Keith is amazing! One of the very few newer country artists I'd go see in concert. He keeps country music real. Great voice, great guitarist and humble guy. 👍🏼

Priceless...we all have a past & if Keith Urban did not have a past, there would be no Keith Urban today. Way back how did we find Keith? Living on the beach of NC we drive 5 hours to the mountains each Fall & 5 hours back. My twin sons were in 6th grade. Armed with an Eagles CD, an unknown to me fella Kenny Chesney & another unknown guy, Keith Urban. The 3 CDs played constantly during our drive. I grew up on the Eagles, but had not heard of the other 2 artists. Unfortunately our 5 hour drive became a 7 hour drive as we drove through a tropical storm(not unusual for the NC Coast, but a bit late in hurricane season) making our 5 hour drive become a 7 hour drive to Valle Crusis, NC. At times we were at a stand still 30 minutes at a time. The CDs were jacked up. By the time our little trip heading home, I began to learn the lyrics to a few of the Chesney & Urban. Finally HOME! Turned on the Tube & fell backside onto my bed. I heard music from the t.v. but didn't look up. Hmm, heard a voice singing a song that sounded familiar. I raised only my head, stammering that's,that's that guy we've listened non-stop for 12 hours ! Urban was singing "Days Go By" . I sat up & could not believe THIS guy, THE guy with flowing hair, a golden voice & oh so talented guitarist ...was the fella I had now memorized most all words to his song on "that" album. Needless to say, I became the # ! Keith Urban Fan! This must have been around 2002, continuing to jam on tunes & waiting to "grow up". Salt water & tunes are in my top 5 passions. When suddenly Keith Urban music was made available to me. AGAIN, I AM THE ULTIMATE KEITH URBAN FAN, not only because of his good looks, kindness to others & oh so humble, but the mastering of any string instrument, electric, acoustic guitar as well as an electric banjo. There is no other musician who masters the electric guitar like Keith Urban. I believe his continued popularity is a testimony of just how good Keith's skills are. His fingers fly over the strings, changing chords so rapidly & making complementary sounds from the guitar, it was unbelievable & if one has a chance to sit up close & personal at an Urban concert, one will notice his fingers are not only picking & strumming quickly, but his right pinky finger is controlling "knobs" of his guitar. One can't notice it, he's just that fast & talented. Keith Urban is now his own GENRE, a man not afraid to convey, change or keep to his roots, as his passion for performing. Urban will go down in history as a legendary musical artist. Thank goodness those twin boys turned me on to Keith Urban...heading to Walnut Creek in NC to sit 3rd row enjoying Urban's new album Ripcord...great new songs. He'll run, leap, jump up & down & of course find a fan in the rear of the venue to sign & give an electric guitar. Speaking of the rows way back. Keith Urban is so thankful & loyal to his fans, mid concert he'll make his way to a stage in the rear of the venue, playing for those who cannot afford the "good seats", what other fella does that? None. Urban's high is giving his fans his all. Non stop playing & giving fans the microphone to sing each memorized word to each of his songs. How can one NOT have a wonderful time with such a caring, kind & big hearted man.

You do realise thats how you play guitar dont you? The knobs are volume and tone and the switch selects which pickup you are using. Most players are constantly fiddling with them.
I was with Glen Campbell on guitar for that 1997 show Kerri-Anne mentioned was coming in two weeks from Keith's interview. Trisha Yearwood was on that show with us. I was also with Glen in Nashville the first time Keith got to meet him and I remember how awed and humble Keith was when he asked "may I meet Mr. Campbell?"

I know that the right ear is connected to the left brain and it provides amplifications sounds like speech.... so I reversed my headphones, no biggie :) :)
