Spoiler warning just for people who haven't seen the whole video:
So, I think this is obviously a "no-correct-answer," trolley problem-type situation and I think it's SO cool of the game to split the characters up and only present part of the problem to each. Specifically because of how different people experiencing this game will pick up on different aspects, might misinterpret or poorly explain what they heard on their side, forget to mention details that seemed insignificant because they are missing key info, etc. etc. Brilliant idea.
Here, because Ash didn't have the context of the missing boy NOT being the dad's biological son, he didn't notice that the dad never once called him anything like "my wife's son" or "her son" or even "my step-son." He specifically calls him "our son." Ash also didn't explain that the dad wants to believe that their son is somewhere happily living his life but that he suspects something much worse happened to him, OR that his character asked the dad if he hated the boy and the dad said "Of course not, I love him!"
On Jazzy's side, she explained everything to Ash well, but because of the way the mom explained things to Jazzy's character, it made it seem like the husband had never really cared and that he was asking her to start a new family even before the boy ran away, which absolutely would be a shitty thing to do! Some might even infer that this could be the reason for the son running away. But the dad saying that they should move on after a full three years of the two of them searching together and finding nothing is a totally different story. I think there are also fairly obvious signs that the mom has been dealing with a lot of past trauma and has put so much of her identity into her son that it was probably unhealthy for both of them. For example, when she is alone with Jazzy she only ever calls him "my" son, not "our" son like she does when the huband is there. It might be a sign of strong possessiveness. From the dad's perspective, it's somewhat implied that THAT might be the reason the son ran away.
And this is subtle, but the dad's story makes it seem like their son is probably older, maybe even a young adult. Like they'vd been together as a family for a while before he ran away, and then add three more years. But the way the mom tells it, the son could still be a toddler or elementary school kid, which makes her urgency and the dad's lack of urgency seem even more damning of the dad.
I hope that there is at least a follow-up video to this where Jazzy and Ash see the other perspective and talk about it knowing the full story!

Intriguing game. I've never seen a 2P co-op game which has different visuals for each players. The story escalated quickly. Another series to watch until end 😊

This is a japanese game so surely this is relevant: "Bokura" ぼくら is a word that you can translate to "us", being the plural form of a boyishly masculine way to refer to the self. It's like how "me" becomes "we" to mean "me and [others]". It's pronounced "boh-koo-rah" (using the japanese R which is not as hard as the english R). Jas pronounces it correctly at the start. (Ash does not.)

*"Don't read books on your phone. It's gonna hurt your eyes."*
Thank you, Ash! Finally, someone else gets it That's why I only ever buy physical copies of books.
Well, that plus the collectors value. Also, when the apocalypse hits and cell phones, computers and TV are rendered obsolete, humans will have to revert to reading good old fashioned books. And then who's the one who's prepared?

Both can strain the eyes though I do imagine the constant bright light of a screen may be worse than the also possibly blinding light of sun reflecting on a white page. Tho digital version has the advantage of allowing you to increase the font size if you're straining your eyes due to that, when compared to a book with small font. In the end it's just wise to take breaks (similar to computer use) to just stare off into the distance for a few seconds before continuing.
I fully agree it's good to have the physical copy as digital copies can be taken offline at any given seconds. Only useful if you're low on space or prefer the convenience of reading it wherever without having to log them around.

@@mica4977 I often find a good strong pair of reading glasses takes care of the text size issue. Granted, I've never tried to read outside, but I have one of those strong LED lights in my room. IDK about anyone else, but I've never had an issue with light reflecting off the pages.

@@shadowjudge921 I haven't looked into reading glasses but back when I used to read, my eyes would get tired after the one to two hour mark of continual book reading since I wouldn't take breaks.
I would lay down next to my window to read (to get a proper amount of light) so while the amount of light wouldn't always reflect as strongly back at me, it would happen at certain times of the day (the sun hits my room directly in the mornings). Sand and snow can reflect enough light to sunburn us from below so I don't doubt that a decent amount of light can end up being reflected off of pages depending on how the person angles themselves in relation to the sun.
      Overall valid points tho.

@@mica4977 I had the same problem. I would read for about an hour or so then kinda pass out. So now I take my books in stride.
I either read one chapter a day, or (if the chapter is particularly long) I choose to read a specific number of pages, based on the length of the chapter. So like a 20 pager I'll take to the halfway point, any more than that and it's down to thirds and quarters.
Unless something very exciting or interesting is happening.
I'd probably die if the sun shined directly into my room. The light I don't mind, but the heat...

Man, i want to say all my thoughts about the different visuals for each of the characters representing their outlook on life with the blue hoodie kid seeing everything in a sort of greyscale, static, robotic way. While the other kid has this somewhat cutesy look with flashes of the horrificness of reality. And that button puzzle where they had to tell each other which symbol it was, maybe showed shared experiences. Like the hugging guy being how they saw their family when they were even younger than they are and the other more stoic guy could be how they see their family now. I kinda hate that i speculate like this since it makes me more sad about this story.
