Thank you for this teaching Cait. Since my wife passed a few years ago, I've had some serious struggles in my thoughts and emotions. She was a prophetic inner healer, and I've never met anyone so close to the Lord, with such a mature walk. It's not that she never stumbled with sin, but it was relatively rare. Something which impresses me to this day, as I still aspire to a higher level than where I am.
Some of my greatest breakthroughs came from fasting and fervent prayer. The Holy Spirit would allow a specific sin in me to surface, and after stumbling and repenting over and over, I would start seeking the Lord for a more permanent change. In this my wife shared her testimony, as to how the Lord would come in power and free her from an enemy stronghold.
I believed her testimony, and applied it myself. For example, I had much difficulty around lust, and I was being shown by the Lord that I needed to address it. I fasted (water only) for around two weeks, resisting the sin with all of my willpower, and frequently praying fervently for His power to come and change my heart. It was not something I could simply "turn off", like a switch. If anything, it was more like a switch that was stuck on, and I stumbled frequently. After turning to the Lord with ALL my heart, deciding that I would get my breakthrough or starve to death, His power came and changed me inside. Jesus changed something that I did not have the power to change on my own, and I found that when I noticed an attractive woman, I no longer felt that pull inside, that ungodly desire. I learned that this process is called Sanctification, and that it is possible to be freed from things that we cannot free ourselves from.
I share this with you and whoever else may take encouragement from reading this, that when you are stuck in a sin, Jesus has your way out. Not every sin that I have had to deal with has been dealt with this way. Sometimes I stumbled in sin due to a lie that I believed. To this day I still have to purposely counter some persistent lies with the Truth of God's Word. Other areas were due to abuse, which I had to forgive and seek the Lord for healing in my heart (of which He has done much, as evidenced by the fact that I haven't taken any lives, which was a strong temptation for many years). Forgiving and receiving healing in my heart helped me to move past the rage and hatred that developed from the mistreatment I received from parents and other authority figures. Because of Jesus Christ the enemy's plan to cause me to destroy others and myself has failed.
Your teaching is spot-on, and I wanted to thank you for the encouragement. Even though I know to do this, at times I have forgotten and slipped up as a result (such as recently). Your teaching reminded me to go back over events, and really look at where my thoughts and attitudes were, and what they should have been. Thank you again sister, and may the Lord continue to prosper you in your mind and heart.

My dear brother taught me long ago: in evaluating what you are hearing. If there is peace, calm, stillness and joy there is the Lord. If there’s drama, negativity, discord and chaos then there is the devil. Negative evil thoughts or discouragement do NOT come from the Lord .

I've been in the wilderness for 17 years. It's been a blessing from God. I read the bible from Genesis to revelation. I listen to it and pray with psalms daily. Thank you very much, Cait! Now I finally understand why satan (lowercase, because he is a bully) attacks me at my weakest and why he knows exactly what types of thoughts to replay and rehash in my mind to torture me! Just like God knows EVERYTHING about myself (Psalm 139), satan does, too and never misses an opportunity to hold me captive. He places impure thoughts and fear in my mind because he knows about my past and how much it hurts me and my relationship with God. You also mentioned how it prevents us from consuming the Word, which is quintessential for the renewal of our minds. Once again, I can confirm this is true, Cait.
Thanks to you, Cait, I have gained the knowledge which will help me fight back and resist the devil. Instead of relying on my own strength alone, I will now fight back with Scriptures. I will look up Bible passages that will protect me from sinning in the future and give me courage.
I am amazed this is not being taught by many preachers these days, namely that satan is our enemy and that freedom is possible through imitating Jesus's example.
Cait, by the way, you have also reminded me of a prescription that will bring peace to ANYONE, regardless of what their struggle/bondage areas are. It tells us what kinds of thoughts we should cultivate in our minds so that Jesus's peace remains in us:
Philippians 4:8-9 (I used NIV Version from Bible Gateway. Please, pray I can get a paper Bible before it gets banned, because the Bible itself says people will hunger after the word of God. I have been blessed I was able to download a Bible app to read the Word on my phone, but, trust me that if the Bible says people will hunger, it means there will be no more Bibles available, either online or offline).
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

God led me here. I’ve battled mental health issues for 30 years, depression, somatic symptom disorder, anxiety, panic attacks. Mental help through medication has never really helped however weekly therapy has to some extent but the darkness still exists. I’ve certainly lost a great deal of my life due to these issues, time for change!! Thank you for this. I will continue to stay strong in God

The closer I was getting to surrendering my whole heart over to Jesus, placing all my trust in him, being saved by him, the more intensely the enemy was working on me. He tried many ways to use fear to scare me and beat me down. But I did not stop seeking to know more and more of who Jesus is for me. God used these trials for me to have to rely on him more, learn, know, feel and experience that it's his strength not mine. That he gives me every breath, there is nothing I myself do to have each breath. Once I finally wholeheartedly trusted Jesus with my whole heart, and prayed the salvation prayer, my whole spirit felt healed, though the journey continued but this time I knew God's strength was on my side (always was) with my faith in him, so even though the enemy continued for another year, God used that to strengthen my faith in Jesus. Do not give up! Like Cait said, "Never give up and the Devil will". God also works through health providers, though that is not a replacement for being saved, after being saved God also placed all the best health providers in my life to help me heal from PTSD. Bio-feedback and an amazing Psychiatrist who has helped with my depression, anxiety, ADHD, scary dreams, and cyclothymia with very low doses of Rx's where I feel more like myself taking them with all these mental health issues at bay, which also helps the processing and re-wiring and healing from counseling be more effective. Prayers for you both and all of us who have gone through or going through these things. God bless you, and remember to call on the name of Jesus, there is power in his name. Fear God, not the enemy because God is the one who has the power and his power is to heal you, help you, and never harm you.

As empaths, narcissists are drawn to us. The light in us. We must keep close to our Lord Jesus Christ. The demonic entities in the narcissist wants to take you down and out. Make you believe that you're worthless.

This is sooooo very true. I just recently learned about the narcs and their tricks. I had an ex I was in love with but was not following God at the time and she destroyed me and almost killled me. Her recenty husband killed himself over her infidelity and selfishness. I always felt the ony way she could feel loved was by hurting or dominating me anyway possible as I am an Empath too. I still resent her for that, but wish things could have been different between us. I really cared about her.

Many of God's chosen vessels are separated from the rest and usually don't fit in. People called into seclusion by the Lord are being trained by Him. We cannot fulfill the Lord's will by being distracted. There are many distractions in the world and even in the church. When Jesus chose His 12 disciples they went with Him learning from Him and being trained by Him for the ministry He called them to. I believe this! Periods of isolation with the Lord teach us dependence on Him. Jesus Himself was misunderstood by many around Him (including His own brother and family) and spent time being alone with the Father. We should expect the same and follow in His footsteps as His disciples. Thank you for taking the time to watch 😊

Yesterday I suffered a severe panic attacks. I felt like I was going to die. My wife and I prayed while my kids and father comforted me. Today I watched cartoons like Max & Ruby, Milly & Molly and such with my kids to Relax. Stay Strong with God and don't give up fighting with Our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏
Read the book "help and hopes for your nerves" by Claire Weeks. It will disect and unmask panic attacts. They will stop for you in short order. Plz do this for yourself. God Bless you.
I just suffered such a threat and could literally feel my heart give in. I kept praying and asking God to come to my aid and it was dead silent, I felt so abandoned and rejected, but still continued to pray on not giving up, praising him and uplifting his name. When I felt the evil presence which felt like a spirit of death leave, I had open a scripture whilst I was praying but when I read it out it was a heartbreaking scripture to read, I fell back into weakness and it came back in a matter of minutes. Already weak and alone, I felt as though I had to give in and pass but looking at my kids, I stood in spirit again to fight against and deny death by the blood of Jesus and claim life and full authority over my life in Jesus mighty name. It left me crying like a baby in such bitter tears. Please pray with me to overcome this lie of the enemy over my life 🙏.
I'm so sorry. 🙏Pray everyday constantly. Be careful what you watch on TV. Satan can attack you through the TV. My husband also has crippling attacks. Then we look back at what he's been watching on TV. And you must focus on pure, holy, and holsome shows not news not movies. Just bible stuff on U-tube would be best. Get rid of regular TV.

It's so sad and comforting to know we're not alone! The heaviness and panic is so extreme and real and feels like you can't escape. I JUST bought the book help and hopes for your nerves, I heard it's amazing. The spirit of death and demonic is REAL and when it comes on it feels like you can't escape. Jesus is the only answer, our only hope. Sometimes it feels like He's a million miles away and that's exactly what the enemy wants us to believe. When I go through extreme panic attacks I do the same thing, watch cartoons with my kids and connect with family that can offer support. God is also teaching me to get to the root now. WHY am I having panic attacks? Why is there fear? What area in my mind and heart have I left open to the enemy? What wrong beliefs do I have or trauma that needs healing? No child of God should ever have to experience such incredible torment, I know it's not Gods will. I pray that you all get complete healing and recovery!!! Ultimately we have the incredible hope of peace for all eternity with Him.

It's really funny how the enemy did not want me to see this video I clicked on it, it started to play and I immediately changed the video and something in me told me go back and listen. in the battles that I've been facing lately this is everything that I needed to hear i have listened to the same lies how i will never find someone who will truly love me as love them and i won't get to be a father or just be used like all my other relationships, this was very inspiring to hear some one face the same lies and be victorious by using the word of god to combat the enemy. I want to go to that next level in my relationship with the Lord and be able to wield the sword and the enemy just keeps trying to get me to postpone it and is fighting me tooth and nail to distract me from picking it up, not to mention my inadequacies I'm not feeling like there's any way that I can become what God wants for me to be and Minister to others because of my past. I know it's all lies but sometimes I just can't get over it I know confrontation from the enemy is just validation that I'm in the right direction but I feel like one of the soldiers on the battlefield next to David seeing Goliath and shaking in his boots waiting for God to send someone else. If any of you brothers and sisters read this please pray for me but I can be strong and courageous like David and Joshua, and that my fire and zeal for the Lord be reignited, so my cup can overflow so I may pour it out on those around me.
I am praying for you my brother. Stay firm and walk in victory. Always pray and seek for confirmation up to 3-5 times if you need to.
Don't judge by your senses or by just one evidence. Take back your confirmations to GOD. And keep silent while doing this process.
I mean pray in your head, receive the confirmation, keep quiet, ask for more confirmation, keep quiet, etc..
Everything you set your mind to, Always believe it IS in your blueprint. You don't deserve it because it was reserved for you centuries before you. When facing a delay, a setback, a doubt, rewire your mind to you glorifying GOD and defeating the devil who wants to prevent you from testifying for GOD.
Every goal you have is a command from GOD HIMSELF!!!!

When the devil tries his intimidating tactics I would speak internally: I am going to Obey GOD rather than a man or a devil.

I had everything in that pic you were talking about.. the love of my life.. married, together 11 years. 2 babies.. then I found God in 2019.. I changed so much that my wife left me in 2022..she became a meth addict and ended up in NA (Narcotics anonymous) for 4 months.. then a mental hospital.
I had the perfect WORLDLY life..
Now I'm a single dad.. full time work while raising my 2 girls.
But I have God.
Sometimes life doesn't go as we had it planned..
God gave you those babies and just keep loving them and being the best father you can be! You have a job! Thank God for that and do your best! Pray for their mother and hopefully she will get well and be able to be in their lives one day! You have a whole lot to be thankful for and I'm sure anyone that knows you will be there for you in anyway possible! Only allow someone you completely trust to babysit your girls!

Anything you loose on earth will be given back to you and more..it talks about that in the bible..exactly how we dont know yet..but keep going! Dont trade anything of this world for the salvation you have found with God! Recently I’ve realized that the devil has been trying to attack me in my sleep. Even to the point where I couldn’t get up, and I couldn’t speak out loud. But just last night I had a dream. And in the dream there was someone who had come in to attack me and my family. As the person in my dream was going to attack one of my family members I began to pray out loud, proclaiming the name of Jesus. As those words were coming out of my mouth, the blade of the weapon began to fade away. How good is God??? No amount of words nor actions can explain it

I recently gave my life to Jesus last month. I’ve been experiencing this spiritual warfare. It’s been up and down. But this past week, these past few days especially, I have been noticing more so these attacks from the enemy. Fighting within depression and other ones. I hear these negative thoughts that are trying to take over me and keep me in misery. I’m so isolated right now. And I can feel and see the devil tempting me to go back. This really helped me because Jesus has already set us free from the bondage of sin so we must remain in that freedom and not go back to our prisons. How could we go back to what Christ has already freed us from?

There is a 12 step fellowship called slaa. If you find you cannot break free alone it may help.

I’ve been getting really distracted lately during devotional time. Whenever I can’t sleep; I don’t have the strength to get up and pray. The year started and I was fasting but when my grandma passed; it’s like I didnt feel like praying anymore. But day by day I’m learning that prayer and scripture are the weapons we need in order to fight this spiritual battle
I broke up with my boyfriend recently and had the same thoughts about not having a husband, children, and a happy family. Ive been settling with the idea that I will just be alone for life and never get the home or the family I dream of. I’m 34, so it’s not just negative thoughts, but also a physical reality for me. It makes me sad that I wasn’t wiser in choosing my partners in life and that I have been disobedient for so long. I’m learning to let go of my wants and fill my life with what God wants for me, but it’s hard and scary for me at times. I don’t know what will happen for me in life, but I know that I will keep the Lord close to my heart and keep learning and practicing his word.
I've been dealing with this stuff a lot as well. One bible chapter which helped me was 1 John 4, which says "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
Even something like therapy needs to be "tried". The devil attempts to be seen as an angel of light, and his servants as servants of light. Really try the spirit, and if it does not confess that Jesus came in the flesh, then it isn't of God.
Cait, this is my first time seeing one of your videos. As I woke up this morning, it was the first thing on my feed. I just wanted to give a word of encouragement because the enemy tries to use the same thoughts of not having a family on me. I dont suffer from CPTSD, but I have had a terrible parade of relationships with women (who were not God-fearing), and it has caused a lot of resentment toward females. Also because the woman I was married to and supposed to have a family with left no intention to return. Still, whenever the devil tries to inundate me with thoughts that I can never have a family, i speak outloud that "My Father has me in His heart, and His plan for me is greater than any lie tbat enters my head. I will continue to speak His name for His glory to who I can, and have faith He is working for my good. Leave Satan, in the name of Jesus, and take your lies with you." God bless you girl, stay strong and relentless in the battle in your mind because He has already given us victory ❤

One of the best videos I've ever seen! My list of negative thoughts repeats daily and grows exponentially. But thanks to this video, I'm going to confront them one by one using the Word of God. I'm so grateful, now I have a plan to fight back against negativity. This video helped me realize how these thoughts, likely fueled by Satan's influence, have broken me down over 42 years. I can't believe I didn't see it before, but now I'm ready for change!

@@Mark-qm4ud My Bible is on my pillow now. When I walk in my bedroom, I cannot miss it. I can now start to distinguish the voice of Satan when he starts to attack. I can quote Bible verses to him to proof the incorrectness of the assertions he wants to put in my mind. I do still fall back to the habits that Satan have grown over a long period of time in my mind, but it feels as if I manage to limit further growth of those bad habits. With Gods help and increasing my knowledge of God's Word I might be able to stay strong.
This made me cry. I suffer from CPTSD as well and I have no idea how I will navigate a healthy relationship. Time will tell. So far only been with narcs.

Hey Cait Taylor. My name is Eric. I found your video at precisely the right time when I needed this the most. I also have complex PTSD and trauma concerning past relationships. I have also have been seeing a therapist for several years. Yesterday, I explained to her in an email because I wasn't scheduled a session with her, that I have been bombarded with intense negative thoughts for the past few days. She empathized with me, suggested I try an called Insight Timer for beginning a meditation and breathing routines. I have it on my phone. I'm also a Christain, but out of practice reading the Bible. Your breakdown of the origins of these thoughts and what to do with them is straightforward and truly helpful. You reminded me that it is the devil, which EVERY word he say is a lie! The apostle Paul said "I die daily" and I do as well. When these thoughts come to mind I rebuke them in Jesus Name. and ask for forgiveness, not because I act upon them because they entered my mind period. For we are in this world but not of this world. However being in this world we will be tempted and will suffer the things that attack but we know the weapons of our warfare are not carnal But mighty in Jesus Name I want you to know God has not given us a spirit of fear of power love and a sound mind! I also want you to know that no weapon form against you will prosper in Jesus name!

Jesus' physical condition during that temptation became real to me when I was very sick in hospital for about 4 weeks with nothing but water and morphine. I could feel my body start to die, and my mind wouldn't work. All I could do was recite the Lord's prayer. Jesus would have been extremely depleted and on the verge of death. Recovery from that takes a long time, yet Jesus went on to minister. Incredible.

I too am struggling with negative thoughts abouts my life situation but recently my younger sister has layed on me accusations and stories from over 20 yrs ago of things I've said and done to her. One night after saying I was never a sister anyway.. after going for the slam dunk of my heart with lies and deceptions I've come to realize her friends and I have been a target depending on which side of the fence we are on ,it's all been for her own gain.
After being told I'm cursed and do I think I'm the only Christian in the family. It's been so depressing for me, and I truly understand when you hear those thoughts that deceive and keep me held back. Questioning my future value.
I forgive her and in my isolation and being single now for many yrs.

Get distractions when I read the bible. My dog's wanna come up to me noises outside. And I've often thought that that is satan.Trying to get me to stop reading the bible. I always at least make myself finish two pages. Thank you for your video. I wish I could talk to you about my girlfriend and some of her anxieti, When she pulls away from me she doesn't mean anything mean. But my anxieties take it as rejection, I've had to learn to stop and just wait until she comes back. I know when she comes back because I can see it in her eyes.!
