G is currently outside every timeline (the void), and i would imagine him having some powers to access codes of the game, but can't really reach to the outside world (maybe like a 2.5D space?) But this means that the game (or world) has to rerunning (just like how games reloading resources). While that happens, G also show them memories of their timelines (including MTT and FTT), so that they can know about each other, making it easier for teamwork. And its side effect is that their mentality is evenly distributed (LB getting more insane while others becoming more and more sane) Then they was told that this is an experiment, and could choose to stay or leave.
