My girl friend was completely devastated by this tragedy and it was the beginning of the end of our relationship. No leash was her idea, not mine...

I remember when we went to visit our beagle when he was 4 weeks old. He was such a calm boy. Then we got him home at 8 weeks and the true beagle nature came out! Full of beans and bouncing off the walls. He's 1 now and we can't imagine life without him.
My 5 year old Jack Russell died suddenly whilst at the vets. My daughter decided that I needed another dog and chose a Beagle as a surprise. She was worried when she collected him because he was so calm, and a bit boring. He is now six months old and as mad as a hatter. Lovely personality but not a dog for anyone looking for an easy life.
@@raghavvermani4275 it depends on what energy dog you want, beagles have a high energy and labradors can be quite calm but both need lots of walks. Beagles get into everything and labs tend to eat everything as beagles do, Labrador retriever are easier to train and beagles are independent. out of the two I'd chose a beagle as I love their personality but it really depends on how much work you are willing to put in to a dog. Both are great dogs.

My two college housemates and I adopted a beagle puppy, we named her Sally, after my 1967 Mustang. She was a handful. Adorable but difficult to train and any chance she had to escape the house she took off like a stray bullet. But we loved her anyway. Just be careful if you get a beagle puppy not to grab the alpha pup like we did and know that they can be quite stubborn when it comes to discipline and rules. Sally lived to 15 on my college friend's family farm. I still miss her licks.
