I first went to Sitges 60 years ago, I was 5. I returned 3 times as a child, once as a teenager, twice in my 30's and soon to be visiting again next year aged 66. my family visited the bar that stated it was the oldest bar in Sitges. We had ham, egg, and chips. There were probably other things on the menu but it was my parents' budget and that is what we had to have. We rented an ' appartment' on the road this video ended on, headed up from the beach. i saw it briefly in the video. Back story. We lived in a small vilage in Gloucestershire, and a lady in the village had a daughter in law who owned an 'apartment' in Sitges. Somehow , before any technology, my parents ( I was 5, sis was 7) had booked it for 10 days. In1965 my parents drove us kids all the way down to north Spain, it took just over 2 days. We arrived at night and woke up to Playa san sebastian. Very different then tho, the road was sand and gravel, and there were bars, more like cafes, and no spilling out onto the road.. it was my first foreighn beach holiday and was a bench mark for me. Nothing has matched up to it since. I was so lucky that Sitges was my first intro to med holidays. I was about 9 yrs old and I would go up into town at night and wander round the shops and streets, and walk along the prom on the other beach where there were so many artists ( I'm an amateur artist now), I was 9 yrs old, and on my OWN. It was such a safe town, and I believe it still is

It sounds like it had a true impact on you, I'm glad that you'll be visiting again next year, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. How nice that you were able to spot the apartment you stayed in too. That must have been quite a trip In1965 driving all the way down to north Spain, what an adventure, it certainly sounds like nothing has matched that trip since. I hope you have a wonderful holiday their next year and enjoy this video (and we have others of Sitges) in the meantime.

Okay chaps, you've convinced me to go to Sitges. How many days do you think I need, especially if i want to explore Barcelona?
If you can get either an early flight in, or a late flight out, plus you only have a small bag, then 3 full days and the half day you get on your flight day should work well. You've then got some good options...
