You've got to remember, Amazon, its parent company, is essentially letting all of these happen. Oh wait, judging from Amazon's previous track record with The Rings of Power, and the constant befuddling with Warhammer 40k, it's not really surprising how mismanaged Twitch really is.

@@Skeloperch completly agree I am all in for freedom of speech as long as its actual freedom of speech and also change their goddamn simp moderation team
I agree with the idea of banning political streamers. It's the same principle we had with the "hot tub" streamers. There's a platform for everything, including politics. Why should the "gaming streaming platform" be promoting anything outside of gaming content and cater to people outside that audience other than to get them into gaming?
Unfortunately this runs into a problem on "what is political". Like, if you play a game and get angry at the villain hitting your female companion, do you now count as a feminist and you get banned? Or if a character asks you about the trolley problem and you answer with your own opinion, wouldn't that make you "political"? Many games are not that free of any political issues, it's just that they wrap it in great story and gameplay and usually let the player themselves decide, on what to think. But if then the streamer reacts to those situations, someone could decide "hey, that makes the streamer political" and report them. That's why one always has to be careful, on disallowing people from talking about someone that can be interpreted as broadly as "politics".
TH-cam adpocalypse was crazy. PewDiePie was just joking around with the hitler shit then BOOM! You can't even make sensitive jokes nowadays the world has turned into a sad clownfest of bribeable f*cks.
I actually think its a fundamentally different problem......The TH-cam Adpocalypse came about because they didnt want to0 be responsible for moderating ANY of theircontent because they knew it would be a lot of work, money and liability but were forced to do so Twitch is a different problem they were/are through a selective moderation curating a certain group of people that elements in the company agree with and likely because that group sensed they were protected they could get away with alot and its now being exposed

Bros idea of income is broken ay? Especially considering his comment about being a postman. I'm lucky enough to earn $2k a week, but working 6 days a week as a truckie will do that.
No imagine if that $1000 you made got cut to $200 for the same amount of time worked. I agree the amount is still better than most but his income still got cut by like 80-85%
Twitch is where brain cells go to die, imagine complaining about only making 2k a day, for doing actually nothing but sitting and somewhat interacting with a camera.
Imagine your employer docked 80% of you pay. Not saying 2k a day is a small amount to be earning, but 8k a day is a lot of income to lose. And let's not forget smaller streamers who would be receiving a similar percentage paycut. Less income lost, but 80% is 80%.

We have tried to warn twitch for years that this was going to happen. We all saw that at some point a combination of bad decision after bad decision alone with bad moderation was going to make advertisers and investors disappear like that. Doesn't help that Twitch is at times showing soft core prawn for a website and app that is advertised as being for young teens. Create a 18+ version if you want that content but it needs to be separate. That alone is going to make large companies with a family reputation go nah we out. It is simple stop playing favourites. Put your big boy pants on and actual enforce the rules that is best for streamers and advertisers, otherwise suffer the consequences and watch Amazon throw you aside because they will. If a big streamer does something totally unhinged and goes against TOS, you need a 0% tolerance policy and ban them on sight. It is far better to cut off loose cannons early than let them fester and give them more confidence when you let them get away with nonsense after nonsense.
They really could spin it off, but then they would start running into the same issue as all the other host of prawn. They start being put in the eye of Mastercard and Visa's.

I don't know if it's a legal thing or just a coincidence, but I've noticed multiple websites require you to use an adult account to view mature content now (e.g., Reddit, Newgrounds, Art Station). And in some US states (along with some countries I imagine), adult websites require ID verification to be accessed. At the time of this comment, Twitch allows you to view mature streams without an account, and I don't think they even blur the thumbnail. This will come back to bite them.

And imagine, you go from 1000 Dollars a month to suddenly 200 Dollars a month. So while he's just another out of touch rich guy that people would gladly trade with, he does show how much it's gonna hurt every else who does not have a big enough following to get noticed on social media
Same would I, but then again, maybe you should consider an 80% of salary reduction with no warning or explanation is outraging regardless, and he won't be the one having it the worst, consider your favorite smaller streamer, kinda making it by not that much of a margin, trying to avoid stuffing ads in his streams having his revenue cut 80% off, that's the warning I am getting
@@cardescomedioses3674Also, lots of big streamers employ other people and actually pay their moderators too or editors. If they take a cut in revenue, they might have to fire or lay off some of their own employees.
That's not the point, my friend.

So deserved. People focusing on the politics but still forgetting all the softcore porn. Its over for twitch.
tbh nobody really cares about that, the israel thing has far greater weight, the camgirls cost them some advertisers i'm sure, but the anti-semitism is a wrecking ball of entirely different dimensions as it is heavily offensive to most jewish people who in turn are very active in business. You advertise on a website that engages in anti-semitism you can bet your company won't be doing business with theirs anytime soon (and vice-versa).. it has wide ramifications and makes your company lose business and partners.
The camgirls do too, but to a much lesser extent, we're a fairly liberal society, people don't usually get that outraged about seeing your ad under a camgirl that secular businesses would boycott your company or tear up agreements with you, but anti-semitism is a massive no-no
i've been bitching about the softcore porn for years now. about time shit started biting twitch in the ass.

Gaming has the biggest audience to reach out to. That's why they go there.
It's almost like they didn't learn from youtube own adpocalypse
TH-cam adpocalypse was crazy. PewDiePie was just joking around with the hitler shit then BOOM! You can't even make sensitive jokes nowadays the world has turned into a sad clownfest of bribeable f*cks.
Thing is Twitch will die off from this adpocalypse!
History repeats itself again
I actually think its a fundamentally different problem......The TH-cam Adpocalypse came about because they didnt want to0 be responsible for moderating ANY of theircontent because they knew it would be a lot of work, money and liability but were forced to do so
Twitch is a different problem they were/are through a selective moderation curating a certain group of people that elements in the company agree with and likely because that group sensed they were protected they could get away with alot and its now being exposed
Not even the same tbh. Twitch's problem has been lingering and celebrated for years..

Your time is coming soon too, “Rev”.
@@UltraNoobian While that might be true, I do wonder how much pressure those card companies would be under knowing it's a site backed by Amazon. Hell it could be the ticket out of this hellscape if they tried and got in a legal battle against Amazon. We just need one court case against them and other smaller companies can break through the cards bs.
Remember when Twitch allowed "tasteful" nudity for a 13+ app, then backtracked when (surprise, surprise) it was being used to show p-rn? They didn't change the age rating... Or give a heads-up on that decision... Or consult the community...

12:30 Amount of Twitch ads is unbearable for me, and adblock isn't working there. If TH-cam somehow becomes like Twitch in terms of forcing ads even with adblocker, I'll have to drop TH-cam as well and find a new past-time which isn't too hard to do.
For 100 grand I expect Destiny will try to collect the bounty himself.
When criminals abuse the law, and the law refuses to do their job, the only ones who are punished are the ones following the rules :\
Someone got the call to shut it down.
Amazon has needed a good enough reason to pull the plug on Twitch, and I think it'll finally die in 2025. Now the question is, what's gonna replace it? Will people move to Kick? Will something else pop up in its place? Will everyone just move to TH-cam?
Twitch lasting 2 more years? I give them until 2025 or mid 2025 until the site dies
