Jammu and Kashmir is named after the two regions it encompasses - the Jammu region and the Kashmir Valley. Jammu and Kashmir is home to several valleys such as the Kashmir Valley, Tawi Valley, Chenab Valley, Poonch Valley, Sind Valley, and Lidder Valley. The Jhelum River is the major Himalayan river which flows through the Kashmir valley. The southern Jammu region is mostly mountainous, with the Shivaliks, the middle and the great Himalayas running parallel to each other in a southeast-northwest direction. A narrow southwestern strip constitutes fertile plains. The Chenab, Tawi and Ravi are important rivers flowing through the Jammu region.
Our 14 Days tour started with the train journey to Amritsar from Asansol. We reached Amritsar on the 2nd day and stayed at Amritsar for 1 night. The next day we visited Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Attari Wagah Border before catching our train to Katra that night. We reached Katra on the 4th day of our tour. We started the journey to Mata Vaishno Devi after lunch and reached Mata's Bhavan in the evening. We started our return journey at night and reached our hotel at Katra around 2 AM the next day. This day was scheduled for a complete rest after the long Vaishno Devi Yatra.
On the 6th day of our tour we started our journey to Srinagar from Katra. It was a long journey via road and we reached Srinagar in the evening.
On the 7th day we visited Sonamarg and spent the whole day there and returned to Srinagar in the evening.
On the 8th day we visited Gulmarg. At Gulmarg we went for both the phases of the Gondola ride which took a lot of time. We returned back to Srinagar in the evening.
The next day we spent exploring Srinagar starting with the famous Tulip Garden. This day we could not cover all the places of Srinagar due to huge rush of tourists and locals flocking to visit the Tulip festival. We visited Indira Gandhi memorial Tulip Garden, Srinagar Botanical Garden, Nishat Bagh Mughal Garden, Hazratbal Shrine and Lal Chowk that day.
On the 10th day we left Srinagar and went to Pahalgam. Here we visited Aru Valley, Chandanwadi and Betaab Valley and then returned to Pahalgam in the evening.
The next day was our journey to Jammu which was a long
ride Pahalgam. We reached Jammu in the evening and stayed for the night.
Day 13 was our last day of the tour. We visited the Hari Singh Palace at Jammu in the morning. In the evening we had our train for the return journey. We travelled to Ambala from Jammu via the Vande Bharat Express.
And from Ambala to Asansol via the Amritsar Howrah Mail spending the 14th day on this train.

ট্রাভেল এজেন্সী আমাদের মাথা পিছু ১৮৫০০ টাকা করে নিয়েছিল আর এ ছাড়া ট্রেন ভাড়া তে আরো ৪০০০ টাকা করে আর হাত খরচ প্রায় ২০০০ থেকে ৩০০০ টাকা মতন হয়েছিল। সব মিলিয়ে ২৫০০০ থেকে ২৬০০০ মাথা পিছু খরচ।
