Explore ancient Rome the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. You will enjoy a tour of the Colosseum, an oval amphitheater in the heart of the city of Rome used as the main point of entertainment. Afterwards you will continue to the Roman Forum, where you will visit the main square of ancient Rome and stroll through its streets, and finally to the Palatine Hill, to see the ruins of the houses that belonged to the most prestigious sectors, emperors and kings who lived there over the centuries.
The Colosseum is located close to 1 km southeast of Rome’s historic center and east of the well-known Roman Forum, a location you can easily reach via public transportation.
How to get to Colosseum
You can get to the Colosseum with public transport by taking the metro or by bus as well.
By Metro, you get on line B and get down on the stop “Colosseo”.
By bus, you can use lines 51, 75, 81, 85, 87 and 118
By Tram, you take line 3 and get down on the stop “Piazza del Colos
