I find Diana Gabaldon's storytelling gifts to be absolutely astounding. Her capacity to capture and convey every nuance of character and setting is remarkable: vivid, real, immediate. I feel as though I am Claire when reading it. I also found the film series to be remarkably true to the books, and the casting: impeccable!! And yes! I am one of those who is planning to trek the Scottish Highlands and tour Scotland because of how compelling Ms. Gabaldon's writing is! You've changed my life! Literally! Thank you so much for all that you bring to us! ❤
I appreciate Diana Gabaldon more more from reading first Outlander book. She doesn't follow the movie as closely as I would like. But in her descriptions and phrases you can see her talking. Sam Heughan's Waypoints is also a good read. Couldn't put it down. Same with Outlander.
