Loved this show. Never missed an episode, right from when it started in the 70’s. From a time when people knew how to laugh and weren’t offended by everything. Even the adverts were more enjoyable ❤
@lifesbutastumble It's just a bullcrap comment, these people never lived in the 70s or 80s or they'd remember there was plenty of offense, they'd remember Mary Whitehouse, they'd remember the protests against the Life of Brian, they'd remember their favorite comedians telling a joke about people writing letters in to complain about jokes, and most of all they'd remember the show Points of View where all those complaints were read out week after week. Why would they remember these things? Because with only 4 television channels that were all strictly regulated by Ofcom, there was nothing else to watch
Thank you .. this was TV heaven. Back to a time where life was simpler and more pleasurable - none of the dystopian, social media driven woke crap of today.
He must have been a baby in those times, there was plenty of strife back then, and people complaining as much as they possibly could. Anyone who actually lived through those times remembers and knows twats like this are talking out their arse.
What a bizarre set up having Dennis Nordon sat on top of a fell in the Lake District. I assume the hospitality van must have been just out of sight as it would be very cold for an octogenarian - even in the summmer.
...What you call a proper It'll Be Alright On The Night compilation, unlike today's collection voiced by one of the world's unfunniest men, David Walliams!
3:40 - Blimey - I remember that Blonde when I started watching Corrie Street, and at 48:00 - that's the Gyro Pilot from Mad Max! Most of the rest is foreign to me because I am Canadian... Sorry
The Corrie blonde was Sarah Lancashire. If you can access a BBC series called Happy Valley in which she stars, I really recommend it. The first two seasons were filmed many years ago but the third and final one is recent.
The program was great, especially to see Dennis Norden but the adverts, what a joy to not see wokeness or enriched diversity. This is how adverts used to be only a few years ago. Unbelievable.
Happy Birthday Denis Norden. He would have been 102 today!
Yeah he would’ve if he’d lived
And he was 96 in 2018 when he died
How i wish, my children could be living in such simpler times. Sad really ! And sadly missed !
Here because Tom Scott reminded me I was old
i've been searching for this ever since tom scott's video on the title sequence. thanks for uploading!
thanks for leaving the ads in, sent me crashing on a wave of nostalgia seeing those
Were the ads made specially for the show? A lot of them had a running theme of "mistakes" in them.
Not the rabid lecturing woke ads which actually put you off the product

I remember seeing this compilation when it was first shown on ITV. Best Catchphrase ever,!
God, the quality of this clip is so smooth and crisp!
Well, yeah it's just before HD with a resolution not far off 720p
I always loved these shows - timeless.
Thanks for sharing these !

Yes they were, the Maltesers ad where the sweet ended up in some lasses boobs.
They also complained about Shoestring not having his tie fully up,
You must never have watched Points of View, offended people writing in to the BBC by the bag load.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to It'll Be Alright on the Night's cockup trip. Please welcome your host, Dennis Norden.
Brilliant, thanks for the laughs.

This reads like it was written by an AI told to use as many buzzwords as possible.
Admit you hate seeing black people on telly. You'd be a lot happier if you were honest.
And all because someone bothered to make a compass needle spin...
I didn't like ads then and don't like them now. The good news is on TH-cam we can fast forward over them.
had me in stitches all the way through.
This always reminds me of the Tom Scott video avout the intro. I knew about the compass spinning and still didn't notice it.
The Die Hard clip had me in tears 😂😂

The name of the fell inspired the title of the show.
The ridiculous men's wigs were the funniest part of the clip.

Great compilation! 3:57
Okay, I feel like this is going to get so many viewers because of Tom scott lol

That is a perfectly reasonable response to that news story.
I don't think Marita was in on the joke there
Nah. I think she knew why they were laughing.

John Jarret, better known as Mick Taylor from The movie Wolf Creek.
Yup : Great Cockup - right there near Windermere. Oodafortit!

int milk brilliant
Love how the adverts are not woke or diverse so much it makes you hate people.
You're racist and you know it. Stop pretending it's about someone else.
Just admit it: You don't like seeing black people in adverts.
Sounds like a you problem

Back on the day when we didn't take ourselves, race and political correctness seriously.

can't handle seeing non-white people on the box, kev?
Norden not Norton 😊
This is strange, it shows that there are 2 replies but nothing is showing. Two people are shadow banned by WokeTube.
Grow up
@@dannygmtg oh, have I triggered a lefty?
I didn't think I was going to laugh at this but I did. And I always thought that 'cock up' was another way of saying you've got a 'hard on'?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The modern one is not a good 👍 as the old program 😁😁🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
