Well, their points, assists, steals and blocks numbers on a per game basis are pretty similar. They're also both undersized PFs, both listed at 6'6", and both very athletic and powerful. Zion can jump even higher and run faster since he's shredded, but Barkley was far more skilled and a much better rebounder and passer.

  • @anagram8

Coming from the era of the 70's, he reminded me of undersized center the late, great Wes Unseld in terms of how dominate he was at his size. Wes Unseld was a 6'7" center and was as tough as they come. He played against the legendary Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Lanier, Jack Sikma, Bill Walton and of course Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for starters. Charles Barkley was dominate like that, check out his pass at the pass he whips at 8:40. That pass is ridiculous, full speed, moving away from the play, hitting a target moving toward the basket and hit him perfectly in stride. Even crazier is his teammate was expecting the pass from that far away.

Barkley's efficiency is underrated even at ~54%. Reason being is that he liked to shoot 3s every now and then, but wasn't really good from the arc. So technically speaking, his efficiency is better than one would think. I was a 5'8, thicker dude, playing a 4 position in high school and averaged 8 boards a game, and when I got going on offence, no one ever stepped in to take a charge against me. I even developed a decent shot once I saw him go to Phoenix and hit threes.

I did not like Charles at all. Honestly, I think he would average something like 37 pts 20 rbs and 8 assists. He played in an era full of hall of fame bigs, yet they still had to double team him most of the time. He is simply too physical too dominant for the power forwards of today, also too quick, too fast, too skill for the centers. Today's game is set up for him to dominate. They wouldn't be able to keep him off the glass. He can drop 20pts just on put backs alone.

So MJ 6'4 then. Because They stood Eye to Eye.

6'4 is still tall. With good hops you can dunk easily at that height. You don't need to be that tall to be effective. Who cares if he was 6'4 6'5 whatever. He dominated.

He had like a 7’ 3” wingspan or something like that. That’s helps tremendously along with his off the charts athleticism.

Its relevant because he averaged more rebounds than many 7 feet centers. And especially in the offensive end. there s never been a better offensive rebounder, except maybe his master Moses Malone.

6'4" is decent size for a PG but either average or quite a bit below average for SG to PF.
