Really nice to see this job finished. A lot of skill wen't into that. Don't forget, if you get a chance, when you get a downpour, if you could show the J-ditch in operation. We don't have them over here in the UK. I'd really appreciate it.
As a plumbing contractor with 30 years experience it's always a pleasure and an honor to watch other skilled craftsmen ply their trade creating a beautiful masterpiece. Great job fellas!!!

@@WestCoastCustomConcrete : Any time my man! Is it ok if I text you? I would like to talk about concrete and business in general... Semper Fidelis Bruce.
Yeah you have to cut 12 to 15 inches of asphalt required by City code (depending) and another thing City sidewalk does not require Steele alot of people assume you have to put it.
@@TheWhale45 I know that. I was just sharing what I've seen having designed projects in municipalities throughout southern CA and now recently in North Texas.
I started using the wonder board for the sidewalk under drain years ago ,I tried every way to to fill the void but the wonder board is by far the best way
Idk how I went from looking at soccer highlights to pouring concrete lol but thank you youtube! Been watching your videos and you got yourself a new subscriber lol 😎😎
I am engineer and enjoy watching your work. Nice job on the under sidewalk scupper. 👍 That J ditch I wouldn't have called for concrete, used shotcrete instead, just because I don't know any contractors that would have even tried concrete. But you did an awesome job. 👍
I love seeing how other people do curbs/gutter, sidewalks and all that commercial concrete work. Good crew👍 I'm a cement mason here in San Diego. If I'm right that drain under the sidewalk is a D25? I cleaned one of those out the other day but it didn't have that board you had inside, it's 4 inches of compacted fill we later dig out.
Love watching y'all I do concrete in western PA and I'm always jealous of y'all. Not needing to dig out so deep and use so much stone amazing work guys
Thank you so much for the video and info. I am a DIYer and i would like to pour a new channel for my backyard rain water and a parking pad for my RV. I could not figure out how you achieve the U-shape in the channel. I never thought it was a piece of ply cut into a groove. You are appreciated. Peace and blessings to you
After watching a lot of these videos I can say that the finish quality looks nice. I haven't seen it in person but seeing that the crew is spending the time to steel trowel by hand shows that they care to do a quality job. Most crews for sidewalks would throw some accelerator in the mix to have it harden up fast, screed, bull float and Fresno , edge a little bit, broom it and leave. These guys are almost hard troweling which will give a much smoother overall sidewalk. You can also tell when crews want to be done with the job quick because they broom to early and leave course wavy broom marks and try and hide all their imperfections.
Nice job bro!! I am a truck owner operator it's a shame i can't offer my service to you in hauling concrete or dirt or anything i think your a cool dude.
All that time ago when you was pondering with the idea of a TH-cam channel, I bet you didn't think you would get 14000 views in two day. Good on ya guys keep up the good work.
This is Arnet out of Los Angeles, I wish I was younger, I would love to be on the team. You guys are real bad ass’s, as in really good. Can’t wait to see more work. When I get my money up I’m definitely calling you for my home.
It's nice watching other concrete guys , great job man . There's always going to be people saying" you should of ..." , Screw them , at the end of the day the one that's in the job site and doing the work is u. Like I said beautiful work keep it up. If it was easy everyone would do it .
Greetings from Vermont. Nice to see you work with inspector. And neighbors. Kudos for always saw cutting asphalt for clean butt joint. Definitely a 2 pour job. IDK maybe fiber reinforce concrete instead of rebar? Or curing compound to finish? Keep up the great work!
Even on a city job you kill it in the quality of your work. The smartest decision a city can make when it comes to concrete work is to hire you. It's going to be A+ work.
Do you guys use excavators in the states much? I always see you use a bobcat/pozi track but never an excavator. In Australia we use excavators mostly to hammer, box out, prep for concrete pads and retaining walls.
Hey any ideas for passing compaction tests in a place like Alberta? (Dry as fuck) haha it drys so fast we go to get a test and it fails for lack of moisture every time.
Great work! I can't figure out why you're mixes are so much creamier then mine. I use a blend of natural sand and manufactured sand. Straight natural sand cracks worse here in East Tennessee if I don't put manufactured sand in it.
"Masters of Liquid Rock" nice work. Kudos to the Team! Please get some folding saw horses for your men. Your crew does a lot of back breaking work all day moving and finishing concrete and watching them cut lumber on the ground or propped up on their foot bent over makes my back hurt. Just a suggestion. Peace!
It is a pleasure watching people who know what they are doing work.
👍
I want to see you do some work
"A lot of people are gonna pee on themselves that wanted to see me with a trowel in my hands" I almost spit out my drink, LMAO!!

I've seen cities use wire mesh reinforcement instead of steel. But rarely do I see an unreinforced public sidewalk.

Very nice work.
I’ve had some jurisdictions and cities require a 24 inch wide asphalt slot-patch. We always thought that was a bit excessive.

The US is everything there is... right?
Or atleast the only place where they got good stuff, Europe just doesn’t exist cause that would mean they aren’t the best and that can’t be true

I had a question. Would you prefer to use a wood bullfloat or mag ? And what are the benefits of using a wood one?
Depends how you concrete is at the moment !
@@JuanMorales-bz8el does one float do something the other doesnt?
Roman Peshkov yes wood floats are used to open concrete and let bleed water evaporate and the magnesium is used to seal concrete .
