That’s amazing! Based on how the dolphins, which definitely were aware at all times exactly where the people around them were, were literally leaping alongside the people, within a couple feet, and sometimes leading the surfers, also by a few feet, I’m completely sure those dolphins were considering themselves as surfing WITH the people, and not just that people just happened to b there also. they were not just participating in, but initiating a joint dolphin/human playtime! Absolutely incredible! U just don’t ever consider any animals as having an interest in interacting with other species, like humans do! We get such a kick out of positive interactions with animals, and they really do too, and it’s an incredible thought! I’m sure they were all excited to be “hanging out” with humans, and it made it a much better time for them than doing it without humans! What an amazing, and beautiful thing!

Im sure they get very bored out in the ocean, where while they do have their entertainment, they get bored after a while. Riding the waves with strange creatures like us are as exhilarating an experience for them as it is for us.

lol I thought the same! it was this moment towards the middle when they start speeding inside the wave, and I thought "damn they are so funny they are even starting a competiion with us!" haha love them, this had to be such joy and happiness to experience in real life, I had my smile on from the moment I saw the 1st dolphin 😍

I remember the first time I surfed with dolphins. Definitely a surreal moment. They’re the first surfers.

I appreciate that the surfers respected the dolphin's space. Instead of approaching them to force a close encounter, the dolphins were welcomed to join in as they pleased. It seems they were very much pleased to do just that! 😄

0:14 must be the wonderful times to these two surfers. They will cherish this in their old ages.
Dolphins are the water-human and they are more human than us as the level of our humanness are fading fast within us.
Dolphins will never leave their calf if they are unknowingly caught in a line and hook. They mother Dolphin will cry and encircle the calf till it is released from the hook.

This is why i hate seeing dolphins, orcas or seals confined in pools at zoos or in aquariums. They should be out there in the oceans with their pods, swimming, playing and hunting. Yes we still need interaction with them to understand and to create bond with and love for them. But i think the only proper interaction with them should be through surfing like this or tour with certified whale watching operators.
