Pro's
- Has four different flight modes, including
* Smart Mode: it flies itself in circles. Flight parameters that can be modified in Smart mode include altitude, width of circle, and direction of circle (right or left).
* Self Leveling Mode: The aircraft is controlled by the sticks, but gyros and accelerometers will automatically level the aircraft if the sticks are centered. Excellent training mode for beginners, making it difficult to crash.
* Stabilized Mode: The aircraft uses gyros to dampen uncommanded movements such as from wind gusts. But there is no self-leveling ability. Quite a bit more difficult than self-leveling mode.
* Normal Mode: Full manual control. No gyro or accelerometer inputs. This model is relatively twitchy in this mode, so for experts only.
- Auto takeoff and landing ability
- Flies reasonably well in the wind when in self-leveling mode.
- Comes with nice protective carrying case. Also easy to setup in the field.
- Comes with a spare battery.
- Available in three colors (white, gray, or desert), and two versions (brushless or brushed motor). Strongly recommend that you consider the brushless version if you plan to do back to back flying with spare batteries. If flying brushed version, allow at least ten minute cooldown period between flights.
- Also includes a barometer for altitude hold when in self-leveling. I did not realize that before I flew it, and it kind of explains the one impact that I had with the ground. I was puzzled why it wasn't climbing when I increased power. When in self-leveling mode, to increase altitude, pilot must both increase power and also pull back on the elevator stick.
- Flight controller includes voice prompts for various settings, and also to warn of low battery.
- Flight controller is configurable.
- Does not require FAA registration.

- Flight time is short, at a little over three minutes per battery. Additional spare batteries are not currently available, but will likely appear in the next month or so.

You should ask one of your sponsors for a handheld anemometer, it'd be good pre flight info instead of having to rely on "it's quite windy" etc. Cool vids man. Gonna have to get some of the toy grade stuff for a bit of fun during summer (the best day in the UK lol).
I actually have one with me for all flights. I just didn't use it. I knew you guys would hear the wind in the microphone and thought that might be enough ;-)

Fun fact, you can use the battery from a PS3 controller, it also runs on 3,7 but the amps are higher, can't remember how much (i think it's 700). Connector is the same.

it does have an auto matic gravity control on the vehicle same like any quadcopter
and accelerometers also.
to my knowledge, ailerons are on the main wing next too the flaperons. which one is outer or inner on the main wings, I can't remember. the back ones are different.they are stabilizers. if the stabilizers have flaps, those flaps are elevators. if the entire stabilizer moves instead of having flaps, they are stabilators. spoken from a rookie in the USMC AirWing. again, not a pro. Don't quote me, but I hear this terminology regularly. take it easy Quadcopter 101.

So, the difference between a quadcopter and an airplane is that applying throttle will NOT making the plane gain altitude. I don't think it has anything to do with self leveling mode. You need to give it some elevator to gain altitude.
That only works momentarily, and the aircraft will slow with the elevator, possibly to a stall. For a given angle of attack, increasing throttle will increase altitude. krepelka.com/fsweb/lessons/student/studentlessons03.htm

Looks like a good indoor flyer. Kind of "mushes" around outside .. maybe on a calm night. Good feature (but annoying) with the voice telling you "Low Power". Looking forward to seeing more flights .. under better conditions. Cheers

hiya I also love this plane but sadly ive bot flown it for over a year because it is just hell trying to find any props for her I have follow tone of advice for this plane and have got atleast 6 different types of prop and not one works for it any help would be a big help in UK btw

You said you were using rudder only in the beginning, the plane does not have a rudder.
Correct. But I was using what normally would be the rudder control (right-left movement on left stick).
That is odd, my F-22 doesn’t use the yaw stick,
