  • Making resolutions is a common tradition (just like popping fireworks) to welcome in the new year. Many people resolve to accomplish a personal goal or change bad behaviors in order to improve their lives using what they’ve learned in the previous year and building on top of that to make the new year better.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 makes this easier said than done for a lot of our community. The impact of this world crisis has been overwhelming to many people, but the drive to overcome and persevere is a natural quality. As people, we survive adversity and come away with new knowledge or experiences that can be beneficial in the future. We adjust to preserve our traditions, try to do the right things for the right reasons and offer unconditional support to each other.
In 2021, Helping Hands Hawaii is still serving our extended ohana in the community who face difficult life challenges and is committed to using what we learned last year to improve on our ability to foster self-sufficiency and resilience for households that we serve.
Mahalo for continuing your strong support in 2021, because together we can change the future one family at a time!
