Media That was sarcasm
I always see that piñata breaking thing, but I still don't know from which game it is!
IDK why anyone would spend the money that i could buy destiny 2 with in a couple of weeks on a old game with a player base averaging on less than 2k
i'd love to hear your opinion on humble bundle? especially the monthly subscription.
I myself use g2a every now and then. For example i got gta 5 for like 25 euros, not 60. I wont pay 60 euros just to "support the devs". I'd rather get me games cheap.
What about Instant Gaming and Kinguin? Are they any good?

You guys are one of my favorite channels, keep up the good work.
If a dev uploads their game to Piratebay and says rather pirate instead of using this reseller, you know there's a reason to avoid G2A.
Z naw, just a developer who doesn't want gamers from Slovakia to make a quick buck from their hard work. They get paid either way fuck the publishers.
Sergio Roche no they don't. If the game was bought with a stolen credit card they need to return the money.
Z it doesn’t makes sense to me though, bc you get a key that allows you to download a game from steam, so there’s literally no chance of downloading anything dodgy
jesus perez Not just that. If it was bought with a stolen credit card then they have to return the money *and* pay an additional fee.
Hi Mike, hi Gareth, I have to tell you my personal situation and why I'm using G2A in my country:
G2A allows me to pay my game printing my receipt and going to a "rapipago" or a "pagofacil", stores that are usually use to pay taxes and other services like internet or cable; they are accessible and work in local and, more importantly, physical currency.
Sincerely, and thank you for reed, Joseph
PS: Please anyone reading this, don’t go with the “If you are so poor why are you buying video games?” I will give you my answer now: because I want to and a book is more expensive than a video game.
You should probably just pirate the games at that point. That way, you don't risk actively hurting the developers financially.
I bought 1 game from G2A before I knew they were shady. To make up for that I bought the same game twice as presents for friends.
Mates you forgot something. The crates are setted up as such you get the lowest rarity game in the crate. I did the math on a single crate and the probability to get a game with rare or over rarity is 53.15% and i free tested the crate over 10 times and i got a uncommon game only one time
Dude those keys are bought when the game is on sale
2:30 "slav9.jpg" in the lower left corner haha!
ill be honest here. i dont like them because every one else doesnt like them and i wanted to fit in.
The editing work that went into this video is clear. You can tell they SLAV'd over it.
I bought Civ 5 from them. turned out the key was already in use so i could not install the game. NEver got money back even tho i really tried with screenshots of the message of used key etcetc. So basically thats why i dont like them. SCAMMERS,
kigisc2 buy from someone with high satisfaction and use the shield for games worth more than $20.
Na Never touching that site again. If there even is a chance you get scammed why should you bother? Like i said i was in contact with them, but they refused to give anything back eventhough i had all the required evidence needed to show them that they sold me a used key.
kigisc2 then dont use Amazon, Ebay, Craigslist, or any other site.
Amazon can be held accountable though. Especially when Amazon sell the stuff themselves.
i was under the impression that they were brought in bulk during sales and then sold afterwards for said or slightly raised price.
edit - i got myself confused, im thinking of gmg instead but i may still be wrong with how they operate.
Jay Money i only buy overpriced shit like bf and cod on g2a.
Lowlightt you're totally right.
Microtransactions are indeed a stupid move in games.
However if you take that part out just see how much money the game costs to create.
Pay the full price or just fuck of from the gaming community.
Game devs run the gaming community, not the gamers. Deal with it.
pretty sure Gareth (the one with the goatee) is the guitar player in his channel Gareth Evans
G2A is not bad. It's like eBay or Amazon. There can stolen keys sold anywhere
If developers really don't want their games on the site then stop using keys. It's as simple as that...
G2A is a pretty good site. Really cheap games.
so how is this business model different from ebay? Vid plz
0 fucks given. I do with my keys what i want, i bought them fairly.
k. so when it's *your* credit card a seller uses to buy hundreds of keys to resell on G2A I hope your credit card company just shrugs and says "0 fucks given."
60€ for a game? No thx, G2A all the way!
Is Humble bundle the same thing?
Nahh, G2A made me only have to pay 5 dollars for what was over a 100 dollars of DLC on steam.
You could use this same logic with Ebay though. Each person has a rep on the site. Also GMG also has loot crates.
Hell yea Jake! Slav power! But in all honesty fuck G2A and everybody using it. Great video as always, cheers from Poland guys
This makes me worry about CDKeys. I've seen some complaints about them where people had codes that didn't work or were already redeemed. Similar to G2A?
More like why don't publisher like G2A?
You do not want more sites like G2A to appear, it would hurt the industry, not fix it
In what way is it toxic? Could you give me a few prime examples?
what's the game on the background with all those pinatas?
Marco Guzzo The greatest Game in the world Today 😂
Hey look, accusations without proof.
Hence why they say "allegedly". There is plenty of evidence though, amongst them being indie developers putting their games on piracy websites and telling the gaming community that they do so in order to avoid paying chargeback fees from stolen credit card keys. That and the whole "guarantee" fee they have as well. There ain't smoke without a fire and G2A has a ton of smoke.
don't bother with facts, he just wanted to drop a zinger
ignorance is bliss
That pic at 1:16 lmao, anyone know the original context??

Then pirate them
Sloshimi Slooper lol, get a vpn
Sloshimi Slooper pfffft yeah dude just get a vpn, who cares if you can’t play online and don’t wanna risk being shutdown, when I doubt Vpn out a suuuuuh dude
Buy the online games on sale then? You can easily get them 50% off just 6 months after release.
Cuz its a scummy piece o' shit site and im angry that so many ytbers promote it,at least in me country
It's honestly not. You must never have bought off g2a because anyone who has and has the slightest bit of intelligence knows it's not that bad
G2A is just a digital version of buying used games from a Gamestop or EB games
It isn't though. Gamestop or Eb games have a legal responsibility to make sure games aren't stolen. (because they are liable if they are) G2A has no responsibility. Gamestop has to keep records of the people who sell them products to produce a chain of ownership. G2A does not. Which is why its a grey market. You have no idea where the key came from or how it was acquired. Which is in turn the entire issue with the site.
Who is generating the keys and after that relase it to market? Hmm?
What's the difference between G2A and irl game resalers?
hey guys what is the game playing in the background the last minute and a halve of the vid, i need this info for ah educational research and development not trying to be pervy or anything! ; )
Wait, green man gaming is ok but not kinguin? Whats wrong with kinguin?
what about kinguin or one of those other sites?
Fortnight gives you free llama as rewards and also their microtransaction currency can be gained very easy in game with little grind
bruh i bought a minecraft java edition key but it didint give me the key... it said: Error, Please try again.
I usually gravitate to GOG first then Steam for my gaming needs really.
Now, with regards to today's video. This discussion was being done in a great, calm manner with a good amount of righteous indignation. Then the "In Summary...." segment pops up from Gaz
Standing Ovation Sir... Standing Ovation....
what about greenmangaming? are they the same as G2A?
GoG also has beautiful app icons and sell retro games optimized for newer PCs like Fallout 2 and Thief.
Theory: Game resellers like g2a only got so big because gaming got so damn expensive with all those microtransactions and the generally rising prices
