@@smackbikeNZ Yes, I did, and I love it! Exactly the same model you got! Absolutely shocked to see that it's even easier and smoother than my old Ninja 650, I still can't believe it. Best bike I've ever ridden!
I'm a little surprised to see a 1000SX without the panniers. In 2017 I bought a Z1000SX with the touring pack. Figured the panniers would come in handy occasionally but, for the most part, would live in the garage. Nope, the second I realised the helmet fits in one side and the jacket in the other and I don't have to walk round carrying bike gear everywhere I go.....they haven't been off the bike since. Of course, as soon as I buy my '17 SX Kawasaki announce the '18 has cruise control but, like you, none of the paint jobs were attractive enough to me to warrant the change until this year. In May I picked up red and black 1000SX but I went for the full performance tourer pack. Aaaaand, of course, as soon as I buy mine Kawasaki announce next years model will have a 100cc bigger engine. It all depends on the paint job...
So the 1100 has 10 less hp I see... interesting. A little more torque tho, but only a little. But yeah, as soon as I bought it..... sigh I'm not a fan of the panniers.. lookswise.. (I also have a GS for that, and I used a soft soptbkx when I did my big tours in the Njnja last year which worked perfectly.
I have the exact same 2024 bike . Got 1200 km on it so far . Insanely light weight . I can't explain it either . How did Kawasaki do this lol !!! Rain second day I rode it also . It's amazing in the rain by the way .

Got the same 2024 bike and same color scheme this year also....owned 2018, both are fantastic machines. Paint surface though gets tiny scratches literally from everything (especially black tank) so very easy which is disappointing honestly. And dash screen is also is easily scratched from usual cleaning. Asked them to polish that and protect with the film screen. I assume they want riders to buy it. Why it's so prone to these tiny scratches unlike other bikes....
@@MackerethFamilyVideo they are not actual paint deep scratches, you can't feel them with finger skin. It's more like clear coat surface marks or "web" we call it. They are noticeable under some angles and good lighting. They tend to form quickly during normal not careless use. Maybe you don't see them, which is fine 👍. On black tank it's noticeable.
Props for riding in that weather, awful. You should definitely have stayed home and done the first ride in better (if not sunny weather). But enjoyable video;
I am also going from a 15 yr to a 24 yr (just purchased) will sell 15 next spring. Sweet Ride!

And I hear the same long start time (starter revolutions), same as mine does. This is a bit strange, older one started quicker like majority of bikes.

Summer is still ahead for me here, but will definitely report back if that's the case. It wasn't with the 2015 model

You are unlucky. I've had no scratches yet (fingers crossed). I do think I must get the screen protector tho!
