We’ve been in business since 1921. We make wood, and steel and fiberglass into components to holdup electric power lines.
We use our (Cat lift trucks) on a daily basis.We have about 14 of them. We have about 43 acres, and we have a lot of buildings.
A lot of the things we handle are very large, so having a real reliable material-handling fleet and material-handling operators is a pretty big deal for us.
Parts that are 100 pounds to things that weigh up to 4,000 pounds. I’m pulling them out of racks, pulling them off of concrete, going out there and pulling them off by the street. So, I’ve got to get in a lot of tight spots in a lot of different areas - and that’s all day long.
I have driven Toyotas, NAMCOs - I do prefer (Cat Lift Trucks) over all the other ones. I just like the way they handle, I think they turn better. They’re reliable; they’re easy to work on.
I can control everything without a whole lot of movement. I can see around me good, and it doesn’t shatter my spine like a lot of (other brands) do. A lot them are so rigid it hurts to hit bumps and we hit plenty of bumps here. I find it more comfortable.
You know, since we moved over to the (Cat lift trucks), we just haven’t had a problem with them.
I have probably one of the oldest (small IC pneumatic forklifts) here - still runs like a top. I don’t have no problems with it.
We do talk about it a lot amongst us forktruck (forklift) drivers - how mad we’re gonna be if they don’t stick with (Cat lift trucks) because we don’t want to drive them Hysters. If I’m gonna drive a forktruck, I want a (Cat lift truck).
I would recommend (Cat lift trucks). They’re reliable. They’re just a good all around truck (forklift).
I think it just gets better and better. You can kinda tell - My overall impression of (Cat lift trucks) as a company is that they’re investing back on the company, they’re progressive, they’ve got a great design, they’ve simplified things. I’d definitely recommend Cat forklifts to other people looking to buy a forklift.
