You can go to North Korea. They just have government tour guides you must go with, and it's very dangerous to break the rules. A few tourists have been imprisoned/died for stealing propaganda posters and stuff like that. Information about North Korea is a bit hit-and-miss. Obviously it's a brutal dictatorship but there are a lot of weird lies about North Korea, like that they say they invented hamburgers etc, and the Olympics thing you mentioned, which isn't true. Most of this comes from South Korean media with no real sources. Also the whole "everyone is starving" thing that people say is apparently not true anymore and was mostly a problem from when the USSR, their only major trading partner, fell in the early 90s to the early 2010s.
