Hey guys !
I'm a big fan of TWD and I wanted to pay a tribute to Daryl and Beth because to my mind this is the most interesting relationship in the show. They are both so different from each other but finally it brings them closer. I'd like to see them together...

"is that what you think of me?" - gut wrench. It's amazing how they brought two characters with pre conceived notions about one another and melded them together beautifully. Don't understand how they chose to go from great writing and characterization to the incohesive mess of coda. Shock and gore wins over substance, yet again.

astpsouth Absolutely agree - your comment espresses exactly what happened. . Not only was it plot-killing, character - developing major mess, the shooting was also so sloppy, it gives you a sour feeling. Elementary. Next time they want a character off, make sure they wrap-up the effect this characetr has on the rest, and shoot the scene with more attention. A victim cannot receive a gunshot entry wound on their forehead, while the gunned hand of the killer is below their chin at the time. I was watching with hubby and a couple of friends and everyone was looking behind Dawn for the smoking gun, while the rest wondered 'why did Daryl shoot her???" - complete confusion. Get Real. Study a bit. It;s like developing major characters so nicely and then - boom - all at waste...
If she really is dead then it was as ill conceived as the murder of Charlie Bradbury on Supernatural.
True, but in a way it feels fitting that their last conversation was that "what changed your mind?" conversation. They may have never said "I love you." to each other, but they knew what it meant.

But the writters do that specially, they knew she'll die since season 4 so all speaches are created to be sad so she insist "I'm gonna miss you so bad when I'm gone Daryl Dixon", "you'll never gonna see Maggie again", "I miss Maggie"..... Like she knew that she'll die, so stupid it is.

This is probably one of the most beautiful, wonderful videos I have ever seen. The music, the cutting, the scenes....to pull this around the big fight, that changed everything, was brilliant. Just beautiful. You showed both their strength and weakness....both their toughness and softness....I am in awe of this video!
Thank you so much, that's how I've seen the show. It was an intersting pairs, I wanted more ! Even if Beth dies she could have a last little scene with Daryl, we were waiting for THIS ? I'm angry. I liked her and was happy that she started to be important but she's gone. She was useless during 3 season and she started to be a real character and she dies, what a terrible choice.

For example take "todays crisis" things will/have been taken away from you at a whim. Are you even free to go about your day without whistleblowers and Gestapo controlling your everyday lives?
Yes I agree, I miss Beth and this broke my heart. . . but what happened, I stopped watching, I freed myself from the system. Point is M8, get out there and live, and fight the artificial suppression on life that been imposed (as a means of a greater test). Fight it hard, live free with honor, help those who are ill, and do the Lord's will. That's all one can ask of you

Yes it was very sad for Beth but not for Maggie. She didn't give a fuck about Beth. Sometimes I'm wondering if the writers forgot that Beth is Maggie sister.............

I would love for Kang to have Daryl have a dream of Beth, just to bring her back one more time, even if it’s because he’s having feelings for someone else and feels guilty because I do think he was falling in love with Beth (unless the show runner can say no, just good friends).
My heart is broken. This never deserved to happen, they deserved a chance together, Bethyl will never die♡
Norman Reedus never fails in a role...like...he's played so many roles, all of them he acted like he was born for them. But the way he played Daryl....absolutely magnificent
I used to think it would have been weird if him and Beth were together but the more I rewatch the show and just see videos like this the more I feel like Daryl liked her
Yep. Even Norman said there was a feeling of a romance in the air. And also added that Daryl was starting to feel something, he just did not understand what that was, he was confused since he never experienced anything like that. But their last conversation of "what changed your mind?" and Daryl looking at her like that.. was a very obvious hint of the whole romance thing. That's not the only thing that was hinting at that, but I think it's one of the most important. Honestly her whole death and absolutely 0 funeral are soo weird. So many people think she may still be alive. But I guess we'll never know unless the writers bless us with a Beth return in one of the upcoming spin-offs.
Bethyl is one of my forever otp and this vid will forever be my fav!

I don't ship these too , never thought it would happen like that I think they saved each other she brought out the softer side of him and gave him hope to survive and he showed her how to survive when nothing was left and to fight till the very end . I agree with you on your thoughts. I never tied Daryl and Beth romantically. One of my favorite episodes without a doubt. Norman and Emily played their parts so well.
Yes I agree with that but I think that in this kind of circonstance a romance can grow and it would be so interesting. I don't mean something childish, they could have killed Beth after that but now I'm frustrated.

dsdontsurf have a little faith :) It'll be epic, I have complete faith in Gimple, his team, Norman and Emily. They are all so wonderful. I think it's been planned for a long time, so if they screw it up or fall back from it, they're morons. And they are very smart, smarter than most viewers anyway (b/c eff the haters- life's too short to pay any attention to idiots who hate b/c of ignorance and bias) so yes, it has been planned for a while :)
I don't think it'll be happy ever after fairytale romance, it is The Walking flippin' Dead! But it can still be an epic once in a lifetime kind of true love story, FACT- true love never dies...
amybock6499 They are morons. Morons who haven't any ideas anymore so they kill everyone (new characters of course, Daryl, Rick and Glenn are immortal, you can guess who will die with a bit a training).
First the character start to be a lot in the show and then he starts to be good, he has a moment of glory (Merle in the 3rd season when he joins the group and wants to kill the governor, Hershel in the 3rd season when he heals everyone, Beth start to be filmed a lot, she was useless in the 2 or 3rd season....)
The only one death that I didn't expect was Lorie's one.
What is interesting in TWD ? To see which character who you start to like will die. I start to think that it is very empty.
BlueHypnotik Sorry, I can't watch! I'm done with it all. I've boycotted AMC and Kirkman, on principle I will never waste another moment of my life on their bullshit. I wasted hours of precious free time on watching TWD on my dvr, Netflix, here, Tumblr, etc. Supporting them, loving them, I invested too much, and overestimated Gimple and his crew, gave them too much credit for sure. I let myself be set up to think that they knew what they were doing,,, they clearly don't. I have unfollowed everyone except EK on Twitter, even NR (idk what to think, I sort of blame him, idk why either, feeling betrayed by all of them) and all the lovely Bethylers, not because I don't love them, but because it's so painful. I made a huge mistake in supporting this bullshit. Can't stand it. All the love... it's completely broken. I'M NOT WASTING 1 MORE SECOND WATCHING, EVER, AGAIN!
I don't care what anyone else does or says about any of it anymore, as for me I'm finished with them for good.
When Beth was shot, I crashed, hard, WTF am I supposed to do now? You see, all my ships crash and burn, I always knew they'd die on the show & it would be tragic, I just thought that they'd be better than, typical tragic. Fiction that it is, they obviously care more about "shocking" viewers than doing real justice to their story, it's effed up. Lacking!
So that last scene of Morgan's offering to God, it woke me up from the nightmare I've been living, that I'd been led into, giving too much of my heart and soul into this fake crap. I have better more important things to do now than allow their shitty story and shitty made up world that have made people more cynical and apathetic towards what is Reality. The real world is bad enough, yet I let this happen to my own soul, I'm done with it. I'm awake now and turning back to My 1st love, the Truth! I can thank them for that at least.

Fantastic job putting this together. I'm really impressed. Although I didn't think of Daryl and Beth's relationship in a romantic way, they definitely had a special bond. One of my favorite episodes on TWD. It would have been cool to see Daryl overcome Dawn and her cronies and save Beth. I also thought like others that the writers screwed it up by not having Daryl and Beth have a happy to see you moment before her death. It kind of made it seem as if the never bonded in season 4.

I didn't think too, I just hoped and think it could be nice for the next season, I wanted something deep not like Bob and Sasha. You know they lived a lot of things together and shared a lot I wanted to see more and see a kiss maybe to make it deeper. But it is just a beginning not even a deep relationship.

Rick's reunion with Beth killed me. The way he cupped her face, looked into her eyes, and protectively placed his hand on her back leading her away from danger. He thought of her as precious.
And yet for Daryl's reunion with Beth we get nothing. I didn't expect him to kiss or anything like that but it could've at least had the intensity of Rick's moment with her.

Not sure I noticed all the details, but that's what I love about your vid - I can come back any time I want and discover new things I haven't seen before. The music's fine; I love how it grows and grows along with the clips of them fighting, and just when Daryl's sort of breaking apart so does the music. And then it gets real sweet and soft, and I like how it parallels their budding relationship from that on. That is, if that's what you were going for - Gee, am I overinterpreting things?
Anyway, a lovely vid. You ARE very talented. Keep going (even if people are dicks and don't comment!). =)

Thanks, I didn't know that it contains that much details haha I was seeing it as a basic tribute. No, you're aren't overinterpreting things :). I've chosen this music because I loved it so much and the fact that first it is calm and then faster and louder, as you said it grows and grows. So I choose the dialogue scene that I prefered and it fits great, I did it specially, I wanted that when Daryl start crying and breaking apart the music's breaking apart too (as you noticed). At the end I cut the song because I wanted to do a fast part without dialogues (my first version stopped at 5:51 and I didn't put the "what changed your mind ?" scene but when Daryl said to Rick "I was with Beth".) Guess I'll do another one as soon as I can.

@Loke eid the showrunner did it specially. He wanted to kill her since season 4 so they decided to put some dialogues like that to specially make ppl sad. That's why she said "I'm gonna miss you so much Daryl Dixon when I'll be dead"(something like that). I don't like the fact that it is a cliche of a sad movie. It was made to disappoint ppl or are they just dumb ?
I hope the theories of her still being alive and connections between the comic books are true...

we will never know sadly, the problem with this tv show is that every relationship are superficial, they never really dig into the characters and their feelings... The showrunner wasted all its potential.

J'débute la saison 1 de 6 épisodes. Mais c'est 40minutes de moyenne l'épisode, c'est pas si cours que ça et j'ai vu sur Wiki que la série était toujours en production.

Oui dieu merci, j'attend la saison 5, je compte les heures. Le 12 octobre ça commence !
BlueHypnotik T'abuses! M'enfin, si ça tient en haleine, pourquoi pas, même si je trouve que 40minutes ça semble long pour un épisode, au pire le temps final restera le même.
Compte pas trop les heures, ça pourrait te rendre + dingue que ce que tu ne l'es déjà. C'est parti, un peu moins d'un mois pour se remettre à niveau.
Taytoutay 40 min c'est le temps normal, pour bien exploité la chose. Les séries comme Californication qui font des épisodes de 20 min c'est ridicule, c'est vraiment parce qu'il ne se passe rien.

The Walking Dead should have let Daryl and Beth do a kissing scene. Right before is that Beth have died. Just in my opinion.
