The Xbox 360 is definitely the hottest console to collect for right now. I'm glad I'm almost done with my Xbox 360 collecting this year. The marketplace closing down is driving people into panic mode in buying up games. I recommend not forgetting about the dlc for these games everyone is buying. Once the store is gone, all of the dlc and digital only Xbox live arcade games will be gone forever. Yes some of these huge gaming TH-camrs are also driving FOMO with their Xbox 360 videos. I've seen resellers buying up every copy of random games and reselling them for 3 to 6 times what they bought them for. The best bet is to wait until next year to buy some of these games once the hype slows down. I recommend getting the Mafia 2 platinum hits version that comes with the DLC on the second disc, similar to the Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition. Keep up the great work on the channel my friend.
Once I tie up some loose ends on 360 I’m going to be taking a nice long break from game collecting. And yes!!! 100% people should not forget that DLC is also going along with it which is a true shame. I’m going to make sure to buy up whatever DLC I’m missing for my favorites or see if there is a definitive version that has it all on disc. I know some popular TH-camrs that bring it up these games and driving up the prices isn’t their intention because it affects them too. Having loved Mass Effect I have a feeling I’d really enjoy Dragons Age and all the DLC. I even picked up Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition, were those any good? Damnation feels low budget, could’ve used another year of polish kind of game but I’m also a sucker for 5 out of 10 games. 😅

Good information here. I never had a 360 ever since mine got the rrod back in the day. My PS3 still works but the disc drive broke. might have to get it fixed eventually.

Try & find the "Mafia 2 GOTY Edition", which comes with all the expansions & DLC add-ons bud! "Flatout Ultimate Carnage" is a remaster of "Flatout 2" on the original Xbox. It is one of my Top 5 favorite arcade racers ever made, very addictive racing!

This recent influx of "Xbox 360 game prices going up" fear-mongering uploads on TH-cam due to the upcoming Marketplace shut down is getting utterly pathetic and are a disgrace for the gaming community. It's mostly dishonest resellers who aren’t gamers trying to artificially inflate prices with obvious fomo tactics to get rid of a bunch of Xbox 360 games for a lot more than what they originally payed for.
Pretty much the same people who started buying up all the copies of games like Spec Ops The Line when that got delisted and were selling them for like $150. Not exactly the same situation but you get what I mean.
@@ScorpioCesarcade The one mistake I keep seeing made by some TH-camrs is base their high prices solely on eBay or Amazon asking prices, not what they're sold for. I like that you mentioned another source. For example, for years I kept hearing that Spider-Man: Edge of Time was ultra expensive, but I recently bought it CIB in great shape for $30 at my local game store, so the reality is that it's still possible to find good deals and these inflated X360 prices will eventually go down once this fomo/hype is gone after the store shuts down. We saw that happening before when Sony announced their shutdown for the PS3 store but backed out.
The writing was on the wall as this has happened to other consoles before and will happen to the PS3 at some point. Possibly down the line after the buyer panic subsides prices may drop for some games. Great video.

I finished my 360 collection about 4 years ago, dirt cheap. about 370 games. Made sure i have every tittle i like. Some are even still sealed. Been working on my PS3 collection mostly the past year. still at great prices. I suspect the PS3 will blowup soon enough... so i'm on it!
You could’ve stopped at 360 games for your 360 collection. 😄 Sounds like an amazing collection! PS3 prices stabilized once Sony backtracked but I fear once they announce its closure (for real this time) the prices will see a similar trend. Now’s the time!
PS3 games had a huge jump after covid, but have since stabilized. It was weird to see PS3 games going for so much but 360 games staying low. Not anymore! I managed to complete my 360 collection in 2019 so I also lucked out, but I didn't decide to go for more PS3 games until I was done with Xbox so I did miss out on a few that are now more than I'm willing to pay. I can see them going up again though.
I remember the hype for Too Human. It was supposed to be this amazing 4 player co-op adventure, that almost 1 month before launch got delayed and I think it's just 2 player co-op.
It definitely was over hyped, I remember when Game Informer dedicated an entire magazine to cover the game. Everything looked so promising and then, well lol

Flat out Carnage is 10 bucks here in Europe. But then we have games that are rare that are cheap in the US. It’s crazy how some games shoot up in price. I remember Persona 3 on PS2 being available for 10 bucks for years new and not a single copy was sold. Now people are selling it for like 200 bucks. I’m not into buying games to sell them though. I don’t really care if a game is worth 1 dollar or 100 dollars. If I had a game worth 1000 then sure I’d probably sell it but the higher end you go the worse the selling experience is. When I sold a few rare PS1 games people wanted 100 photos of the discs and essays of descriptions over every microscopic imperfection even if the discs looked like new to me. Not worth the trouble.
The reselling business doesn’t seem like a fun one. I have a few friends who sell games on Instagram that are genuinely good people who do it for the love of the hobby. I’m generally not too picky with buying but water/humidity damaged cover arts and manuals are my biggest pet peeve. Insane how you can see a game for like $5 one day and it’s $150 many years later, especially the crap games. 😵💫
Probably a game that isn't talked about and is fairly uncommon is Quantum Theory. I just managed to snag a copy myself the other day. It's the only shooter I've seen Koei Tecmo make and it looks fun. I'm looking forward to playing it.

Don’t just buy random games. Collect what you’ll actually play. Don’t buy overpriced games that released on multiple consoles you’re just making your self look dumb.
Years ago I would just buy random games. That's how I ended up with all of these games cheap. I'm quite happy with my collection. Now I just need time to play them all....that's a good point, lol.
I just happened to acquire a free 360 game just yesterday. I discovered it in an abandoned home we were demolishing. It's called Fracture. I'd never heard of it, but the cover art is nice
I think just like the 3DS store closing, this will be a buy the hype, sell the news event. Prices will come back down again. Some 3DS games are down 40-50% from the highs around the hype period. My advice is be patient and play what you have. Especially if you have been sitting in a large collection of 360 games already. Honestly most of the best games haven’t really gone up in price and are less than $10-20 still.
Oh no doubt in my mind games will stabilize at some point. None of these were ludicrously expensive anyways. The only one that I don’t see dropping anytime soon is Ninja Blade considering it’s a From Software game.
Managed to get Asura’s Wrath on 360 for $40 on eBay the other day. Be patient and don’t spend anywhere near $90. Search eBay daily with newly listed and lowest price+shipping filters and you’ll get it!
Yeah it’s nuts how high the prices are getting I seen operation darkness for 360 shoot up to 200 and some people having them for 350 I’m like what luckily I traded a guy in my local area 2 Xbox one controllers that I found at the thrift for a CIB copy
The US is so different. All those games cost virtually nothing in the UK. Most valuable 360 games I have are Need for Speed Most Wanted, Fallout New Vegas Ultimate and Silent Hill HD collection which have been pricey for a while
I've noticed that as well. Games are dirt cheap there compared to here. Good for people who just want to play their games. I've also noticed the few times I've imported PAL games (On PS3 since it's region free) they are almost always new and sealed.

Ive found so many hot titles at pawn shops and found a nice lot on marketplace that the seller had priced 2 months prior to the 360 price boom. Got culdcept saga for 39 and operation darkness for 75

Well, I'm glad I bought everything I wanted for the Xbox 360 prior to all the price increases and really didn't spend that much on it all within the past few years. Only had about 10 games prior to that. I'd advise people to make up their own minds, make a list of what they want. That way they are not wasting money on useless games that they will never play. Most of these recommended games I've seen in a lot of these videos I wouldn't waste a dime on.
Yeah, I totally get you on that. Thankfully my 360 collection is already pretty solid but I still have so many loose ends I want to resolve. Making a list is the key you’re right, and I tend to agree that most games on these recommended lists don’t appeal to everyone.
Oh I definitely recommend that you do! The 360 may seem like a crazy venture even now but I assure you a ton of games out there aren’t expensive at all.
I started seriously collecting Gen 7 in 2018 when PS3 prices were much higher the 360 prices. Luckily I only missed out on two heavy hitters before 360 fomo struck, Infernal and Zoids. I sniped infernal for under 70 and am now working on finding zoids under 60

Can’t stress enough how much I love backwards compatibility on the One X/Series X. The elimination of screen tearing is another big bonus in my opinion.
Perfect example: Crash Time autobahn: been looking for a copy at a reasonable price recently. it was about $30, which I think was a bit high for that game already. past 2 weeks it ballooned to $100+!!!! WTF?! not that important to me for that price. I have a couple others im looking for, mostly racing games, so hopefully the same doesnt happen to those others.
Legit never heard anyone talk about that game until those popular TH-camrs brought it up. I highly doubt it’s worth anywhere near that. Same with Fatal Inertia. You want great racers on 360, try Flatout, Full Auto, PGR4, Blur, Ridge Racer 6 to name a few.
Once had a modded an Xbox 360 but ended up getting banned. 😂 That was back then when it was still early into the consoles life cycle though. I may have to consider modding one of mine with Aurora someday!

X360 is my favorite all time console. I did grown found of PS3 in the last 3 years since it's collection surpased the Xbox one but PS3 controller sucks at FPS and racing games, when it comes to controller there is no comparison.
I only ever preferred my PS3 for exclusives and fighting games. I could never enjoy a fighter on the 360 but I agree, for FPS and Racing games the 360 controller felt best in my opinion.
Every time I used Facebook marketplace I’ve never had a good experience. People are just unwilling to respond or ship anything. Seems like it works best for local pickups though.
The PS3 had its moment with the FOMO panic when Sony announced the store closure. It wasn’t long before Sony saw the backlash and changed their mind so that’s why things have calmed down on that front. Wait till they really mean it. 😨

@@Bird-Birdy-Love Yeah some of the PS3 games that shot up haven't come down to earth. I only had one Armored Core game before it's FOMO and they haven't settled. Tornado Outbreak is another I was looking at that hasn't come down much. While some games have come down, like 3D dot heroes, they are still quite a bit more than they were before.

Thing is ...pretty much the ps3 and xbox 360 are the last consoles that are really collectable for... since they were the last gen to have the whole game on the disk... without internet all the consoles after (appart from switch and handhelds) will be useless. I collect exclusively PlayStation and Nintendo disc consoles like Wii and GameCube but I hope you Xbox fan boys can snag some games before they really shoot up in price. Try your local GameStop and thrift stores, I see 360 games all the time. Don’t buy them from eBay resellers

Some dropped a bit, but some are still quite expensive. If anyone thinks the 360 games will drop to what they were before, not likely. Will they drop? Of course, but not to the dirt cheap priices they were. I actually think this gen (Ps3/360) has to most long term potential as far as holding value.
DO NOT BUY 360 GAMES NOW. These games will all drop back down in 1-2 months same as the PS3 games when they shut down their digital store. 360 games were produced in an insane abundance the sheer amount of copies out there will not meet the demand and eventually they’ll all flood back into the market when this ridiculous hype dies down.
While that is a possibility, the difference here is that Microsoft isn’t coming out and saying they’re changing their mind like Sony did. Granted I have no doubt games prices will somewhat drop once all the FOMO buyers get what they want but it’ll never be as cheap as it was I think.

It's a good thing that I still have a copy of FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. I was so lucky to have the best FlatOut game in the franchise.

Everyone is going for those 360 games now, but I'm gonna try to wrap up my PS3 collection of games I want since they're still on the cheaper end thankfully! Hey Marcello! I get that it may not be their intention when they talk about certain games but it’s just a side effect since they have more eyes on them. More eyes mean their words have more weight. Yeah man, the badabing rap is legendary amongst my YT friends. Now I'm just getting a few more I was interested in back in the day that I skipped at the time (and luckily still quite cheap). Wet though...even the PS3 version is going up in price.

There are still outliers where the PS3 version would fetch a higher price than the 360 version but I don't see that lasting.
Glad you picked up Wet! It’s a super rad game and you’re right it was a lot more expensive on the PS3 for awhile but with the boom in 360 games it’s shot up. Dragon Age Origins is one of my favorite games of all time so I love to see this sick collectors edition. Lol Damnation is one I snagged a long time ago but I know how bad it is. Good information here. I never had a 360 ever since mine got the rrod back in the day. My PS3 still works but the disc drive broke. might have to get it fixed eventually.

This recent influx of "Xbox 360 game prices going up" fear-mongering uploads on TH-cam due to the upcoming Marketplace shut down is getting utterly pathetic and are a disgrace for the gaming community. It's mostly dishonest resellers who aren’t gamers trying to artificially inflate prices with obvious fomo tactics to get rid of a bunch of Xbox 360 games for a lot more than what they originally payed for.
Pretty much the same people who started buying up all the copies of games like Spec Ops The Line when that got delisted and were selling them for like $150. Not exactly the same situation but you get what I mean.
@@ScorpioCesarcade The one mistake I keep seeing made by some TH-camrs is base their high prices solely on eBay or Amazon asking prices, not what they're sold for. I like that you mentioned another source. For example, for years I kept hearing that Spider-Man: Edge of Time was ultra expensive, but I recently bought it CIB in great shape for $30 at my local game store, so the reality is that it's still possible to find good deals and these inflated X360 prices will eventually go down once this fomo/hype is gone after the store shuts down. We saw that happening before when Sony announced their shutdown for the PS3 store but backed out.
The writing was on the wall as this has happened to other consoles before and will happen to the PS3 at some point. Possibly down the line after the buyer panic subsides prices may drop for some games. Great video.

I finished my 360 collection about 4 years ago, dirt cheap. about 370 games. Made sure i have every tittle i like. Some are even still sealed.
Been working on my PS3 collection mostly the past year. still at great prices. I suspect the PS3 will blowup soon enough... so i'm on it!

Sounds like an amazing collection! PS3 prices stabilized once Sony backtracked but I fear once they announce its closure (for real this time) the prices will see a similar trend. Now’s the time!
PS3 games had a huge jump after covid, but have since stabilized. It was weird to see PS3 games going for so much but 360 games staying low. Not anymore! I managed to complete my 360 collection in 2019 so I also lucked out, but I didn't decide to go for more PS3 games until I was done with Xbox so I did miss out on a few that are now more than I'm willing to pay. I can see them going up again though.
I remember the hype for Too Human. It was supposed to be this amazing 4 player co-op adventure, that almost 1 month before launch got delayed and I think it's just 2 player co-op.
It definitely was over hyped, I remember when Game Informer dedicated an entire magazine to cover the game. Everything looked so promising and then, well lol

Flat out Carnage is 10 bucks here in Europe. But then we have games that are rare that are cheap in the US. It’s crazy how some games shoot up in price. I remember Persona 3 on PS2 being available for 10 bucks for years new and not a single copy was sold. Now people are selling it for like 200 bucks. I’m not into buying games to sell them though. I don’t really care if a game is worth 1 dollar or 100 dollars. If I had a game worth 1000 then sure I’d probably sell it but the higher end you go the worse the selling experience is. When I sold a few rare PS1 games people wanted 100 photos of the discs and essays of descriptions over every microscopic imperfection even if the discs looked like new to me. Not worth the trouble.
The reselling business doesn’t seem like a fun one. I have a few friends who sell games on Instagram that are genuinely good people who do it for the love of the hobby. I’m generally not too picky with buying but water/humidity damaged cover arts and manuals are my biggest pet peeve.

Probably a game that isn't talked about and is fairly uncommon is Quantum Theory. I just managed to snag a copy myself the other day. It's the only shooter I've seen Koei Tecmo make and it looks fun. I'm looking forward to playing it.

I just happened to acquire a free 360 game just yesterday. I discovered it in an abandoned home we were demolishing. It's called Fracture. I'd never heard of it, but the cover art is nice
Hell yeah! I picked it up last year, one of those third person shooters that people forgot about. I love how you can deform the terrain in it.
I think just like the 3DS store closing, this will be a buy the hype, sell the news event. Prices will come back down again. Some 3DS games are down 40-50% from the highs around the hype period. My advice is be patient and play what you have. Especially if you have been sitting in a large collection of 360 games already. Honestly most of the best games haven’t really gone up in price and are less than $10-20 still.
Oh no doubt in my mind games will stabilize at some point. None of these were ludicrously expensive anyways. The only one that I don’t see dropping anytime soon is Ninja Blade considering it’s a From Software game.

Managed to get Asura’s Wrath on 360 for $40 on eBay the other day. Be patient and don’t spend anywhere near $90. Search eBay daily with newly listed and lowest price+shipping filters and you’ll get it!

Yeah it’s nuts how high the prices are getting I seen operation darkness for 360 shoot up to 200 and some people having them for 350 I’m like what luckily I traded a guy in my local area 2 Xbox one controllers that I found at the thrift for a CIB copy

The US is so different. All those games cost virtually nothing in the UK. Most valuable 360 games I have are Need for Speed Most Wanted, Fallout New Vegas Ultimate and Silent Hill HD collection which have been pricey for a while
I think collectors in the UK are certainly more relaxed than we are. Need for Speed Most Wanted is so good.
I've noticed that as well. Games are dirt cheap there compared to here. Good for people who just want to play their games. I've also noticed the few times I've imported PAL games (On PS3 since it's region free) they are almost always new and sealed.

Well, I'm glad I bought everything I wanted for the Xbox 360 prior to all the price increases and really didn't spend that much on it all within the past few years. Only had about 10 games prior to that. I'd advise people to make up their own minds, make a list of what they want. That way they are not wasting money on useless games that they will never play. Most of these recommended games I've seen in a lot of these videos I wouldn't waste a dime on.
Yeah, I totally get you on that. Thankfully my 360 collection is already pretty solid but I still have so many loose ends I want to resolve. Making a list is the key you’re right, and I tend to agree that most games on these recommended lists don’t appeal to everyone.

I started seriously collecting Gen 7 in 2018 when PS3 prices were much higher the 360 prices. Luckily I only missed out on two heavy hitters before 360 fomo struck, Infernal and Zoids. I sniped infernal for under 70 and am now working on finding zoids under 60
Funny how I never heard of Infernal until til recently, is that game any good?

Can’t stress enough how much I love backwards compatibility on the One X/Series X. The elimination of screen tearing is another big bonus in my opinion.
Perfect example: Crash Time autobahn: been looking for a copy at a reasonable price recently. it was about $30, which I think was a bit high for that game already. past 2 weeks it ballooned to $100+!!!! WTF?! not that important to me for that price. I have a couple others im looking for, mostly racing games, so hopefully the same doesnt happen to those others.
Legit never heard anyone talk about that game until those popular TH-camrs brought it up. I highly doubt it’s worth anywhere near that. Same with Fatal Inertia. You want great racers on 360, try Flatout, Full Auto, PGR4, Blur, Ridge Racer 6 to name a few.

X360 is my favorite all time console. I did grown found of PS3 in the last 3 years since it's collection surpased the Xbox one but PS3 controller sucks at FPS and racing games, when it comes to controller there is no comparison.
I only ever preferred my PS3 for exclusives and fighting games. I could never enjoy a fighter on the 360 but I agree, for FPS and Racing games the 360 controller felt best in my opinion.
May I suggest hacking or buying a hacked S model? It is pretty easy.
Once the store closes I’ll most likely look into that.

Every time I used Facebook marketplace I’ve never had a good experience. People are just unwilling to respond or ship anything. Seems like it works best for local pickups though.

It varies on a game to game basis, some games have since had their servers shut down like a lot of the Ubisoft ones and the EA sports games.
I wonder why 360 has had more Fomo than ps3 so far, altough i expect we will get a big fomo for it when the psn will finally shutdown for it.
The PS3 had its moment with the FOMO panic when Sony announced the store closure. It wasn’t long before Sony saw the backlash and changed their mind so that’s why things have calmed down on that front. Wait till they really mean it. 😨

Tornado Outbreak is another I was looking at that hasn't come down much. While some games have come down, like 3D dot heroes, they are still quite a bit more than they were before.

Thing is ...pretty much the ps3 and xbox 360 are the last consoles that are really collectable for... since they were the last gen to have the whole game on the disk... without internet all the consoles after (appart from switch and handhelds) will be useless.

Some dropped a bit, but some are still quite expensive. If anyone thinks the 360 games will drop to what they were before, not likely. Will they drop? Of course, but not to the dirt cheap priices they were. I actually think this gen (Ps3/360) has to most long term potential as far as holding value.
DO NOT BUY 360 GAMES NOW. These games will all drop back down in 1-2 months same as the PS3 games when they shut down their digital store. 360 games were produced in an insane abundance the sheer amount of copies out there will not meet the demand and eventually they’ll all flood back into the market when this ridiculous hype dies down.
While that is a possibility, the difference here is that Microsoft isn’t coming out and saying they’re changing their mind like Sony did. Granted I have no doubt games prices will somewhat drop once all the FOMO buyers get what they want but it’ll never be as cheap as it was I think.
