He loved her for every ounce of his life, never looked at another woman after marriage, never mistreated her. Even if she was blemished, he would have accepted her. The epic marks the psychology of the society as a fate even for the King and Queen. The epic warned and taught us the meaning and pain of wrong doings. When people praise Raavan for not touching her, he was married. Thinking about another woman specifically somebody else's wife is a crime, but being married and giving pain to his own wife is a sin. If people praise him as god, the only reason will be of Ravan not touching Sita. Mind is more powerful than the body, love does not need this body to be alive. Ram proved that.
