To give you more info about the group, they started as 6 members in 2012 but 3 members left soon after due to contract reasons, so the remaining 3 members asked their vocal coach (Solji, she had given up trying to debut because she was 24 at the time and was told that she wasn't pretty enough to redebut at that age) and a trainee that was originally rejected (Hyelin) to join them, which made them a 5 member group (with LE, Hani and Jeonghwa). They came from a very small label and they were almost completely unknown until the end of 2014, they were on the verge of disbanding because it was tough financially, their manager wasn't even getting paid at one point. Then a fancam of Hani performing "Up and down" went viral, it has more than 30 millions views, which is crazy because they were completely unknown at the time.
This fancam saved their career, "Up and down", which had been released a few months before and hadn't been successul made a complete comeback on the charts, it was so crazy that music shows even invited EXID to come promote the song even though the promotion period had already ended (which I think is the first time it happened in kpop history). After that they came out with great songs again and again. But their trouble is not over, when they finally were successful, Solji (the former vocal coach), who is the leader and main vocal got sick and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had to take a break for almost 2 years, from the end of 2016 to their full group comeback in November 2018. But once again EXID beat the odds by coming out with great songs with only 4 members in the meantime. "I love you", the song you love is the first song that EXID came back with as 5 members after Solji's break :)
Exid and Mamamoo are the only kpop groups that I really love. Although I haven't followed them for a whole but this comeback just brings back all of the good memories. Exid is the first kpop group that have all members on King of masked singers, a show that singers compete with masks on until they lose, and Mamamoo is the second one. For vocal, I really recommend you check their stages in that show, especially Solji won the first title in the pilot episode in 2015 and won another 5 after she recovered from her sickness in the end of 2018. For Hani, she actually has a very amazing husky low voice that high-pitched girl group songs don't often fit her. All her 3 stags are insanely good in my opinions. She sang like a veteran singers and surprised everyone. In addition, her English covers are really nice to hear. Finally, what surprise me the most recently is Hyelin, her vocal just gets even better than ever. I am in love with her voice that makes her the most successful bias wrecker. BTW, the two leaders of the groups that I like all debuted at age 24 and they are both vocal powerhouse and talented singers. What a coincidence:)
EXID has serious talent, both vocally, stage-presence and personality.
Every live performance I've seen from them, especially the dingo and radio performances are always incredibly good and the vocals are always comparable or even better than the recordings. One of the things I like about EXID is that variation in vocal timbre and style that allows them to do so many different things, and they sound so different from each other. It's so enjoyable to listen to their stuff, it's like a buffet where you get a bit of each kind of flavor rather than getting the same thing every time.
Luckily, for people new to EXID, this video has all but 3 titles tracks which are the 3 oldest ones: "Whoz that girl" (their debut, although they don't consider it as such due to having a different line up then and don't sing due to some legal stuff, but is the reason for their introduction phrase), "I feel good" (Which came a few months after whoz that girl and they consider their actual debut, since that's the first song with the 5 we know today) and "Every Night" (came after I Feel Good and before Up & Down and is an underrated bop, but the girls like the song a lot)
In order from left to right, the members are LE (the rapper and songwriter/producer of the group, she wrote and produced most if not all of EXID's songs), Jeonghwa, Solji, Hani and Hyelin :)
Dang, I didn't know that LE's fact. What's with Kpop rapper being extremely talented in producing? 😂 It does make sense because they wrote their own rap but.. with vocal parts? Its like Kpop exclusive. Even my country rappers can't make vocal parts at this level.
SOLJI and HYELIN do the best belts! JEONGHWA is still my bias in this group! LE's raps are FREAKIN FIRE 불이나 불이나!!!!! And Hani's visuals is on par with Jeonghwa 😮 QUEENS!!!!!
The video for Ah Yeah, with it's great concept and flawless editing makes it one of the best ever made.

Ah yeah part- The one who harmonize while hani is singing it was solji one of the finest vocalist among the idols before and even now 🎉
MVs to check out: "Every night" (only song from my recommendations who wasn't in the killing voice video), "DDD", "LIE", "Ah yeah", "Lady", "Night rather than day", "Hot pink", Up and down" are some of my favourites, and I don't know if you've seen the "I love you" MV yet even though you love the song, but if you haven't I'll add it to the list
'Boy' is also good(and different), but no music video unfortunately.
Personally I like LE's solo version of 'Cream' too, which has a video.

You've definitely found what I believe is the most complete and "talented across ALL members" group in Kpop.
Mamamoo is the only one that is close. EXID and Mamamoo both have great singers across the board, both have beautiful women with attractive strong personalities. While EXID doesn't have a member as "fierce" as Mamamoo's Hwasa, Mamamoo doesn't have the "off-stage" presence of EXID: Solji is not only considered one of the best vocalists in Korea, she's also a vocal trainer AND a music/vocals professor at the college level. Elly/LE is essentially the same for rapping; an old-school, underground street rapper that actually teaches OTHER idols how to rap! Plus, she writes/produces not only for EXID, but also for other singers. Last count I saw, her credits were at around 75.....and that was in 2017. Then, Hani is also a fairly accomplished actress.
