The existence of the added cuts/sound effects are fine but at times they can be distracting. Perhaps reducing their overall volume or reducing the amount of them could help them mesh better with the video as a whole. Can’t remember where I heard this but I have to agree: “The best form of editing is when you can’t immediately tell its there.
