Great footage. I feel the fact that the pillars were turned reveals to us the abilities the ancients had to scale things up. Either they were not healthy enough to keep numbers high or they were always rare people. I believe they were people though, not some alien or fallen angel hybrid etc. I wish the stupid darwinists would just let us know the truth.
That is amazing. No mortar, and those stones were PERFECTLY cut to fit one another. And they were able to hold that entire structure. And still stands today. Clearly high technology
We literally moved a rock of 1500 tons during the 1700s called the Thunder Stone. It was moved by manpower, rollers, and capstans. Later it was transported by barge up the Neva River to St. Petersburg. Moving the stone required 400 men and took nine months, during which time master stone-cutters continuously shaped the enormous granite monolith. You do not require advanced machinery to do this, you just need the right group of men who have the will power and the passion to do it.
Your point is well made. However, if the science is correct, this structure pre-dates the pyramids which means that it was constructed at a time before metal tools or even metal itself was discovered. They would not have had levers, pulleys or even the wheel at their disposal. The advanced technology of the 1700's would have been unknown to them. Not saying it couldn't be done, just that it would have been incredibly diffcult to do. And they didn't just do it once they did it dozens of times.
unfortunately sliding a rock a few miles along frozen flat ground is not the same challenge as lifting it up into the air. the largest single stone ever _lifted_ on record was ~400 tons and used modern machinery.
It's mind blowing how big they are. Lost technology? Giants? You can see the cataclysmic damage as well. I wish we can find out the answer of how it was possible. I also believe they are over 12,000 years old. Thank you so much Brian as always!
Exactly! Cause there were not "tools".. Most probably chemicals that dissolved the stones and then "glued" them together.. if you check this you will at least see how they created the stones for the pyramids: th-cam.com/video/znQk_yBHre4/w-d-xo.html
Something that often gets overlooked in these discussions is why they built with such huge stones. Most cultures around the world used much smaller stones because they were easier to make and transport. The only reason for using such colossal stones is that for them it wasn't that diffcult and they could manage it with only a little more effort than the smaller stones.
They had the means, motive and manpower to work big quarries and operations while having the idea to build grandios buildings for the gods and their kings. Realistically it wasn't of such a good use for daily life. We can do similar stuff with concrete and other geopolymers but have no reason to "waste" resources like that. They found some way to dissolve the stone with strength or chemicals and then harden and glue it back together where they wanted. For some stones like limestone it was already replicated. The chemical composition is the the secret..
Jens Hansen that walls are much older than 10.000. You measure things from the perspective of a 1,8m man in 2019. Imagine that there were times when avrege people had 4m. From theyr perspective is perfect fine to build big and it s much easyer because all the things you use are on a large scale. For example if you are 4m, you need a bigger car who was a bigger power etc.
@@focsavictor8941 Sorry, no, that's a logical fallacy. Churches and many other buildings are today build as if it's for giants too. I guess if a cataclysm hits us people in 1000 years will say the burj Khalifa was build by 500m tall people. No direct evidence at all of giants.
Jens Hansen there are alot of skelets remaining and alot of stories in different cultures around the globe from hindu to the bible. Search for giant skeleton in Bucegi(found in my country). Today with all technology we can lift a 1200 tones stone but we cannot move it long distances cause there are only two ultilages than can lift that weight, one in Usa and one in Uk and there are immobile. People did impresive things in the past and if we had only one site build at large scale it was not a problem, but we have around the world.
The same technique that built this site originally was also present at construction of the “temple of Bastet”. You can see it clearly on the granite column work with the lathe holes. Imagine a vertical lathe that could whittle granite! Impressive.
As the stones are Geo polymer they were poured into some type of form, maybe wooden. You see similar stuff when we pour silicone and similar into forms today.
At 4:05 look at the different angles of the gouging, or scraping marks from the stones next to each other, but then they may have cut them to fit later?

Their stonework is magnificent, but how they transported and placed them is mind boggling.
They dissolved/shredded the stone which enabled them to transport it from far away quarries to the places of construction. There it was poured into forms along chemicals to let it harden in place. This was replicated for limestone already: th-cam.com/video/znQk_yBHre4/w-d-xo.html . The secret is the chemical formula for some of the stones.

@@ericpilkington6298 Like in south America the smaller stones on top are most probably the most recent a.k.a inca and roman times.. They clearly didn't have the means and motivation to create the huge stones. If they had we would've reports about it. They probably brute force moved some stones around with "cranes". The ancient builders might've never broke a sweat beyond transporting some cups of dissolved stones pouring them in groups into the casts.
Initially, I was turned off by the "boring" presentation. However, I now realize the quality of the calm presentation. well done.
We love you Brian, Keep On Truckin!
If you pause it at 10:42 you can see right in the middle what looks like two large stones behind concrete. So does that means those 3 large megalithic stones arent really 3 large stones but just many small ones covered with concrete on the outside?
11:20 the walls look partially burried. how deep do they extend?
@mr frank :(
It’s crazy that nobody knows how this stuff was created , who did it , what happened to them etc. Humans know nothing about our history
Do you think if the ancients came into our time and looked at our bridges, sky scrapers, technology, industrial revolution, medical, advancements do you think they would be proud?

At 6:53 there’s a shot of a stone pillar with a mosaic pattern at its base, I’m assuming this is a repair and possibly made prior to the pillar being turned, what’s the bonding agent used in the repair and could this be dated?
Brien that's awesome!
Thanks for all you do and share with us.
Very solid base for whatever was above, tremendous! Thank you for sharing your journey 😊
Always amazing stuff!! Thanks Brien!! Cheers from Aus! ;D
Omg! What a masterpiece. Even on the video it speaks volumes. Thank you.
Such a great video and explanation, it´s the first time I´ve ever heard that there was another unknown civilization thousands of years before the Romans...and there is clear evidence of that, like all I wish this could be explained as soon as possible.
the very large stones: they are so rough and flaky in comparison to the columns. someone mentioned they might have been poored like concrete or geopolymer but if that were the case they should have degraded by now. has there been any tests done to find out their exact composition?
i think in lebanon, to take a sample is punishable by death
The blocks are limestone and the columns are granite which is way harder than the limestone, hence the flaking.
@@mgentleman1 that makes sense, thanks for the info. since the limestone is softer, is it safe to assume the blocks were once smooth and then estimate the age of the blocks from the rate that it flakes?
I wonder if any Roman writings about this place exists, describing what it looked like when they arrived.
Yep check the Vatican vault
If there is something like that, then It's either burned or closed away from public.
@@GuaranaMontana: Probably
Sureley you have seen the Pantheon in Rome, the same granite pillars, maybe bigger and the remains of the Diocletian baths. I visited a couple of years ago and couldn't believe the scale for 1 piece columns. I can't see how they could be so accurate done by hand, must have surely been done on some kind of lathe like you say.
Archeological sites in lebanon are older than the ones in Italy. I am not sure if it is the romanian ones or other historical civilizations.
We better begin building structures like these...
otherwise future generation won’t know we existed.
I think the same
We do that often enough with concrete structures which is not that dissimilar than this.
Plastic last forever compare to this megalithic structures
Dakota yep, plastic falls apart after a few hundred years. Now, cut a natural formation of granite and the tool marks tell a story of intelligent beings.

What was the square holes at time marker 4:57 used for ? Drainage ? I had subscribed to your channel once before ! But some how it was deleted from my listings of channels ! Not sure why a lot of my channels that I use to watch had been deleted !
All I can say is “Wow!” Next time you get back it would be nice to take drone footage to get an overview of the area. Thanks so much for sharing this. I am truly amazed.
Modern man's contribution to history will be seas of plastic.
Not l dont think so. In thousands and thousands of years steel, concrete and plastic will be all gone. The men of the future will still be watching just megalithic stones, the real time machines.
What pisses me off is mount rushmore. They will think we must have worshiped those people.

It's written that after the flood, the original landing pad in Eridu was destroyed, so a new one was built on Mt Lebanon.
muy bueno Brien ,impresionante las juntas de las rocas, Baalbeck es mas antiguo que las pirámides o no ..??
Best footage of one of my favourite places.
are those same holes @ 4:38 used for a lathe as well ?
What is behind the metal doors or iron bars at time marker 7:32 ? I know that I'm asking a lot of questions ! But I love learning about the past ! At one time when I was young I wanted to be an Archaeologist ! Now I'm 64 and haven't done much Archaeology stuff !
It was the Annunaki's spaceport. Magnificent in its day but destroyed by the great deluge, and partially reconstructed afterwards.
ruined me for walls for the rest of my life on that one. im thankfull that you showed us the remains tho. hope we learn someday.
It's amazing to see these creations! What are the small holes dotted randomly along the sides of the 800 tonne megalithic stones? Were they to help move them or for something else?
Incredible!
Thank you for the upload.
I've been fascinated with Baalbek since I read about the megalithic stones in the 70's.
What type of material would the chuck have to be locking into the granite pilar and how big would that machine be, and what happened to all those machines?
Another mind expanding watch at 6 AM with my coffee,,Had to jump in and out to walk the dog and laundry though..The multiple Lathe mounts I was wondering if we've seen that before?
Did they have bearings? How did a lathe shaft rotate with such huge weight attached? And what powered the machine? is it possible for a lathe to still exist?
Fantastic, thank you. Do you ever get sick of travelling??
Amazing Brien! I have turned metal on the lathe and being a cabinetmaker for many years I've turned countless pieces of wood. But these mega huge granite columns are mind blowing. Actually I have turned some small stones on the lathe but soft stone. The size of columns and stones is breath taking to say the least. I wonder if we have any type of lathe today that could handle a huge stone as these. High tech, no question here! Thank You Most Kindly Brien! Love, Light and Peace to You and you Family! Logic would dictate that in pre-gunpowder ages giants would have been dominant fighters compared to us small little men, especially during the stone and bronze ages.

So Brian you are saying that the columns and megalits outside of the temple of Bacchus are also Pre cataclysm?
Thanks for your effort to educate the masses!!
Do any of the megalithic structures you’ve seen appear to be fortresses? I can’t imagine stones that big used and not one for fortifications.
I agree, it’s very curious why the larger blocks sit atop smaller ones.
Fitzgerald earthquake control?
Mr05chuck then wouldn’t it stand to reason to have the heaviest blocks in the bottom? To avoid being top heavy?
What are the square holes in the huge blocks for?????

@Cristopher Reeves lol ya ok
KJD. Thunderstone? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, or at least cite your sources. And no, not Pokemon.
And they didn't just do it once they did it dozens of times.
tom Morrissey. Google thunderstone, Russia. All I see is pretend Pokemon thunderstones.
unfortunately sliding a rock a few miles along frozen flat ground is not the same challenge as lifting it up into the air. the largest single stone ever _lifted_ on record was ~400 tons and used modern machinery.
It's mind blowing how big they are. Lost technology? Giants? You can see the cataclysmic damage as well. I wish we can find out the answer of how it was possible. I also believe they are over 12,000 years old. Thank you so much Brian as always!
Always amazing footage. Thanks for sharing!
I wonder why the equipment/ tools used to preform such unbelievable work have never been found. Never have been recorded by people of that time ...
It's most likely erroded by now since it was probably built 12,000 years ago, the only thing that would survive would be the stone.
Exactly! Cause there were not "tools".. Most probably chemicals that dissolved the stones and then "glued" them together.. if you check this you will at least see how they created the stones for the pyramids: th-cam.com/video/znQk_yBHre4/w-d-xo.html
@@mariolongtin8271 If it was built by tools the tools must've been at least as strong as the stones and some would've survived.

Awesome, thank u so much Brien. My dream is to be able to join u soon on one of your trips so I hope next year will be there year.
Why are the chuck holes on the column irregular? Perhaps they weren't lathed. Perhaps they were injection molded.
Jens Hansen the burj Khalifa has the entrence(doors) for people like us. Check Petra and see what feeling gives you.
Is there any sign of extreme heat on top of the platform?
The same technique that built this site originally was also present at construction of the “temple of Bastet”. You can see it clearly on the granite column work with the lathe holes. Imagine a vertical lathe that could whittle granite! Impressive.
Great camera work .
Brien do you have any info
How deep is the foundation from the ground level to support the trilithon stones.

Great perspective 👏👍👍👍👍👍who was there in the (first time).?
I wish that you would show what is inside that hole in the wall near the end of the video !
They seem to be lots of square holes in many of the larger stones . Any ideas what they are for ?
As the stones are Geo polymer they were poured into some type of form, maybe wooden. You see similar stuff when we pour silicone and similar into forms today.
The holes seem to be off center of the diameter, for when turned?. Is this an camera angle distortion?
At 4:05 look at the different angles of the gouging, or scraping marks from the stones next to each other, but then they may have cut them to fit later?
5:42 they seem to be cut straight, level for a huge length, from the same huge stone block.
