I had the glitch where my battle started but only i failed to enter, the match continued as if i was afk. I restarted and rejoined thinking my game was not counted and i was at my last Pokemon at Red bar. Smh
I guess your opponent got a third shield at 9:04. Hope Niantic fixes this glitch soon! This glitch has been in GBL for a couple of seasons and I have been on both sides of it. There is also an another bug where you get only 1 shield for the battle, and there is nothing you can do.

Looks like Go Battle league is a secret pokemon...it use fast charge move confusion to brandon..and its actually works pretty well...but keep it up brandon you always entertain us with all your content
I think I know what happened…..when Brandon charged the shadow ball…remember it lagged for sometime? Probably due to the lag..while he was charging his the shadow ball..the game became unresponsive “internally” he only charged the move visually which means that the move wasn’t actually charged. Well this is a possibility. Or maybe as some people are telling about the airplane mode glictch or something. Guess we will never know what really happened! But come on Niantic what are you even doing why aren’t you fixing these glitches!
That charge move glitch happened to me the other day too. I don't think it's haxorz but you never know. Really frustrating though. You would have won that match against the Talonflame and Galarian Ninetails...
You got the third shield bug Brandon, after so many battles that I've had I've encountered that bug quite often (also to my advantage as well). The way it works is basically when there's low connection at a specific time the game registers the charge move as dealt without the damage output (my connection is too shitty sometimes so that's why that has worked in my favor), but many people use Airplane Mode to force that to happen, it's been one of the oldest bugs in the GBL.
I've had the extra shield glitch happen to me except it ALWAYS happens on a switch. And a weird late switch that doesn't start until after the move has started to go through.
Hey Brandon. You know how it happened where your opponent suffered a 1 point damage w/o using a shield. That actually happened to me last week, but it happened to me in the reverse. That’s is, someone sent a charge move to me and I was out of shields but suffered virtually no damage. It happened after some lag, just as that happened to you.
This season of GBL has been the worst yet for Lag/Issues/Glitches. Two nights ago, I had the "third shield" happen twice. I've also had three matches crash at the beginning of the match, and I had to get back in. I've also noticed the Charge move buttons don't work all the time. It's so frustrating to love playing GBL so much, yet Niantic doesn't have the decency to fix any of the issues. I feel like the start of every season is Deja Vu because I keep saying "this is the worst it's ever been."
The shield thing happened to me today, except I was on the lucky end of it. I didn’t shield the opponent’s poison fang but ended up taking no damage from it anyway 🤷♂️

My longest streak in GBL is 16. Brandon’s is still 13. I am better than the worlds best PoGo player with streaks. Im only on lvl 38 almost 39. Nice Vid Brandon!
@ 10 minutes your shadowball hits for 1 damage non shielded! That happened to me yesterday! With 2 back to back moves and I should have easily got the win then it lagged on finally move for them to farm me down. I wanna say it’s because the lag. But it seemed more like hacking. They knew not to shield at that moment.
The battles were really good. Malamar is pretty tanky. But the cofrigrigus didn't do much work. May be you can use registeel to counter fairy in this team or yeah you could use a haunter or gengar in this team
From what i have seen, streamers are having hard time finding a good fit for malamar. So i am holding off until someone comes up with a good combination
I am a level 39 trainer and I have 4,850,000 exp. Just 150,000 exp needed to hit level 40 and beat the game halfway. And also looking forward to xls from level 41.
hi brandon today i played battle league and exactly the same bug happened to me i gave charge move and he didn't give a shield and i didn't do any damage according to me niantic should focus on different bugs on battle league and thank you for the content you are doing for us.
I had that 3 shield glitch happen to me literally today with Cofagrigus’ shadow ball too and it cost me a game I would’ve won if it had gone through or taken a shield like it should’ve. So buggy smh

Bruh one advice if use an abb team you must safe swap in neautral matchup and if you read they might have a charmer or you will get screwed up like bradan 🙂

when you were hitting the bubble of shadow ball at that time the game lagged so the attack effect was not counted neither a nice .. thats the reason behind it Brandon

I got that bug too. I shielded, got no animaton but 1 damage. Had two shields left.
I just love the idea of having to turn you device upside down to evolve Inkay. It's a small detail, but I think it's really cool.

10:40 yes it happens on a regular basis...the opponent actually shielded but due to the lag the game didn't remove a shield from the opponent
Man in that 2nd battle you got triple shielded.
It is a bug that causes the charged atk damage to not register. It is very annoying.

It just isn't good enough, most things in the game hit it for neutral damage, it isn't that bulky and a lot of its wins rely on hitting superpower.

The third shield glitch just shows how broken this game is, thats the reason I am playing for less than 20 mins a week.
So many games does my opponent block my charge without wasting a shield.. atleast 15 times to me since gbl started.

What I just realized is that if you look at inkay and you look at malamar inkays hat is malamars feet and inkays tentacles becomes malamars face
