I own the 210 combo and I find it has a more punchy, deep tone than the class d 210 combos I've heard with over double the power of the Katana 210

How does it compare to a 1x15 inch in terms of low/bottom end?

Keep in mind the K is class A/B, not class D.
Since Keebler Elf Magic isn't my strong suit, I asked an electrical engineer at work about the difference.
      Short and sweet (definitely oversimplified):
A/B is 3-5 times more power than D. At this price point, 3X is most realistic. So, the 160 RMS (X3 480) is right up there with the popular "mid-size" bass amps like the Rumble and Tone Hammer.

    Is this the 110?

I see everything is mic'd or di'd so wouldn't the recording playback mix dictate the band levels?
A true test would be to have just one room mic in front of the whole band.

Is this the 210 combo or the 110 combo?

I so wish they would have went 1x15 or at least 2x12. 2x10 is fart city. Not recommended for gig volume with flats on a P bass or an EB.. I would like to see you upgrade the speaker to a 1x15 and see whats inside and whats required to do that mod.

Nobody cares about "gigs," it's for bedrooms. Also if the venue you're playing at doesn't have PA's that allow you to just DI your bass in then why even show up?
the boss katanas have always been for bedroom practice and recording. Even then it's silly to lug around big cabs in 2022 unless you're a band like Swans or Sunn O))), a lot of bands like Earth use 1x10 2x10 cabs these days and just use the venues PA's.

@@nicknickson3650 You sound very entitled and spoiled. I wish you luck. The rest of us still lugging our own gear to bar gigs every weekend, for an extra 100 bucks a week. Well, we will keep on.. Youre very blessed with venues that care. The rest of the country isnt so lucky. A vocal PA is usually the best we can hope for.

@@simonsmith2642 I didn't mean to come across as such. The boss 210 bass katana is actually really loud and can keep up with a small/medium sized venue. It's AB power amp, and apparently can run an extension cab but I haven't tried it nor am I sure how exactly it would work but it apparently has the option.
but for me personally I am not a live performer, I do everything in my bedroom or the studio. Also I'm not even a bass player, I use bass amps for my guitar to get the lower frequencies that guitar amps can't reach. Bass amps are amazing for guitar, some of my favorite bands run their guitars into bass amps.

@@nicknickson3650 Oh I got ya, lost in text translation. My mistake. Excuse me please. Yes I have have use a Rumble with a tube screamer and gotten great results, that was blues I imagine any lower tunings a bass amp would be great! I have the head and 2x12 I pretty much use alike a twin reverb and I use my tube combo with it. Wet dry thing. Like the old Roland JC and tube amp plus valve combination. It works well and is LOUD. This bass amp will do live gigs fine. Any bar gig totally fine, of you are a modern clean jazz bass tone. If you use the muddy EB3 tone like I do, it gets the farts, so thats really all I wish for. Is either head + cab or a 15” combo. Otherwise its a really good amp. The grey paint is easier to see on the panel. But will scratch easier in my opinion. But its a good sounding amp for practice and small local bars and coffee shops etc.. Where I spend most of my time other than studio.

Love the bass guy going for the bend 0:53 wile Alan Garner (Hangover reference) is going to town on those drums! Funky and cool arrangement- original?
I play guitar- was thinking of grabbing a bass. I guess the idea is you are just playing in scale or hitting the root notes of the chords in the tune? Not sure if I should get 4 or 5 string. The 5 sounded better to my ears at GC. I liked one called Sterling by Music Man StingRay 35HH.

Bass is a whole different animal. You're definitely not going to be playing as many chords. The bass locks in with the kick drum, and bridges the rhythm and melodies.

@@redacted5035 I checked it out and for a 'lower' wattage amp it is super heavy and very loud. sounds great and seems to do pretty good with bass even with the smaller 10's.
A much more advanced player came over and sat with me and gave it a spin.
All I can say is he made that amp sound incredible.
