Yeah, her company Honest Brand main focus is eco friendly, non toxic chemicals, cruelty free, and it being safe for children. Jessica really wanted her products to be natural in the best way and she did all of this while having her children in mind, because it was through her children when she started looking into ingredients for everyday house cleaning supplies and realized there was no clean safe products she can use without her children getting into it or affected by it with so much toxic chemicals. That was when Honest was born because she wants all the products she makes to be an "honest" one that everyone can trust and feel safe when they look and use her ingredients. Im a huge fan of hers, she is one of my female idols I look up to as a Latina female and a CEO of a brand company. She broke some barriers as a Latina female that alot of people dont give her credit for.
I have a lot of respect for her as a business woman period, let alone a minority business woman. But literally every substance on earth is made up of chemicals, some natural, some synthetic. It's a misconception that natural equals safe. Many natural chemicals are harmful and many synthetic chemicals are safe, and vice versa. I respect her good intentions with the brand, but this "clean", "all natural" trend is misguided.

I will always love the Honest brand. Before my son was potty trained, I would get the diapers/other products sent to me every month. I live in Florida, literally right on the coast, and I was here during Hurricane Michael. Without me even saying a word to the company, they sent me a bunch of free products and a card wishing safety for my family. I thought that was so nice of them, and I really don’t think any other company would think to do that for their customers. I also use her skin care products and cleaning products, and I’ve never been let down. The over night cream is amazing, the serum is amazing, and everything I’ve tried so far.

It may be biased and staged but if someone actually uses their own products I think that's a good sign, most just advertise their line as the miracle that keeps their skin amazing when they actually never use it.

Yes definitely we need review of kora organics im a little sceptical about the brand because second on the ingredients list is alcohol in moisturisers! I spent lots of money on that because i thought it is natural and organic so must be the best there is but after some time of using it my skin felt more dry than before so i thought maybe applying oil from kora organics will help but i started to get pimples! Im just wondering if that is natural and organic so what went wrong?
Malgorzata Ludwig natural and organic can still break you out just as bad as a terrible product. Some ingredients from kora can upset your skin, such as the essential oils. They are heavily oil based which is why I would never apply kora to my face. However I’ve used their body moisturizer and rosehip body oil and I have had no irritation.

SWprod. I art&prod studio my mother is almost 60 and looks much younger, same with my dad. I only just started wanting to take care of my skin when I hit 30. Genetics play a bigger part than most people know. Everyone assumes I took great care of my skin in my 20’s and I really didn’t lol. I used a physical exfoliant every day, never wore SPF and rarely moisturised. Have had disordered eating habits for years and my skin stayed the same.
She did a collab with Tati where she was saying how many chemicals are in skincare and makeup. She didn't want to expose herself or her daughter to all these chemicals. So she made her own brand called 'honest beauty' where it's quite literally that. Minimal chemicals and good effects. Glad I watched this to prove that you know she did exactly that ☺️🌿
The world is made up of chemicals. Oxygen is a chemical. The clean beauty industry makes the word “chemical” into a bad thing that needs to be feared so more people buy their products. I’m not suggesting Jessica did this with her own line, she may have been swept along with the crowd. Please don’t get swept into that crowd, it’s just fear-mongering for profit.
I could of worded it a bit better. Everything is made up of chemicals. However many products contain chemicals that could be harmful to us if ingested or used on the skin. It could also be the chemical itself is not toxic but once ingested, you could have an adverse reaction. 😊 There's lots of products on the market that contain chemicals that exactly very friendly to us. Cleaning products are a good example of that. I agree that 'clean beauty' is a fear mongering tactic though. I think people get to caught up in it sometimes.

I recently bought the hydrogel cream and I am OBSESSED! I swear it’s like a dupe for the tatcha water cream cause it does that thing where it liquified and feels like water when you rub it in. It somehow manages to feel light and super hydrating at the same time! 100% recommend
Bought 3 of them. My skin is very sensitive and this has helped so much. My face usually burns when I use products and this makes my skin feel soft but not oily and my redness went way down
@@nia-mya8734 I’m still using the gel to milk cleanser the vitamin c serum and the hydrogel lotion. I like all 3. My skin feels good and never reacts negatively to any of the products. I always have a red face and it’s calmed way down and my skin is softer. I would recommend using some kind of brush with the cleanser to get deep in the pores. I also used this Aztec clay mask a girlfriend of mine recommended. It’s excellent as well and for sensitive skin.

Hi Hyram! I bought the Magic Beauty Balm after seeing you talk about it here. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and OMG! I've started getting eczema on my eyelids, and have been for the last few months. I was planning on going to my dermatologist to get something prescribed for it once things opened back up (bc of Covid-19). I started using this balm on my eyelids and my eczema is GONE. My eyelids look perfect again. I'll still talk to my dermatologist about it so that she's in the loop on what's going on with my skin, but I'm amazed. I love the Honest Company. Yeh, sometimes they get all into the “natural” branding but I really like they try to be mindful and ethical in their products. Wish they made their diapers compostable but I still buy them over the other brands, and I love their beauty products. I’ve been very happy with them as a company.

In her book she does talk about the importance of sunscreen but I believe her own brand missed the mark with their sunscreen product which is why she probably didn’t promote it
Honest Beauty is AMAZING! I’ve been using the gentle gel cleanser since before I had my son - my skin is already sensitive + during pregnancy it was slightly more sensitive and the cleanser was/is wonderful. Their makeup is great too, I use the mascara and powder. Over all it’s truly an amazing brand that I can trust on myself and my son (I use the Honest company for him).

I bought Jessica’s moisturizing hydrogel cream after one of her videos in which she shared that was the one product she’d take with her to a deserted island. Then Hyram shared the ingredients are popping, and I felt so good about my choice!
I literally just bought her honestly pure retinol serum earlier today, I have the most sensitive skin and it’s one of the only decently priced retinols with a really good and short ingredient list 😊 so happy
nicole a versed has a retinol that’s really good too! For $22.
The cerave retinol is also really good! I paid around $14 at the drug store for it. Dr Dray highly recommends it

Yes definitely we need review of kora organics im a little sceptical about the brand because second on the ingredients list is alcohol in moisturisers! I spent lots of money on that because i thought it is natural and organic so must be the best there is but after some time of using it my skin felt more dry than before so i thought maybe applying oil from kora organics will help but i started to get pimples! Im just wondering if that is natural and organic so what went wrong?
Malgorzata Ludwig natural and organic can still break you out just as bad as a terrible product. Some ingredients from kora can upset your skin, such as the essential oils. They are heavily oil based which is why I would never apply kora to my face. However I’ve used their body moisturizer and rosehip body oil and I have had no irritation.

Our skin starts losing elasticity in our late 20’s. So at 39, she looks damn good.
SWprod. I art&prod studio my mother is almost 60 and looks much younger, same with my dad. I only just started wanting to take care of my skin when I hit 30. Genetics play a bigger part than most people know. Everyone assumes I took great care of my skin in my 20’s and I really didn’t lol. I used a physical exfoliant every day, never wore SPF and rarely moisturised. Have had disordered eating habits for years and my skin stayed the same.
She did a collab with Tati where she was saying how many chemicals are in skincare and makeup. She didn't want to expose herself or her daughter to all these chemicals. So she made her own brand called 'honest beauty' where it's quite literally that. Minimal chemicals and good effects.

The world is made up of chemicals. Oxygen is a chemical. The clean beauty industry makes the word “chemical” into a bad thing that needs to be feared so more people buy their products. I’m not suggesting Jessica did this with her own line, she may have been swept along with the crowd. Please don’t get swept into that crowd, it’s just fear-mongering for profit.

I could of worded it a bit better. Everything is made up of chemicals. However many products contain chemicals that could be harmful to us if ingested or used on the skin. It could also be the chemical itself is not toxic but once ingested, you could have an adverse reaction. 😊
There's lots of products on the market that contain chemicals that exactly very friendly to us. Cleaning products are a good example of that.
I agree that 'clean beauty' is a fear mongering tactic though. I think people get to caught up in it sometimes.

yeah Dr. Dray reviewed the line and absolutely destroyed it haha. Turns out almost everything there has fragrance in it or some other irritating stuff, not very safe for the skin.
I think that's a real business move to price them accordingly because she has a wider market than high-end products. I think she actually cares about her brand and it shows.

And I think the repetition you use to remind us / inform newcomers is great because its drilling the importance of good skin practice and I've noticed my habits changing. Also because I've been watching a while, these reaction videos have become my own version of watching sports. Thinking of when bella Thorne pulled out her handmade lemon sugar scrub and I made the nastiest grimace while shouting NOOOOO!!! Hahaha and then your reaction was great. Longgggggg unnecessary story short. Keep them coming!!! She used the Magic balm twice after washing it off the first time. Yea and if I was her I’d also use my own brand not to promote it but mainly because I would of created something that I can use as well as others.

I recently bought the hydrogel cream and I am OBSESSED! I swear it’s like a dupe for the tatcha water cream cause it does that thing where it liquified and feels like water when you rub it in. It somehow manages to feel light and super hydrating at the same time! 100% recommend

Bought 3 of them. My skin is very sensitive and this has helped so much. My face usually burns when I use products and this makes my skin feel soft but not oily and my redness went way down

@@nia-mya8734 I’m still using the gel to milk cleanser the vitamin c serum and the hydrogel lotion. I like all 3. My skin feels good and never reacts negatively to any of the products. I always have a red face and it’s calmed way down and my skin is softer. I would recommend using some kind of brush with the cleanser to get deep in the pores. I also used this Aztec clay mask a girlfriend of mine recommended. It’s excellent as well and for sensitive skin.

Hi Hyram! I bought the Magic Beauty Balm after seeing you talk about it here. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and OMG! I've started getting eczema on my eyelids, and have been for the last few months. I was planning on going to my dermatologist to get something prescribed for it once things opened back up (bc of Covid-19). I started using this balm on my eyelids and my eczema is GONE. My eyelids look perfect again. I'll still talk to my dermatologist about it so that she's in the loop on what's going on with my skin, but I'm amazed. I love the Honest Company. Yeh, sometimes they get all into the “natural” branding but I really like they try to be mindful and ethical in their products. Wish they made their diapers compostable but I still buy them over the other brands, and I love their beauty products. I’ve been very happy with them as a company.

Probably because she doesn’t have one in her brand. Her face is lighter than her body though so it looks like she does use spf.
In her book she does talk about the importance of sunscreen but I believe her own brand missed the mark with their sunscreen product which is why she probably didn’t promote it

Honest Beauty is AMAZING! I’ve been using the gentle gel cleanser since before I had my son - my skin is already sensitive + during pregnancy it was slightly more sensitive and the cleanser was/is wonderful. Their makeup is great too, I use the mascara and powder. Over all it’s truly an amazing brand that I can trust on myself and my son (I use the Honest company for him).
