My name is Smilo and I was a stray dog.
I was abandoned on the street when I was probably 6 months old (they could only guess as I was so small), I was malnourished, unloved and scared.
The first time my family saw me they told the shelter they wanted to adopt me and as soon as they could they took me home.
I caught kennel cough when I was in the shelter and the staff offered to keep me there until I was well but my family thought it would be better for me if they could take me home to take care of me themselves, they took me home and they gave me my medicine and cared for me, 24 hours a day, until I was well again.
I love my family and they love me.
