This video is an absolute gem-thank you so much! This dataset is exactly what I was looking for. I truly hope new videos in this playlist are released soon!❤
I completely agree the dataset is superb and a great opportunity for any data scientist to get in touch with energy consumption data analysis. I am planning at least two more videos with this dataset, so stay tuned. 😁
Amazing content and valuable insights! I’m about to start EDA for time series on my personal project next week, as I’m currently wrapping up the data enrichment phase. Seeing how EDA for time series is approached by a senior data scientist is truly a blessing. Thank you so much!
Incredible content. I was looking for contents like these. Subscribed already. Hope you will continue with these type of analysis. You are doing a great job. Never did I think time series analysis would be so fun for me.
Nice tutorial. I am just preparing my first TS EDA tutorial as well. however in R :) I like how you handled the multiple seasonalities analysis , monthly, weekly, hourly would be interesting as well. The clustering is good idea, this dataset looks like ideal candidate for such analysis. especially DTW
Thank you! Indeed, I will try some clustering next and see how that works. 😁 Put the link here when your tutorial is up, if you are doing it in English. I am curios to see your approach. 😊
@@giraffa-analytics Actually I plan to do it in slovak, maybe as a recording of webinar. But the code will be with english comments, maybe you will find it useful
I have one question that is data science is competitive field now! I am Shahid, a 4th year CSE student. I am pursuing Data science. After completing my degree i have to apply for job that pressure me more. Now the problem is i often feel like low, i mean i didn’t learn anything. But i watched many tutorials and courses. Sometimes i don't learn i stopped learning. But sometimes i do projects like you are doing project and i am learning from you by doing project or writing code. I often feel doubt myself that is I really have interest in data science?? Then when i choose career in Software Engineering , web developer's i always choose to be data scientist instead of developer. What do you think is i actually want to pursue data science??? I even don't know that how i will reach there like you a senior data scientist. I mean what is the learning plan i also collect many data science roadmap. But what is the true learning plan? How you have reach your goal? How you maintained everything. I don't know what i am feeling 😢. Please give me suggestion...!
Hello Shahid! I will starts by saying that the more you learn, the less you think you know. That is normal, I feel the same each time I start a new field. The best way to build confidence is by having some good results on real projects and STOP comparing yourself to other people, 10-20 years ahead of you. As a data scientist is best to befriend discomfort: that is what will help you grow. During your career, try to explore different fields. For example I started with projects in manufacturing, creating dashboards in Tableau and simple models in R. After 2 years I went on with image processing doing a lot of deep learning for medical imaging. I learnt how to code in Python, process images aaand about neural networks from scratch. After 4 years, changed the business to intellectual property, then explored NLP, found I don't like it, and now I want to work on some F1 racing projects with sensor data, so I am playing with that to build experience. Ideally, if you are not the smartest in the room, you will have people to learn from, on a daily basis. Otherwise I would suggest getting a mentor (a senior data scientist that can guide you). I didn't have one and learning is much slower... After working for 10+ years as a data scientist, what I can tell you for sure, is that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you will not get the results others (or you) are expecting. Sometimes work will be boring because managers don't know what to ask from you and you might feel a lack of purpose. Other times it will be frustrating because you might spend months without results... unlike software engineering where you know exactly what the next steps are. If you start a job and find out you don't enjoy it, you can pivot towards a different field.
@giraffa-analytics Thank you so much. But you mean that there is no guarantee that i will get a job within one year...! But i have to keep going or keep learning.
If you get into data science you need to learn continuously... also on the job, not just before getting the job. But what I would do is apply for jobs (not the dream job), go to interviews just to practice, see how I manage and then fill the knowledge gaps.
*** This is incredible*** Hey Lou, I am about to appear for an interview for a firm that deals with electricity consumption and buying and selling electricity for various clients on daily basis. They work on time-series data and I could not find any projects yet that could give me some direction until I came across this video. Thank you so much for uploading this video. Your explanation is clear and since I had never worked on time-series data before, I think I know what I need to be focussing on and what to make of the statistics from the data. I also have a TH-cam channel of my own where in I talk about Data science, its great what you are doing here, Love from India.
Hi Anuj! I wish you the best of luck on the interview. I would love to hear how it went. ☺It could be helpful to read about time series decomposition as well, as I will only cover it in a next video.
This is pure gold! It's so rare to find content like this, I hope you continue what you're doing, from PH>>>
Welcome! I hope you find more interesting videos on my channel.

Thank YOU for taking the time to write back. It's so great this is actually helpful! I hope your data will reveal valuable information!

Best explanation ma'am and good dataset.
Hello and thank you for your appreciation! The dataset is not my contribution, but I agree is great to be opensource! :)
Really nice explaination mam
I am glad it was clear. 🤗

could you share your jupyter notebook.
I linked the code in the description.
nice explanation mam .........i am currently a student from iit bombay , india
Hello! Welcome to the channel! 😊
Excellent work! Please provide a code repository!
It is in the description, right at the end.
@@giraffa-analytics Excellent work! I subscribed!
Can one tell me how to get the data. I can't get it from the 2 links in the description.
you can clone the repo and get it from the folder. have fun!
Mam, can you make video on stats tutorial for the DS ?
Hello mam your videos are more helpful can you make video how to improve model performance using gradient decent
