I feel like anger is just the inner struggle to avoid feeling sad. Anger might give us the benefit of feeling in control, or a sense of self-righteousness as a defense mechanism. Sadness can be debilitating; anger gives us energy (albeit negative, destructive energy) to carry on with life. Maybe this is why we tend to get angry as a first resort. It feels justified, but the one who carries the anger suffers the most for it. I hope all of us here at this helpful meditation will find compassion for ourselves that can be carried forward into the world.

Oh this is so true! Anger is the kindling needed to start the fire but if we carry it, instead of moving into the next emotion, we're effectively burning ourselves and causing more pain. It is better than being numb but only as a tool for motivation to move out of despondency. 💚

Very true! I tend to stay with the anger because it feels better than crying. But it's not ultimately satisfying.

One of the best meditation experiences I have ever had. Feeling like I should’ve been going to the ER 20mins ago, due to a heavy anxiety attack with heaps of back, chest and head pain... now feeling relieved and relaxed. Without any of those crappy things mentioned! - Thank You So Much To Creator Spreading Love ❤️😊

This helped me stop being mad, I was shaking from being raged. I stopped shaking, it sounds intense when I said shaking but I literally was shaking texting ruthlessly to this one mean guy. I love this definitely recommend this for people with a temper

"Any person capable of angering you becomes your master; he/she can anger you only when you permit yourself to be disturbed by them." Quote by Epictetus. Ask yourself, am I happy for this person to become my master, or would I prefer to remain my own calm master?

I want to thank you for this powerful meditation, I felt hypnotised and in the beginning started to cry and wanted to scream out everything.. Then I became calmer and it felt like universe gets away all anger and negative emotions I had. I’m feeling much better, thank you! ❤️

I will try this one as I have to interact with three individuals who get on my nerves . No motivation no drive . Just constantly wining . It's very hard for me to find my centre on a daily basis. I do find however since doing Christian morning focus mediation. I feel less anxious. As i never no what they are going to say and do next . I have been walking away from them and spending less time in thier company. As when they leave I can't focus properly as I'm so angry at their antics . Then I bring it home.

I came here in hopes to find some sort of relief as anger has built up in me so much that it damaged my relationship with my fiance. Thankfully for me she gave me a second opportunity but this meditation is like nothing I've ever experienced. I cried in the process and never felt so free at the same time. I know i still have something in there but if i keep using this, i know i will be able to expel all the pain and suffering i have. Thank you so much.

Your voice sounds very much like Chris Martin (lead singer of Coldplay) which may have been part of the reason I was so relaxed. But aside the point, I adored this meditation. It's not so much about the anger but about learning how to respond or react in a manner that is not more damaging than the anger itself. Do not let the anger do the driving, so to speak. Many have a legitimate reason to be angry, but letting it drive wastes gas and puts a lot of wear and tear on the engine as well as creates an opportunity for a wreck and for karma to really kick your ass.
    That has been my experience.

I really like the style, music, a soothing voice...
I'm confused by "hold your shoulders down then release, feel your shoulders go down..." After tensing my shoulders down, the feeling is relaxing as they rise...
Also id appreciate a count back to ease back into the room. I feel in a bit of a daze at the end.

The only people who do support me is online which i am grateful for but you know, it hurts when the biphobia is coming from your own family members. 😔❤️💜💙

Well use some sort of step approach; get out of the situation that make you feel angry, breath slowly, and try to reinforce your peripheral vision. That way, you start to send to your brain that you have to step down, decrease your stress a bit (go from DEFCON 1 to DEFCON 2). And you continue, hopefully you will reach a DEFCON 4 and at that stage, this meditation can help....

I got told at my kid's school, that I don't take care of my kid putting in judgment my capacity as his mom. I've been all day in anger, trying not to explode and tell my kid's teachers to F off. That's their perspective, not mine. I do all I can to get my kid tidy and clean to school every day. I am a very responsible person and hate feeling humiliated by the social worker and the school nurse.

First comment on a meditation video and I’ve been meditating for 10 months now. The largest struggle I’ve faced in my life is hating my parents bc they raised me in a Christian cult that they refuse to recognize as having severely damaged my ability to function in the world. I almost struggle daily with hating them. All they seem able to do is invalidate me and tell me that the way I feel is wrong. For the first time, this meditation allowed me to place myself above them to see them for the loving parents they are and to forgive them their faults, my dad being high functioning autism and my mom for being a low empathy idiot. I know those are negative characterizations of them but that is the truth I’ve had to accept as I move past who they are in order to live my life free from the negative emotion they have/had almost seemingly permanently planted in my mind and heart bc of their refusal to recognize my feelings as valid. I know it will continue to be a struggle but that’s why we meditate every day bc life is a war, it’s an inner battle and you must steel your heart and mind to be the warrior you are capable of becoming. I did cry cleansing tears at the end of this meditation and it felt great. Peace and love.

The book by Robert Blythe, called Iron John, helped me let go of much of my issues with my cultist obtuse parents. It's a journey to look for mentors and support beyond the family and a short easy read. This recording is an example of one type of mentor. Namaste.

I was holding so much anger that I was getting mad at every meditation I listened to. The instant the music changed and this narrator started making me take accountability for the regret of my outbursts.. I sobbed. I stayed with it and he felt like he really understood where anger comes from. Which helped me finally release. Thank you so much!

More srsly though, there was a line I found problematic and decided to pass on this one: what if I don't see any way to handle a situation better (5:15). I was overwhelmed by frustration thinking about it and feeling hopeless for a while. Sorry, I know you have good intent but this one did not work for me at this time.

Wow, my sincere thanks....I was extremely frustrated getting angry at everything (including myself for getting so angry) - this really helped. I tried like 2 other videos before this one that just seemed to make me more aggravated because I couldn't just calm down enough to focus. That was NOT a problem with this one...I really appreciate this. The soothing voice, the perfect pace, the great timing. I ended up releasing so much stress and frustration that I ended up just going straight to sleep instead. Some of the best sleep me and my back have gotten in a long, long time. Thank you so much. I've saved this one- and of course I've subscribed already 💙💙💙

@@MeditationVacationhonestly it was all in the structure- everything about how you introduced calming down and the tension exercise really helped but even all of it was extremely helpful. I started crying at the regret part and was able to truly feel as though I was releasing a lot. The entire thing was just beautifully put and the best mediation I've found for this. Just thank you greatly for all of it and please continue to bring these wonderful gifts 💙💙💙
