He's certainly underrated. With a power set that eclipses Superman's, it's purely his weakness to fire vs an incredibly rare rock that puts Superman on top.

@Peter Diljo yes, I recall a few occasions where he overcame it, (Justice League Task Force, Martian Manhunter) but it doesn't seem to stick.

J'onn should always be a core member of the League no matter what continuity. I think the thing I hated most about the New 52 was removing MM in exchange for Cyborg. Love Vic, but he's more of a Titan to me.

Yah he’s a shapeshifter so if they could of used him be the black character bc let’s be real that’s all cyborg is. His father Cyrus could of been cyborg tbh instead of being part machine through he could of had half a machine suit and the rest wasn’t completed yet so it was his skin

Carl lumbly was awesome and it was cool to see him guest star on supergirl with David harewood(Martian manhunter on supergirl). He was great as Isaiah Bradley on falcon and the winter soilder as well

I love the Martian Manhunter from the Supergirl tv show. He is such a complex and fun character, and he is a good surrogate dad for Alex and Kara.

Yea he is a good character but they literally nerfed him so hard that he can't even go face to face with powered lex like lmao he can literally go face to face against Darkseid, superman and other really strong characters but instead he gets defeated everytime so Kara has the spotlight

Love J'onn MMH is one of my favorites, I find him really interesting with hes whole perspective of having lost hes world but actually having lived in it and of course hes power set is insane!
Question: Following infinite frontier are Martians now both half the apex super soldiers Perpetua created as well as retaining the genetic link to the burning Martians?
Maybe the burning Martian is what we get when a Martian overcomes fire but lacks the human side?

Me and my friend are coming up with their own dceu and then our universe Martian Manhunter was saved by John Stewart Green Lantern and he took the name John Jones from John Stewart he also is the last Martian and has anti-life equation inside of him and Darkside wants him killed so that he can get it
The writers show not respect towards Martian Manhunter at all. He's always killed for nothing yet he is on the level of Superman. He deserves way more. It's almost like he gets no love because he doesn't look human smh

I knew it was a long shot but you missed one of my favourite - Kyle Rayner Martian Manhunter. It's from the JLA story where Kobra went all freaky Friday and switched everyone's bodies. Kyle's mind was put into J'onn's body and once he got thr hang of shape-shifting he proceeded to go through a rundown of his favourite Martian characters - including Marvin Martian!
In the Silver Age, MM was just basically green Superman. Wasn't there a Batman Elseworlds called Holy Terror that featured J'onn J'ones?

To get started
A NEW ALTERNATE VERSION OF (MARTIAN MANHUNTER) I IMAGINE MIGHT EXIST & MUCH MORE:
Now I imagine an alternate version of (Martian ManHunter) who not only has different facial looks to him, I also imagine that he is blessed with strong good fortune, and that strong good fortune is that he is able to find a small number of females that he could have a genuine romantic relationships with.
In addition to that I envision that later on in his life he falls in love with a female alien being who has similar mental powers to his, and I envision that she is a (INDIGO LANTERN) & to add I imagine that before she became a member of the INDIGO-LANTERNS she had a emotional, and psychological breakdown after experiencing a number of traumatic events.
And so her mind needed to heal before she could get one with her life, but at some point she got chosen to become a (INDIGO LANTERN) & when her mind did finally fully heal, and the ring had come into her possession it gave off a 110% safe healthy healing glow that healed her emotional state, that hadn’t fully healed yet before the magic Indigo Power-Ring had arrived.
To add I imagine her name is (Galaxina) I envision that she is the daughter of a (PINK LANTERN)-(Ghia’ta) & of a (BLUE LANTERN) whose name is (Shon) & the time she had with her mother, and father lasted all the way to her 13th. birthday.
Now I envision that a few weeks after GALAXINA had turned 13years old, her father SHON was called away to help fight against a powerful enemies, and sadly her father died in the fight, but luckily her mother (Ghia’ta) she was able to stay behind because she wasn’t needed, and yet her mother’s life didn’t last that long with her.
At the time when (Galaxina) had turned 16years old her mother got killed protecting her from an invading race that wanted to conquer their home world, and I imagine that her mother was the only lantern that was on the planet, and not only that the only lantern in the sector of their home world’s solar-system galaxy, and there for I envision that her mother died risking her life protecting her, and everyone else living on their planet.
Now I imagine that Galaxina’s mother has 2 best friends who are GreenLanterns, one was from planet: Earth who has been dead for a long time his name was (Hal Jordan) & the other is (KILOWOG) he is a Bolovax from the planet:BOLOVAX-VIK, and I imagine that KILOWOG helped her by taking her to an alien being who is a Master Healer, and that being lives several light years away.
To add once KILOWOG got there he was told by the (Master Healer) that it would take a certain number of years for (GALAXINA) to fully heal both emotionally, and mentally from what she had experienced.
In addition I imagine that it took GALAXINA six years for her to fully heal from her mental state she was in, and I imagine it would take another six years for her to fully heal from her emotional state she was in; But I imagine that during her process of healing her emotional state she was in four years have gone by during the process, and it was at that point of time when she was resting that a Indigo-Ring had floated towards her, and it was through the window of her room she was in.
Plus to add you should know it imagine at this point of time (Galaxina) is 26years old, and I imagine after getting the magic riding it gave her instructions to that it needed to take her to the home planet of the (INDIGO LANTERNS CORE) in order for her to learn how to use her magic energy powers.
Now I imagine that it took (Galaxina) sixty-four years for her to fully master using the power of the magic Indigo-Ring she has, and I imagine that wouldn’t be a problem for her taking so long to master using the power, and it is because both of her parents have a longer lifeline that that of most alien species have to live, and so by the time she meets (Martian ManHunter) she is 118year old of age, and to add I envision that when she is that age she is working in a sector that is close to the solar-system galaxy where planet:Earth is at, and it is there where she will discover her true love.

Martian manhunter, mister x and super Martian are my favourite versions. Funny story I once had a fanfiction where the kryptonians were moved to Mars before krypton blew up.& the interracial creation of the kryptomartians occurred because of this. I didn't even know about the super Martian, I love a facts video on the character.

5:59 hold up if I remember correctly the Martian race isn't weaken by fire they are basically unstoppable the only reason they don't like fire is because either Cyborg or Bat man(can't remember who it was) made made Martian man hunter think fire is his weakness but in reality it more like a phobia.
