They also tend to become very affectionate to people they trust, typically people who raised them. It’s just in the wild, they constantly in danger from the likes of Lions, Hyenas and Wild Dogs and their eyesight is extremely poor… and their intelligence is a bit lacking
This reminds me of the article I saw about how Tyrannosaurs likely make quacking sounds like a duck; here is a colossal beast built like a house with a horn that could spike clean through a human, and they more commonly communicate through squeaks and high pitched whines like a bunch of dolphins. Of course I know they also make very deep, loud grunts, snorts, and can effectively roar, but it's such a funny contrasting feature. Makes them all the more oddly adorable.
I actually just wondered what sounds rhinos make and darn this video hits the sweet spot. I wasn't expecting such a range. That more high pitched sound as well, wondering if it was from younger ones or not even the rhinos. Thank you for the vid! Interesting stuff.
It's 2020 and I'm 30 years old, and I never knew how they sounded like for real x3 so they basically sound like a Balloon, high pitched squeaking to low pitched growling?... interesting.
If rhinos Didn't have bad vision, we might have been able to tame them. Rhinos in captivity are quite friendly towards their caretakers. Then again, feeding them would strain a farmers or armies funds.
@@reubencaldwell8494No they do actually have bad eyesight, they can’t see a motionless animal or object from 30meters away. They much more rely on their great senses of hearing and smell
White rhinoceros (the type of rhinoceros shown in the video) are surprisingly friendly, which explains their behavior in this video.(You can tell because of their square lips) The "mean rhinos" are the black rhinoceros, which have a pointed lip compared to the square lip of white rhinos.
After watching JonTrons Zoo Race video multiple times over the years, yes, the rhino sound in Zoo race is actually accurately. Good on them for the research 😂
Isn’t it more important to query where these rhinos are, as in why are they in a very small enclosed space with no apparent fauna? They’re living creatures, not a ‘pleasant’ distraction for those wondering what they sound like.
Judging by the fact there are no adults present, this is likely some sort of rhino orphanage, where people find rhino calves that have been orphaned due to poaching and give them shelter where they can survive. I appreciate the concern, but you don't need to have it here.
This is what I would expect a Koala to sound like while a Koala sounds like what you'd expect a Rhino sound like

They actually make both high pitched whines and very deep growl/belch sounds, they also make those heavy snorting/breathing sounds of course.
I always assumed they grunt or moo or something. This is about the last sound I was expecting
Oddly enough Rhinos appear terrifying from a distance but up close they're actually quite cute.
Yep they’re funny ol things. :)
Curious little fellows I’d say

Rhinos don't actually have bad vision, they're just really sensitive to movement and skittish like a horse.

Its midnight and my 3 year old daughter asked me what sounds rhinos make, here we are

I would’ve never expected this sound to come from such a big, ferocious looking animal.
Just think. They say dinosaurs most likely chirped like birds.
