We weren't allowed to use the "Space Command 300" on our Zenith (which we inherited from our grandmother) when I was a kid; my mother said she was afraid we'd break it so it was supposed to remain on the little hanger Zenith made for it on the front of the set. Once, when my parents were out, my sister noticed them pulling into the driveway and quickly slammed the remote onto the hanger, where it shattered into a million pieces. My mother was angry at the time, but later admitted that she never cared what happened to the remote, she just didn't want to hear the sound of the channels changing all the time (the tuner had a loud motor to skip over the unused channels) and was just as happy to see it gone.
well 10 years went by and got this TV I have a few years ago so I can tell you: There's two remote controls for it, one for the volume and the other for the channels...In order for one of my controllers to be able to do everything on the TV I had to "activate" it I guess is the word to use. I had to look up on the internet how to do it and find the right thing...talk about going backwards with technology.

Seriously, 1,170 views and NOBODY has pointed that mistake out? Geesh.

21 jump street did not air in 1983 it was 1987.
Haha, now a TV then in 2003 would still be pretty old now, they had big skinnier tube TV's, but not 3D HD flat screens!
Ethan Swords and now, a 2012 TV seems pretty old, too. No 4K, no OLED, only the beggining of smart TVs
clickbait. history of tv? not hardly.
Who writes this tripe? This is on the level of a kindergartener.
Your opinion has been notated and discarded.
Really, this vid is clickbait. It's fluff. I guess TV has rotted the minds of the youth of amerika.
