New chain. Giving it a little show off to the world since I couldn't find any while looking.
Also in the video heavy cable chain from Mene, two 24k rungs I made myself.
A little info on how I connect the chain
Some silver eagle type 2.

I bought the mini linear link and I had to change the toggle clasp as it kept falling off. Other than that it’s beautiful and I love it

What’s interesting is this same chain now weighs over 93 grams on Menē’s website. So I wonder if they beefed up those jump rings for extra security.

Just got mine today in 26”. It doesn’t hang straight, it makes at least 7 twist when you hang them. Annoying indeed. It looks like it was folded and bagged in the small pouch and tossed around. I ordered a small chain with it and they shipped it in one pouch, one box. Other than the gold, the handling was piss poor. I don’t expect that kind of care for items that cost more than my flat screen OLED TV. I ordered also a dagger pendant and it wasn’t perfect. I have like a pimple in the blade of the dagger. Thanks for the video. I am thinking of sending it somewhere for a sleek lock.
Ayee. Sorry stuff is a little off. I take zero credit for that! Lol. Actually makes me feel better. I've been making some custome jelwrey and it's mostly all ugly. It's really hard to make things so beautiful. If you check my 7 month review vid, it didn't change much from the day I got it. So thats a positive! And congrats on 24k chain. It's something else!!
Put a 1 oz gold Buffalo as a pendant, that way it’s all 24 k

Check my other video. I replaced the clasp with home made 24k spiral links. It's held up amazingly. I'll get update posted soon. My other Mene did with that same original clasp fell off once. Though it was in bed while sleeping it made me very worried when I noticed I didn't have it later at work. I don't sleep in them anymore. Lol
hello, was thinking of buying a 24k gold curb chain, i hear 24k is soft would the curb chain break easy? also i never take my chains off so can you sleep and shower in 24k gold ? does it bend easy or stretch?
I'm going a follow up video after a year of daily wear with a 1oz 24k ring attached. I'll measure and weigh. Check back.
I have two of the mene heavy box chains and the jump rings are extremely thin. It’s definitely the weakest part of the chain. Seems like one hard tug and that piece would just pop.
Agree. Check my other vids. I removed those and replaced them with a home made 24k spiral link. No issues since.

@@SmartBettsPM Me too. I don’t have a 9mm, but I wear quite a bit of gold. I like to layer and stack my pieces. If you have 9mm on the neck, you might need 9 mm on the hip.
I'm wo deri g if it can be worn daily without ir being all stretched out in a few years.

Tiny jump rings are the reason I will never buy another mene chain. It makes me so nervous to wear them because even the smaller pieces are a small fortune. I wore a heavy rounded box chain for about a year and never had a problem, but honestly I don't understand why they can't just beef them up a little bit. Not sure what gauge the wire is, let's just say 22awg. They could easily take it up from 22 to 20 with no impact on the cosmetics and a big difference in strength.
If you have no intention of selling it back to mene, take it to an Asian jeweler and have them put an S clasp on it. It's way more comfortable, durable and looks better too.

Your going to want to get a clasp that that has a mouth that opens and closes so you won't lose it. If that don't work.. maybe take it to a jeweler to see if they can sand it down to make the links fit tighter because that should be laying flat with no kinks..
I have some tools, I'm going to make a spiral gold ring to attach it fixed. Kinda like a key ring. Ive made a few and they hold up amazingly. I'll post a vid!

If you do any thing to that chain it will be defaced , mene will not take it back not that you want to sell it back to them, but you never know… I am upset with my bracelet falling off . 1 day it could be lost and there goes thousands of dollars . I am not happy over this

@@r.m2072 you are 10000% wrong. I daily wear a 24k chain for years and it's flawless. my 24k ring gets some beat to it. Not chains are fine for everyday. 🤙🥂
A key difference is that if you have over $10k of bullion (or a combined value of bullion, cash, checks, etc. that exceeds $10k) and you're traveling, you have to declare it. In some countries you may be required VAT on it as well, which can be 15%, 20%, or more. With 24K jewelry you don't have that issue. Granted, you pay a higher premium for the jewelry and get under spot for it if you sell. Plus, of course, with jewelry you get to wear it and enjoy it more regularly.

Just looking at 24k you can see how soft gold actually is. It’s simply too easy to bend. Not safe for daily wear and looks so beat up. This is why jewelers use other alloys and mix it, gives it a much better appearance. This doesn’t look like jewelry, it just looks like clumps of gold melted together. Sure, you can brag that you’re wearing pure gold but it looks like garbage compared to a diamond cut franco with the beautiful finish or diamond cut rope chain.
There are many different styles of jewlrey. I wouldn't discount ones that don't look flawless and shiny. Trading that for color or design is for the owner to decide. But I for sure understand what your saying. I'll make a video of me trying to bend the links. They may ding but by hand I won't be able to bend them at all. Cheers
Lol, you tripping balls; Jeweler’s just try and sell you half the gold for the price of the actual gold. And 24k is the prettiest gold to most people. It’s the brightest and the shiniest

I have a 5mm 22k diamond cut rope chain and I feel it’s the sweet spot because it looks like a nicely polished piece of jewelry but retains the amazing gold color. 24k pieces often appear very crude and just don’t have an appealing look outside of the color. It’s difficult to get that high polish finish on 24k.
@@potheadzassociation6338 The Egyptian God's adorned themselves in Pure gold. Pure gold has spiritual powers of healing, protection etc gets negated when mixed with lower inferior metals. The biggest con is Jewlers who sell idiots on that 24k is soft and will break so they sell you 14k for the price of 22/24 k gold. Yes its true 24k is soft but a chain, ring for going out will no be a problem.
