I spent about a day and a half trying to work out how to get react app and datastore to work together, with like 12 different approaches and SO MANY WEBPACK ISSUES. I'm 25 minutes into this tutorial and I've already made more progress with Firestore than I could from trawling so many forums and stackoverflow posts and so on. Thank you.
I like how as someone who doesnt consider themselves a web developer, I found this video very helpful not only in learning the basics of using Firebase, but also learning some of the interesting things about Javascript. Thank you! I actually ended up enjoying learning and coding JavaScript from this!

Great video! Just a note: You don't need to hide the "initializeApp" config values, since those are not meant for security. So you don't really need to make them into env_variables. :)
This is what I was looking for. Could you please upload a video on how to show the realtime change in firestore like when you add a new user, it should show up on the web page without reloading. And when you delete a user, user should be removed from the UI and the firestore simultaneously without reloading the page.
Use can use the useEffect dependency array to make it happen. In that array have that user variable so that whenever Anychange is happen db data is fetched.

To make that work you can either use optimistic rendering (where you alter the state) or just refetch the data
