keekahari you welcome, it’s really technical and would be time consuming for me to explain. Try and find the images in design space which already have the guidelines when they are svg’s

You can probably set the background to cut and the other lines to draw with a white pen, maybe? That's what I am going to try soon. Or even lightly scoring.
The video has really helped me a lot since this is my first project, Question I am doing a cookie monster I use the mirror to do double side, everything came out perfect expect the name that says cookie one came out the correct way and the other came out backward, I only use the mirror for shadow copy but it still did work out correctly please help, me
Fantasydiamondz I’m glad it did , you would have to cut it separate from all the other pieces without mirroring and play around with it to fit in the spot .
It will not look the same as the other side due to the letters that cannot be mirrored because it’ll look backwards , you can also glue on a
background of a cookie on both sides then glue on the cookie jar
did you use the offset for the background of each character?
No I did not , the file comes with the shadow no need for offset.
I just brought a drill....what is you torque set on for those blocks and I can’t get my hole in the center seems like...any tips😜
use a ruler to center the hole.
The bit size depends on the dowel rod diameter. I use 12” 3/16 dowel rod meaning the bit should be 3/16
This is such a great video. But i have a stupid question. I am a newbie to this. I just got my machine. It seems your characters are bigger than the mat. Do i have to buy a longer mat? Thanks!!

I use 22x28 posterboard cut it in half and that half place it on the mat and what ever overlaps cut with scissors that way it will prevent jamming your machine

Im making these for my sons birthday. Im so nervous. But you're instructions are so awesome its calming the nerves!!
Concetta Schiraldi if you want it metallic look well then that’s the one you can use but if you want the one I used it’s the basic grey. I buy in bulk from officemax I’m not sure if they sell them individually. Also check staples or any craft store in your area they should have them individually.

im not using cardboard, it poster board from officemax

If you want it bigger than 21” then you would have to slice and cut piece by piece. That’s called larger than the mat.

So you have to reverse images when doing double sided?
When you say poster board do you mean oaktag? What we did projects on in school?
HKS Fall HKS Fall hi there, I have never used oaktag and never heard of that term sorry, if you google posterboard it will give you several colors and thickness I use the 22” and link is in description above
In this tutorial I show the posterboard when I finish cutting all the images and it’s in diff colors for example the shadow it’s in black and so on

How do you know what to mirror ?
Bianka Cintron it depends what I’m cutting ..... if I want my centerpieces doublesided then that’s when I mirror 1 side so it can fit properly.
