  • Chatuchak is a huge weekend market in Bangkok, Thailand where lots of shopping can be done. There are clothes, accessories, food and more! We spent a day there with a budget of $100 Singaporean dollars to see what we can buy.

    Maybe you guys want to try feature hotel and restaurant buffets. There are cheap and good buffets around, not those been commonly introduced before. Shopping, there are foreign brands that are produce in Thailand which is a lot cheaper to purchase in BKK. Thai ppl are very creative in designs. Local designer brands will be more interesting too.

    In Thailand you shop till drop but found you still left with a lot of money 😂 That's how things are so cheap there.

  • @pepperpru
    @pepperpru ปีที่แล้ว +14

    I don’t understand why you are not bargaining. Really spoil market.
    Saying “so cheap!!” loudly is kinda off putting, insensitive and disrespectful to local people. It’s a very bad Singaporean tourist habit.

    • @benljr3219
      @benljr3219 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      genuinely curious, why is it considered disrespectful to say something is cheap out loud?

    • @pepperpru
      @pepperpru ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@benljr3219 200baht to Singaporeans may seem affordable. I won’t say it loudly in front of local people because I know it’s not easy to earn 200 Baht for many lower income Thai people. Singaporeans like to do this in Malaysia too. It’s quite annoying plus it makes you stand out for pickpockets.

    small suggestion - if tsl is trying to reach out to non singaporeans thru this channel, can try to lessen the singlish / malay accent so it's easier for foreigners to watch!
    edit: i totally accept that some of yall have differing opinions and i'm here for a good discussion but pls dont reply rubbish like i'm shading or degrading others. where the fuck is the shade unless y'all think singlish isn't good enough? LMAO. literally my point is EASIER UNDERSTANDING because foreigners won't understand all the "lahs" and "lorhs" and our sentence structure etc. y'all so rude then you deserve rudeness back.

    • @jerrytran8267
      @jerrytran8267 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      i think they're probably building their channel for foreign countries to target singaporean viewers for marketing

    • @allystar246
      @allystar246 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      lol how can you ask someone to change the way they grew up speaking? an accent is an accent. tsl has employees that have western accents too but there's a reason why they choose other talents for specific videos right

    • @animemachinex3
      @animemachinex3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Perhaps cut down on the slang like “la”, “lor”. Or cast talents who speak more standardised English with less localised accent eg chow, jerald. This is of course if tsl goal is to reach out to foreigners. (Think jianhaotan and his reach to western countries)

    • @charmaine702
      @charmaine702 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I rather hear Singlish than the overly exaggerated, accentuate "An-gayleesh" pronounciation that does not come off natural with many grammatical errors & wrong use of vocabulary! Speaking Singlish or speaking with an accent does not mean the person has less. Someone who speaks better English does not resonate that the person is highly educated too. It is all about human values. We can embrace Singlish and anyone's accent just like how we could embrace, accept and understand other nationalities when speaking English.
      A suggestion or the word "suggestion" has positive connotation. It is not nice to shade and degrade others.
