in my opinion the reason the Predator Killer was given to humans was so we had technology to analyze in order to eventually put us on a more even playing field with the upgrade predators
@byob7728 while this is true there’s also an entire class of predators that just don’t care about honor they’re called bad bloods and i can almost guarantee that the upgrade predator was one of them
There are a few weapons that were overlooked, Combistick was a favorite for them but there were also Predator weapons like the Maul, Glave. Actually choppers Scimitars were Maul weapons on each arm. Mauls being short ranged hard hitting blades- and the Glave was like the combistick, but was more tailored for a cutting/arching staff weapon- to the combisticks “thrusting/stabbing” weapon. In Predator hunting ground, we were presented with the War Club and Compound Bow. The war club we saw a variation of in Prey with the Feral Predators combistick detaching and becoming a short blade weapon in one hand and a bludgeoning club weapon in the other for duel weapon use. In Predators, Mombasa was killed by that unique projectile weapon that suddenly expanded multiple telescopic spears from inside him. Also to add on, their armor- the net meshing they wear over their body serves two purposes: the netting serves as a conduction for their cloak to cover their bodies- and it also helps reduce body heat loss.
Fun fact: he says that in the video. He also explains the 3 different versions of the whip and what xenomorph they came from. Were you not paying any attention?
Wolf deserved a better movie. I only enjoyed AVP:R solely because of the Predators, Wolf in particular. The Predalien concept I was first familiar with them in the PC games and I felt the movie did the Predalien well enough but I will always have a soft spot for the Predator, but yeah Wolf deserved better as he was utterly badass.

I don't know if this counts but the Glaive sword used by Scarface in Predator concrete jungle, it's a bit different from a regular sword 'cause it's like a tonfa but bladed! 👍
Humans were only seen as dangerous, as your ability to forward think, plan and react to change in circumstances, to lay traps/ambushes. But once a hunter is experienced enough, your tactic's no longer work. Also remember the predators that come to Earth are basically teenagers proving they are worthy hunters. You are not fighting experienced adult hunters, you are fighting predator children/teenager who are still learning - hence traps/ambushes being successful. Against experienced adults, no human would stand a chance, so to make it a challenge for the adults they have given humanity a huge technological upgrade. There is no challenge/honour in a lion hunting a mouse.
The Bio mask also changes their vision. When Ducth confused the Predator by using mud to hide his body temperature, the Predator eventually removed his mask to get around the camouflage.
