A problem I had is that the batteries in my smart lock needed frequent replacing but my alarm company replaced the lock with a new lock and the new one seems to last longer
@@Alvon-yo1bh Thank you for sharing your experience! Battery life can definitely be a pain point with smart locks, especially if they’re heavily used. It’s great to hear that your alarm company stepped in and replaced it with a better model-that’s exactly the kind of customer support we all hope for!
Very good information. Most traditional landline telephones are now VoIP before they reach the central station, which makes them no longer compatible with an alarm system. What’s this mean? The burglar probably doesn’t need to cut your phone line because there’s a good chance the report won’t go through anyway. Kathy is right on target about upgrading. If your alarm uses telephone lines for reporting, you must upgrade to be protected again.
Thank you for sharing this important insight! You’re absolutely right-traditional landline systems are becoming obsolete due to VoIP technology, which can disrupt communication with the central station. That’s why upgrading to a modern system with cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity is so critical. These newer technologies are more reliable and harder for burglars to bypass. It’s great to see you reinforcing this point-it’s all about staying ahead of the curve to keep our homes and loved ones safe! 😊 Feel free to share any tips or experiences you’ve had with upgrading your system-I’m sure others would love to hear them!
