The Spanish TV show "A Tope," a music program that ran from 1987 to 1988, looks like Quo flew in without any instruments, using local gear, to record the show with play back from the new album. Putting a decent act all the same! 1st episode of the second season, presenter was Eva Mosquera.
This is the 1st I've seen this video but seeing Rick and Francis playing Stratocasters it doesn't look right so used to seeing them playing their White and Green Telecasters...
@@fromthemakersof5529 neither did it happen in 1976 or 1977. Some of the songs from the RAOTW album in 1977 (Too Far Gone, Baby Boy, You Don't Own Me) were even more cringeworthy than the worst of 80's Quo.
This isn't Quo to me. Only the frantic four is Quo. John Edwards swinging his bass around like he's in a disco band. Francis and Rick had every right to carry on but the personnel and direction wasn't for me...
There will never be a band as good as the Quo ❤
Groovy, heavy with great melodies. Soooo goood it hurts 😁
Miss you Rick RIP😢😊😢😊
Always liked this track 🎸👍

Thanks for the info.
Short but profound interview with Francis, sums up their approach to playing ageless rock music

A far cry from on the level 😢
To be fair, I agree that 70s Quo was the best but On The Level II in 1988 was never going to happen.

And stuff later on as well 😂@@wirelessboogie
Lots of cocaine and Stratocasters 🤣
Andy Bown always preferred fine wine
