I think it's so important when you're looking for a therapist, coach, mentor, etc. to have an initial consultation first, because whilst on paper they may seem great, and get good reviews, if they don't 'vibe' with you or aren't quite a good fit, it isn't going to work. Great vid Jeremiah!
Such an interesting and helpful video! Love hearing your anecdotes and times when you share experiences and perspective. Your therapist roleplays are top-notch!
Ugh I love your channel❤ I have a suggestion, can you do more doctor dad videos, more specifically one with us passing out and waking up in the hospital scared and you comforting us. I have a fear of doctors and hospitals and your doctor dad videos really help me with that. So thank you❤️ Keep up the good work!
So relaxing - and additionally, this video includes so many valuable notions and information for people out there! This is why your content is so incredibly awesome!
I still think you’d be really good at doing podcasts. Even if that thought is a future concept/ idea, you would be really good at it especially if you thought about taking a life coach approach. A lot of this video felt like it was a podcast and or reminded me of your psychology helpline video. The reminder you give about growing emotionally, reacting to certain things and why we react to it or what we make it mean, reinforces and helps me remember whenever I get triggered by something. It’s so true when you talked about being open, that leap into getting help. Letting go of the traumas of our past and healing our wounds and forging new relationships is a tough but not impossible. It’s takes time and commitment. I’m also currently reading that Sheldon Kopp book you recommended months ago. Finally got around to it and I’m blown away by it so far. 💙
Ive been to several therapists all of whom i didnt like. Im about to go to a new one tomorrow, thinking about calling it off. Because somehow i always feel worse after
Yes, he sure did! I'm a non-binary person and it helps to know there are other trans people, especially trans professionals, who we can feel safe with and accepted by. Especially when people want to believe we simply don't exist.
@@elliottrae9355 yes for people who identify within the LGBTQ community like myself it is so important and vital to find a therapist who specializes in LGBTQ issues🩷💜💙🌈
I feel like you’d make a really great therapist or maybe even a life coach

Nothing to be ashamed of. We all have some funky wiring inside us.
